Margherita Pizza
Attosa C.

Popped by on the way home spontaneously without looking at reviews- why not? Slightly busy around 6pm on a Tuesday, but was served promptly. Got three slices: sausage, cheese, and Margherita. Loved how every inch of the sausage slice was covered in meat. They were all pretty good but not mind-blowing. Definitely hit them with salt/garlic/cheese/pepper at the counter. Three slices and two medium seltzer bottles was $20, so well priced.

The food was amazing: we started with the "burrata explosion," which did not disappoint. Every dish that followed was amazing. Service was top notch. Chill cool environment. Great experience.

What an excellent restaurant! We were in town for the weekend for the Brooklyn Half and we were in need of some pre race carbs. We had 6 people and we wait about 30 minutes for a table on a busy Friday but luckily we were able to wait at the bar. The servers were great and the menu was quite big I ended up going with the margherita pizza (small) and it was delicious! I had some leftovers to take home which was even better. A classic that they did great. We all enjoyed our food and would recommend

Il Porto is a great pick for Italian food. I have had a few items from their menu throughout the years and they have not disappointed. Their pizza is delicious. Beautiful presentation. Their calamari is nicely fried. The mussels are fresh and tasty. I recommend the lemon and garlic sauce...wow..so delicious, and enough for 2 to share. Also nice to dip the bread in (I love restaurants that start you off with a little bread..lol). And their tiramisu with a scoop of gelato was good. I wish the Sauvignon Blanc was a little colder/ more chilled, but that's just a preference so it doesn't really affect my rating for them. The service was good. Our waitress was super nice, friendly and accommodating. They weren't pushy, they came and checked on our table periodically. The service made the experience even better. The ambiance is nice, quiet with beautiful music in the background. A nice Brooklyn Brunch type of vibe...super enjoyable and nice setting. I recommend this to groups, date nights and it looks like they have a happy hour Mon-Fri...sooo you know what that means....just put ice cubes in your wine...lol jk. Totally recommend.

Stumbled into this gem. They had live music going and great spirits among the staff. We sat down at the bar hungry for food and drinks hahaha Pizza was top tier and also (not featured) the Caesar salad was very very tasty. The bartender also made us the strongest margarita ever and I was not mad about it. Although I feel like my time here was short I look forward to tying out more of their menu options.

I was craving pizza on a rainy day and decided to order from il Porto. I opted for the Brooklyn style pie (basically chicken parm in pizza form) which was really yummy - I love how thin but crispy the crust was. The ingredients all seemed really fresh too. In my opinion, they're one of the best spots to grab pizza in the area. Their pastas are also great. My personal fave is their spaghetti bella donna - which is a light mix of tomatoes, olives, garlic, & olive oil tossed with fresh pasta. They definitely have lots of options on the menu & the portions are generous too. Cannot recommend enough!

This pizza hit the spot! My friends and I visited Rooftop Reds for my gf's bachelorette night out. We were famished after visiting a massage spa and the vineyard was our next stop. Our pizza arrived fairly quickly and was warm and packaged well. They brought our food right to our table which was great. It was a limited menu but the food was great and kept us satisfied until later that night when we went to dinner in the city. I'm very happy they collab with surrounding businesses that may not offer food. The pizza makes me want to try them out and see what other items are on the menu.

AMAZING!!! I had a sausage and pepper roll, and it was INCREDIBLE! I was lucky the pizza section was open at about 10 am already. The rolls were fresh out of the oven- chicken parm or sausage and peppers. I chose the sausage after the man described the ingredients and that it was better than any festival. As soon as I dived in , heaven! The restaurant section next door opens at 11 am I think. They told me to take a look in after eating. Beautiful ! He showed the mural that was done by a man from Italy, the handmade tables from 100 year old wood. The pride in every detail- the food, service and feeling you will get- like walking into a friend's house and enjoying Grandma's home cooking! The owner told me about the jazz music they have, and I saw a large bar too. I can't wait for my next visit!

While looking for a place open late for dinner near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, took a chance on here based on menu and reviews. Wood fired pizza and great Italian menu was good for our party of 5. We dined in the restaurant area with the bar. Nice cozy rustic wood feel with white lights. Great casual ambience. They have an amazing jazz trio on Fridays & Saturday nights until 10, we learned upon asking after enjoying their amazing music while waiting to have our order taken. Waitress was amazing. Wrote nothing down and got it all right. 5 people drink orders, apps and meals. Food came quickly. Portions were very generous for the calamari app and my spinach salad is so huge it will be a second meal. As for the individual 12 inch pizzas? They're enough for 2 people. Each person ordered their own pie..we came home with a ton of leftover pizza. Everyone loved it.we had Margarita & naval yard pies. Delicious! The jazz band added such a nice vibe. They were really very talented trio. I don't know if I will ever be back to this area of Brooklyn, and if I am I'm coming back. And definitely telling friends who are going to Stranger Things Experience to take the short ride here for lunch or dinner.

I came here to look at the restaurant before booking a private event, management was friendly and professional. Their grandma slice and Penne Porto was delicious! Fresh mozzarella and basil with flavorful crushed tomato, what's not to like from Grandma! The ambiance was comfortable and the lighting good. They have nice outdoor seating as well. Service was great. Can't wait for my event!

TL;DR version- Some high highs and some very low lows. Hot Figs was a fun app. By a mile, the soups…read morewere the favorites, so I would recommend the Pepián or Caldo Tlalpeño Rojo. Nice happy hour and a large chocolate drink selection I was at this unique Guatemalan (ish) restaurant a while back with one of my groups. I said "ish" because the menu has dishes from all over, ranging from sandwiches to BBQ ribs to Guatemalan and Mexican soups. It's out there, and even though not everything works that well, it's fun, and if you can't find something you want to order here, you probably shouldn't go out to restaurants. There was also live jazz music that night, which was loud but nice to listen to. Since it was happy hour, a bunch of us got drinks. I went with a maracuya margarita, which was decent; someone else had a jalapeño margarita, someone had a beer, and someone had a mojito. There were a few nice hot sauces on the table, with the red one reminding me of salsa macha as it had a smoky kick and a spicier green sauce reminiscent of ají verde. They gave us some complimentary blue corn chips and a very mild black bean dip, which was tasty enough and hard to complain about, as it was free. From the appetizers, we got the Hot Figs for $15.95, consisting of honey goat cheese, corn tortilla chips, and plum + pumpkin seeds. This was a unique and fun blend and reminded me more of something you would find in a wine bar. The mix of sweet and salty, with a bit of crunch from the seeds, was nice. This was good, and I would recommend it for a table rather than for a solo diner. There was also The Zingy Salad for $21.95, featuring zucchini spirals, yuzu, tomato, onion, cilantro, pumpkin seeds, and a jalapeño infusion. $18.95. The salad was fine with a bit of crunch and a mild spiciness. It was fine, though a bit wet, for lack of a better word. The best dishes of the night were the soups, which each had its own distinct flavor profile. My sight presence went to the Pepián for $21.95, consisting of chicken, pumpkin/sesame seeds, green tomatillo, cinnamon, cumin, black pepper, carrots, chili coban/pasta/guaque, and potato + rice. There was plenty of tender chicken inside, with the soup having a nice roasted flavor with some spice and a bit of sourness. The potatoes and rice on the bottom added more sustenance to this dish. Almost equally delicious was the Caldo Tlalpeño Rojo for a dollar more with shredded chicken, tomato, black pepper, garlic, onions, peas, chickpeas, corn, achiote, chipotle, Monterey jack cheese, and crunchy blue corn tortilla chips. By comparison, this was a bit heartier, with the melted cheese and shredded tortilla chips inside, similar to soups found in Mexican cuisine. While I also liked the mix of veggies a bit more in this one, as it added a bit more texture, I still slightly preferred the flavor of the other soup, as I usually prefer a bit more spice. The rest of the food was fine. The TPC sandwich for $19.95 with chicken, peanut butter, coconut cream, ginger, cilantro, pickled carrots, and lime was fine. For the number of ingredients, I found it a bit sweet, likely from the cream and the peanut butter mix. The bread was nice, but it also fell apart. It came with a nice side salad with a good vinaigrette. The most expensive at $24.95 were the Slow Cooked BBQ Ribs, consisting of baby back ribs with rice and beans. The ribs were almost a bit too tender as they lacked any bite, which was nice, but the sauce was a bit too generic tasting, reminding me of Sweet Baby Ray's or something similar. The rice and beans were standard. This was also OK. Next came some dessert. There was first the $12.95 Rosemary Churros served with dulce de leche & chocolate dips. While I'm not sure if it worked, the rosemary did add a unique smell and a bit of flavor, and at least it wasn't generic. The churros themselves were hot, and the sauces were standard, with my preference being the dulce de leche. I also ordered a Champurrado for $7.95, which was fine. It wasn't as thick as I expected, though perhaps the style is a bit different than the champurrados I rarely buy from Mexican street carts. The chocolate flavor was very nice, though, and I like that it wasn't too sweet. Another person got a $4 Alfajor, which I got a bite of, which was standard. This place is a bit hard to rate. The two soups were wonderful, I liked the appetizers, and I found a couple of the other dishes just OK. Overall, it was a good meal, but I'm not craving to go back. This would be the perfect 3.5, but I'll round up as that doesn't exist.

Our servers were lovely and helpful -- I had the Jocon (a flavorful chicken soup/stew), one person had a omelette, another had chicken, and an another wrap/sandwich. There were drinks -- coffee, hot chocolate, and something fruity. They also brought us corn chips and a bean dipping sauce to start -- YUM! I really liked the hot green sauce that accompanied the meal, too. This is a great find!

Every table has a placemat with crayons which is such a fun way to keep kids and adults entertained. The food was delicious and tasted fresh, living up to their messaging on sourcing local food. We ordered the egg katsu sandwich and the eggs rothko. The sandwich was very well made with a nice crisp panko crusting that didnt feel heavy on the oil, and yet still managed to have a light airy egg inside. The eggs rothko was buttery and flavorful but still managed to not feel too heavy. The broiled tomatos on the side were a nice touch to contrast the egg and toast from the main dish. Overall I enjoyed this place and would love to come back to try more dishes. The vibe was friendly and welcoming, making it the perfect weekend brunch spot.
