This place is pretty good. Service is ok. Not great...not bad either. The inside dinning area is chill and has a full bar! Now for the food- Fresh bread - 4 out of 5 Pizza - 4 out of 5 Calamari - 4 out of 5 The overall place is cool. Great place to hangout with friends and catch up!

Popped by on the way home spontaneously without looking at reviews- why not? Slightly busy around 6pm on a Tuesday, but was served promptly. Got three slices: sausage, cheese, and Margherita. Loved how every inch of the sausage slice was covered in meat. They were all pretty good but not mind-blowing. Definitely hit them with salt/garlic/cheese/pepper at the counter. Three slices and two medium seltzer bottles was $20, so well priced.

What an excellent restaurant! We were in town for the weekend for the Brooklyn Half and we were in need of some pre race carbs. We had 6 people and we wait about 30 minutes for a table on a busy Friday but luckily we were able to wait at the bar. The servers were great and the menu was quite big I ended up going with the margherita pizza (small) and it was delicious! I had some leftovers to take home which was even better. A classic that they did great. We all enjoyed our food and would recommend

The food was amazing: we started with the "burrata explosion," which did not disappoint. Every dish that followed was amazing. Service was top notch. Chill cool environment. Great experience.

Il Porto is a great pick for Italian food. I have had a few items from their menu throughout the years and they have not disappointed. Their pizza is delicious. Beautiful presentation. Their calamari is nicely fried. The mussels are fresh and tasty. I recommend the lemon and garlic sauce...wow..so delicious, and enough for 2 to share. Also nice to dip the bread in (I love restaurants that start you off with a little bread..lol). And their tiramisu with a scoop of gelato was good. I wish the Sauvignon Blanc was a little colder/ more chilled, but that's just a preference so it doesn't really affect my rating for them. The service was good. Our waitress was super nice, friendly and accommodating. They weren't pushy, they came and checked on our table periodically. The service made the experience even better. The ambiance is nice, quiet with beautiful music in the background. A nice Brooklyn Brunch type of vibe...super enjoyable and nice setting. I recommend this to groups, date nights and it looks like they have a happy hour Mon-Fri...sooo you know what that means....just put ice cubes in your wine...lol jk. Totally recommend.

Stumbled into this gem. They had live music going and great spirits among the staff. We sat down at the bar hungry for food and drinks hahaha Pizza was top tier and also (not featured) the Caesar salad was very very tasty. The bartender also made us the strongest margarita ever and I was not mad about it. Although I feel like my time here was short I look forward to tying out more of their menu options.

I was craving pizza on a rainy day and decided to order from il Porto. I opted for the Brooklyn style pie (basically chicken parm in pizza form) which was really yummy - I love how thin but crispy the crust was. The ingredients all seemed really fresh too. In my opinion, they're one of the best spots to grab pizza in the area. Their pastas are also great. My personal fave is their spaghetti bella donna - which is a light mix of tomatoes, olives, garlic, & olive oil tossed with fresh pasta. They definitely have lots of options on the menu & the portions are generous too. Cannot recommend enough!

This pizza hit the spot! My friends and I visited Rooftop Reds for my gf's bachelorette night out. We were famished after visiting a massage spa and the vineyard was our next stop. Our pizza arrived fairly quickly and was warm and packaged well. They brought our food right to our table which was great. It was a limited menu but the food was great and kept us satisfied until later that night when we went to dinner in the city. I'm very happy they collab with surrounding businesses that may not offer food. The pizza makes me want to try them out and see what other items are on the menu.

AMAZING!!! I had a sausage and pepper roll, and it was INCREDIBLE! I was lucky the pizza section was open at about 10 am already. The rolls were fresh out of the oven- chicken parm or sausage and peppers. I chose the sausage after the man described the ingredients and that it was better than any festival. As soon as I dived in , heaven! The restaurant section next door opens at 11 am I think. They told me to take a look in after eating. Beautiful ! He showed the mural that was done by a man from Italy, the handmade tables from 100 year old wood. The pride in every detail- the food, service and feeling you will get- like walking into a friend's house and enjoying Grandma's home cooking! The owner told me about the jazz music they have, and I saw a large bar too. I can't wait for my next visit!

While looking for a place open late for dinner near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, took a chance on here based on menu and reviews. Wood fired pizza and great Italian menu was good for our party of 5. We dined in the restaurant area with the bar. Nice cozy rustic wood feel with white lights. Great casual ambience. They have an amazing jazz trio on Fridays & Saturday nights until 10, we learned upon asking after enjoying their amazing music while waiting to have our order taken. Waitress was amazing. Wrote nothing down and got it all right. 5 people drink orders, apps and meals. Food came quickly. Portions were very generous for the calamari app and my spinach salad is so huge it will be a second meal. As for the individual 12 inch pizzas? They're enough for 2 people. Each person ordered their own pie..we came home with a ton of leftover pizza. Everyone loved it.we had Margarita & naval yard pies. Delicious! The jazz band added such a nice vibe. They were really very talented trio. I don't know if I will ever be back to this area of Brooklyn, and if I am I'm coming back. And definitely telling friends who are going to Stranger Things Experience to take the short ride here for lunch or dinner.

For my entrée, I had the grilled pork chops, which were cooked perfectly. The pistachio gremolata added a unique burst of flavor that really elevated the dish. My friends ordered a variety of pasta dishes, which I tried and tasted good, and everyone enjoyed their meals. We ended with dessert and tried both the traditional tiramisu, which was very good, and the budino--a butterscotch pudding with pistachio gelato--which completely stole the show. Overall it was good, but the combination needed better balance. The gorgonzola had a pretty aggressive bite, and paired with the saltiness of the prosciutto it became a little much. There were some greens underneath, and once I incorporated those into each bite, they mellowed everything out considerably. I actually think the greens needed to be treated as part of the dish rather than essentially garnish. For my entrée I had the special, a risotto with clams and octopus. The octopus was easily the best part. The clams were extremely small and pretty average, to the point that I'm not sure they added much to the dish at all. The risotto itself was also surprisingly bland and not particularly enjoyable on its own. Mixed with the octopus, however, it worked much better and became a genuinely enjoyable bite. That's ultimately where the dish felt a little uneven: the strongest component was carrying the rest of the plate rather than everything working together. Service was fine when I arrived, but became noticeably slower once the outdoor seating filled up. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor sections, but appeared to have only two servers, with the hostess also serving and a barback supporting the operation. Once the patio got busy, most of the staff's attention shifted outside and the indoor dining room received considerably less attention. Nobody seemed lazy or inattentive individually. It simply looked understaffed for the number of tables they were trying to cover. One additional server during the busy period probably would have made a substantial difference. And, admittedly a minor thing, an Italian restaurant having limoncello but no amaretto was disappointing. Nothing here was terrible. The appetizer had good ideas, the octopus was quite good, and the meal had several enjoyable moments. The food and service were just inconsistent enough that I couldn't quite call it a strong three-star experience, but it was close. I'd put it around 2.75 stars, which I'm comfortable rounding to three.

Of course, we did what we always do; showed up without a reservation haha... It was packed, and the hostess told us the was no way they could seat us. Defeated, we went outside ans sat on a bench trying to figure out our next move. Then the unimaginable happened. One of the people running the floor passed us outside, started chatting with us, and said, "let me double-check". A few minutes later, he came back and got us a table! He make sure we understood that we only had it for a short window bc they needed it back at a certain time -- but we got at least hour and a half to enjoy it so we were THRILLED. To us that was more than enough. He really went out of his way to make it happen, and honestly wish I remembered his name so I could give him the credit he deserves. And the service from there was outstanding. Even though we knew we had a time restriction, we never felt rushed or hurried for a second. Everything felt relaxed, attentive, and perfectly paced, which made them whole experience even better. Once we sat down, we started ordering as quickly as possible. The grilled clams were insanely good -- flavorful and with just the right little kick. The Nduja & sungold tomato toast was surprise favorite. The tomatoes were so juicy, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Simple, but SO good. The little gem salad was fresh, crunchy and exactly what we needed in between all the richer dishes. For pastas, I had the mafaldini with parmigiano, one of their signatures, and it was delicious. BUT... I have to give the win to my husband's pick, rigatoni alla diavola. I know they are completely different dishes, and Im usually a white-sauce kind of girl, but there was something about that bold, spicy flavor that just HIT THE SPOT. And dessert... The vanilla soft serve gelato and the warm rasberry tart together were the perfect combination -- creamy, warm, fruity, and just the right way to finish our lucky dinner. Lilia was absolutely worth the wait and definitely lived up to the hype. Another Brooklyn spot checked off the list -- and one I'd happily go back to.

For mains: the sheep's milk agnolotti was not for me, it was oddly sweet, I'm honestly not sure why it's so popular. The rigatoni and gnocchi were very good - the rigatoni was perfectly al dente paired with good flavor and the texture of the gnocchi was perfect. Highly recommend ordering these. Dessert: they definitely don't skimp on the dessert, we each got our own but the gelato options were definitely shareable. They also had amaro options which I always appreciate but didn't get this time. The space was a little cramped indoors though that didn't bother me as much as the temperature. It was a really hot summer day and I don't think they had air conditioning? Or if they did it definitely was not at an ideal temperature as I didn't feel like there was much air circulation.

I can't say enough great things about the decor the ambience and imagining all of the past goings on in this restaurant. It's been watching over Brooklyn for well over 100 years now! That in itself is a Herculean feat! From what I was told it was very popular with the mob as they say... And that's why the kitchen which is at the very back of the restaurant has full glass windows so that you can see exactly what's going on in there. I guess some of these mob guys were paranoid and rightly so consider considering their history. I arrived with my friend on a Wednesday evening about 6 PM and there were some scattered tables but by 7 PM it was mobbed (pun intended ) in there!! our waiter was affable and patient and a quite enjoyable fellow. As a sidenote, you will not find any female servers they are all male which l lends to the old school vibe in my opinion. My friend ordered the lamb chops with broccoli Rabe. He enjoyed them but did mention that though they had great flavor one of them was slightly tough... It happens... My meal was pasta with Bolognese sauce with a dollop of fresh ricotta on top. It was delicious actually the sauce was excellent. I would've liked to have a different pasta shape but they did not have it. No biggie.
