The food is very mediocre and it doesn't help the service is terrible. A man who appears to be the owner never says hi when you walk in. He barely looks up from his phone until it's time to pay. Love this pizza spot. I make sure every time Im in town, I stop by for a pie.. Its always fresh and piping hot just the way I like it. The staff were nice and friendly.. And took care of my family. They even made an exception for us and allowed me to buy a liter of soda even though the sign said its for takeout only. Just because we dined in they let us buy it. read more

Pleasant experience at this little pizzeria. We stopped on our way from CT to CA with the kids-a toddler and an 8 month-old. First impressions were just okay-there was a female waitress who chatted a bit, but overall I'd say the staff weren't overly social. I personally like someone to greet me and be pretty friendly, which is why I gave the place 4 stars. I chose the veggie bianco pizza, and my husband chose the sausage pizza with red sauce. We ordered a plate of plain spaghetti for my toddler, but were served ziti (which we just accepted and didn't say anything). The noodles were soaked in butter, and therefore delicious, but they did ignore our instruction to only put a little olive oil on. Luckily, my toddler didn't seem to notice too much. The crust on both pizzas was the star-it was light and chewy and slightly crispy, definitely the best part. The bianca pizza was good, but I was left wishing that I had ordered the cheese with red sauce-the Alfredo sauce didn't have much flavor, but the cheese, crust, and toppings made up for it. Overall, I'd say definitely make a stop at this little place. Order the pizza with red sauce, and you won't be disappointed! read more

Stopped by for a late lunch yesterday - got a grandma slice and a pepperoni pinwheel - both were delicious. The grandma slice had ALOT of garlic on it, which I love. I'd definitely go back for another slice! The workers are always friendly and polite. Great spot! read more

Decided to give them another chance and had a better experience with the pizza tonight- it was delicious! They sent me the wrong one at first but I noticed it wasn't gluten-free, they were very apologetic and brought me the correct pizza right away along with Hershey kisses! Il Villagio is a great spot to grab a slice of pizza or a meal on lunch break. I heard bad things before, but now know that the restaurant was bought by new people and completely changed hands about a year ago. My coworkers and I stop in all the time and also order delivery since we work right up the street. The food is always tasty and hot. Prices are a little on the high side (ok, definitely on the high side for pizza) but well worth it. Pasta dishes are great and we haven't had a bad meal in the handful of times we've been there. A few caveats: delivery takes a long time. Order at 11 for delivery by noon even if you're close by. Second, salads are just iceberg lettuce with toppings so skip the salads. Lastly, eating at the restaurant during lunch time is hit and miss when it comes to how long you'll be waiting for your food. Be safe and order ahead. Overall, great food and good portions. My coworker commented that the Grandpa pizza was the best pizza she ever had. read more

I wanted to try this place since it was sold and is under new ownership and management. Much to my surprise, this place has gown WAY downhill. Our pizza arrived after over an hour and was COLD! The people that work there are mostly family members and love to have a good time.They are more of a Pizzeria than a place to grab gourmet Italian food but their food (other than their pizza) is delicious as well. Worst place to go in suffern unless u like frozen food what kind of italians use frozen chicken cutlet? There so called homemade soup look closely at it sure looks like progresso to me.
