Got my lashes done on a Thursday at 12:30. The appointment took and hour and a half, and I took excellent care of them as best as I could afterwards. (This was my first time getting extensions so I had done my research and also read through the aftercare pamphlet) However, by Sunday night, every single extension had fallen off my face. I literally stood in front of the mirror and watched the last of them fall off as I was blinking. I sent an email and spoke with Lisa over the phone to discuss getting a refund. It was a bit difficult because she blamed it on the stylist who did my lashes and said it was because she's new and doesn't have as much experience, and then offered me to get them redone by the same stylist without charge. Ummm... no. Not wasting my time on that again. She then told me she would do it herself and it would be better because she knows what she's doing. I told her no because my natural lashes were falling out with the extensions too and I didn't feel comfortable getting them done again so soon. In the end, she didn't want to give me a full refund because of the time that was spent putting them on me and that the lashes themselves are expensive. First of all, it was a complete waste of MY time as well. If it was done right, and done well I wouldn't have asked for my money back. Second of all, I know they're expensive because I had to spend my money on them and they lasted less than 3 full days. Overall pretty disappointing experience. She ended up not giving me a full refund but I took what I could get because there's no way I wanted to lose the full amount I spent on nothing. 10/10 would not recommend. 10/10 waste of my time and money. read more

I had a special occasion to attend so I asked my friend( who had lashes extensions before) who to use. She gave me Lisa`s name and info in San Mateo and I made the appointment. Lisa was quick to follow up with me and in I went, this was my first time with extensions. It took and hour and a half, lying with your eyes closed. Lisa plays music and we chatted a little bit about what I wanted. She places a pad on your face, under each eye to protect lower lashes, they where uncomfortable for me as they felt like they where in my eyes but I let Lisa know and she moved them. I told Lisa I wanted a natural look in hind site I should have brought an picture or had her show me the lashes so that was my fault. The lashes where a bit of a shock to me, but gorgeous it took me a couple of days to get used to them and after several compliments, get used to them I did. So here is where Lisa earned the 5 starts, after several lashes fell out in the first couple of days I called Lisa and told her, she offered to have me come in the next week and she would fix them with no charge. I was not able to get in to see Lisa until 3 weeks after they where first applied so by the time I got to see Lisa it was almost time for a refresh, Lisa did this at no cost and took out the longer lashes and applied a shorter and lighter color lash. So thanks to Lisa and her great customer service, and my gorgeous eye lashes. read more

Lisa is easy to speak to, professional, light with her hands, fast, meticulous & very trust worthy which is important with your delicate eye area. I have had eyelash extensions done by 2 other people before seeing Lisa & I can definitely see/feel/tell the difference in her products & technique! Lisa's lashes are really light weight & the glue is not irritating (I have super sensitive skin) - I was apprehensive when showering after my lashes due to prior experiences with my eyes stinging so I was pleasantly surprised that there was no stinging - yay!! Lisa is really knowledgable in her line of work & will also tell you how to care for your lashes with instructions & a brush when you 1st see her all to take home. The ilash studio is in a salon but is a private room upstairs that's peaceful, clean & quiet. There is a sitting area down the hall so you can feel totally at ease with your privacy & eyelash pampering. I love Lisa & am addicted to her eyelash extensions & would definitely highly recommend her! Lisa always provides such excellent service. I was not born with a full set of lashes and, to be quite honest, i don't have a lot of hair. LOL. My lashes are always a conversation starter with my patients at work and it shaves off so much time in the morning. I just wish they would make the drive from the city to see Lisa in San Mateo because I LOVE the end result and it's definitely worth it. Trust me, I've had my fair share of "shedding" after all, it is hair, and it goes through stages; regardless of what stage my lashes are in, she always makes them look FABULOUS! I dont understand what happened to my yelp, but here it goes again. Lisa is wonderful at what she does, shes a true artist. She knows just what lashes to use on your eyes so your lashes dont get damaged and she designs the shape perfect to your eyes. I have been getting lash extensions for many years and have tried out many places both in San Francisco and the peninsula and I give iLash Studio my highest recommendation. I have had many bad experiences with lash extensions. It is very important that the person that you go to is well trained and is able to place each lash extension precisely on one of your own lashes and ensure that there is no clumping with other lashes. I find that all of the technicians at iLash do a great job. They will take the time to understand your lashes and make recommendations based on what is best for you and what look you would like. The other thing that is important to me is that the service doesn't take too long. I wouldn't trade off quality for speed with lashes, but iLash offers skilled technicians so that you can get both. Also, it is actually quite relaxing and enjoyable to get your lashes done here. Everyone is very nice and they make you very comfortable.
