Came here on the evening of April 26; the service was horrible. Our waiter first came to the table and just stood there- I don't think he said more than repeating back our order the whole night. Then I had to chase him down after waiting over 15 minutes for apps and bread! BREAD, seriously!!! There was only one other table there, and three other tables across from us sat un-bussed for thirty minutes. Not pleasant to look at, especially since the restaurant was otherwise all but empty. Our waiter was clearly more interested in flirting with the one other server on duty, who was trying to work and not returning his attention, but whatever. She was the one who ended up bringing our food and refilling my drink. Later our server moved on to show one of the other employees something on his phone, where I found him when I chased him down to get the bill. Which he then had to write out and add up with a calculator while we waited even longer so we could LEAVE. The two stars are for the food, which was very good- garlic knots were delish and we very much enjoyed our pizzas. Crust was the perfect thickness and a good balance of crispy and chewy. My son would advise that you watch out for the "splotches" of delicious tomato sauce on top of the "Classic" pizza, as kids may be expecting a more traditional cheese-covered pie, but his dad and I thought it was great. read more

I went here for lunch with my family and we ordered the Margarita Fresh Tomato pizza and the garlic knots. The garlic knots were pretty good and you can tell they were cooked in that brick oven. The pizza was just ok, I was expecting better. The flavor was kind of boring but it was not bad. They did give us some zeppoles and they were really delicious. The staff were very friendly and courteous. I will try it one more time with a different pizza to see if it will get better. read more

Well, alas, I march forward. As I gain wisdom, I lose my lather. I am no longer careful, I spew more secrets and I sense more nonsense. I have royally tasted much of this menu and never once spat a smug look. Elated and joyful always. From their many pizza creations (margherita, the classic, prosciutto topped, marina/calamari pizza, throw some poop on there I'd have probably ate it) to their chicken parm over linguini, to the grilled chicken, the string beans, the Italian wings, the desserts, the Zeppppps. The news has already been spread. I am unfortunately late to a game, a game in which I may have been one of the first 50-100 consumers. Oh well. I have many a story here. We came here for a late lunch and had a great time. The staff here are very friendly and caring. They gave us a free appetizer on the house - fried zucchini which was very delicious. We ordered a couple of different pies to split and try different ones out. My favorite was the chicken bacon ranch, and the others loved the hot honey pizza and the arugula prosciutto pizza. And to top off their excellent service, they surprised us with a complimentary dessert! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area! read more

Great pizza place! Came in with some friends and shared a couple of their pizzas. Both were really tasty. A couple of drawbacks - they don't have fountain soda so no refills and they don't serve draft beers either. It's not the end of the world but it's worth noting. Our favorite place to eat before catching a movie at the Lafayette theatre. Brick oven pizza is fantastic. Favorites include the Margarita pizza, the brick oven wings and the house salad with string beans and homemade italian vinaigrette. Leave room for dessert, they have a tasty banana pudding, their delicious zeppoles or tiramisu, all homemade. The service is always friendly and professional. They accommodated my request for a different pasta sauce on my side (I don't care for marinara). Alfredo sauce was good, not too heavy, just a bit broken. Eggplant was tender and a good amount of cheese stuffing. Smothered in melted mozzarella cheese (not my personal preference, too much cheese for me). Cheese lovers will love this. Fried zucchini App came with a side of sauce. Very good. So-So News Sausage and pepper hero pretty good. Good quality sausage. Very few peppers and big hunks of onion made it difficult to eat. Onions really should have been sliced. Bad News Chicken and broccoli rabe hero. Not a lot of grilled chicken but big issue was the broccoli rabe. Large full stalks used which were very stringy and chewy too making it impossible to eat. Took off all of the broccoli rabe and cut it up but that didn't help the issues. Ended up throwing out the brocolli rabe. read more

Passing through New York, and this came up on Google, so we stopped here to give it a try. We don't come to the East Coast very often and we wanted to say we tried pizza in New York. I know that is supposed to be New York city but what the hey. Tried the Meat Lovers pizza. Loved the thin crispy crust. The sauce was a little sweet for my tastes, but it was still quite good. Also had the Chicken Parmesan pizza, I would say it is a great comfort food. Very enjoyable. After hearing about the desserts from our waitress, I wanted to try most of the menu items but was already quite full so we tried the Homemade Bannana Pudding which had nilla wafers. It was awesome! Also had to try the Zeppoles. They were freshly fried so they were warm and delicious! Our server was very nice. The place was clean and comfortable. Even the bathroom was clean, a nice suprise compared to most restaurants I have visited. read more

The staff are amazing. We came late in the evening and needed to eat outside because we brought our puppy. The young lady who served us and the boss were so accommodating. They even brought our puppy some chicken and a dish of water. We had the wings, fried zucchini and bruschetta all of which were so tasty; even the blue cheese was good. Then we had the arugula and Prosciutto pizza, a margherita pizza and a pepperoni pizza. All of them were wonderful. We even had the entree of chicken with peppers and vinegar. What an excellent meal! A business trip brought us to New York, and we were so fortunate to find this wonderful little neighborhood Italian restaurant. We had the medium heat buffalo wings for an appetizer, and I thought they were so well flavored with just the right amount of heat--some of the tastiest wings I've ever had! For our main course we split the seafood platter with linguini and chose the white sauce, and we also ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza (with pineapple on half). The seafood platter was a massive portion and an excellent variety of seafood--crab, scallops, clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari and lobster. My travel companion and I absolutely loved this meal.
