I was previously seeing another lash tech but she wasn't being very safe during covid and lived very far, so I looked for a new lash tech and found Erika on IG. I found Erika on Instagram a while back and always thought her work was AMAZING ! When I finally told myself I wanted to learn this craft, one of my friends recommended her to me. I can honestly say that I couldn't have found a better teacher. From the start, Erika has been nothing but sweet and patient with me. Her online courses were straight to the point and very informative. She made sure I knew all the basic before coming in class so I was fully prepared. Where do I begin! I've been getting my lashes done for a while! And Erika is BY FAR thee best lash artist I've gone too. Her space is beautiful, the energy of space is clean and positive! I've been getting my eyelash extensions done by Erika for years and she's never failed me! She's very warm and friendly. Her prices are affordable as well. Highly skilled and knowledgeable of her craft. She only applies extensions that she knows your eyelashes can tolerate, even if that means going with a cheaper set. She also recommends taking breaks from extensions to preserve your eyelash health which I really appreciate. She runs an honest business versus jeopardizing a clients eyelash health just to make a few more bucks. She's very light handed -- I've fallen asleep a few times during appointments, lol. All her sets are beautiful, my favorites being hybrid and volume! Very clean environment! I noticed before every one of my appointments she disinfects her lash table, tools, and washes her hands -- I'm sure to pay attention to this (I'm a germaphobe). Definitely adds to her professionalism. She also offers me hand sanitizer which I never turn down, can't go wrong there. She was closed for a while due to COVID-19, but opened back up recently. She now takes even more measures/precautions to ensure her space is COVID free. She takes my temperature before we start and requires masks to be worn at all times. Appointments are easy to make. Very convenient to find all her info in the same place, on her IG account. She always updates her clientele with any changes or news. My experience with Erika(ilashbaddies) has been by far one of the best in the lash industry! I did her lash course both online & hands on training class. I'll start by saying that the online course was very informative, there was information in this course that I didn't ever think to care about, but are so important to have knowledge of in this industry. My training class was 8 hours, I was able to practice and ask all the questions I had in this time, including hands on lashing on a model. Her knowledge and experience in the lash extension industry is very fascinating and admirable. I am 1000% satisfied, I know I was trained properly and she made me feel confident entering this business. ALWAYS 15+ min late but will cancel on you if you're late. Never seen her wash her hands, while I was there. I got there one morning and waited for her to finish a client for over 15 minutes and then I walked right in and she didn't Wash her hands. Disgusting. Spreading oils of someone else's pimpled forehead into mine then she kept texting touching her phone. She Canceled my appointment very last minute another time after she already rescheduled me once, and diesnt even consider how I switched my schedule twice at work for her irresponsibility . She then set me for a Saturday and told me I owed her additional $20 for a weekend fee and this was all because she had messed up my 2 prior appointments!!! I took my first ever lash class with ms Ilashbaddies and let me just say how amazing it was! We started off with two online courses (due to covid) that were "how to's" on classic and volume lashing. I really enjoyed reading in depth about the lash lengths, styles, how to decide what looks best for the clients eyes, she went over the importance of humidity in the room while lashing, etc. We even went over how to disinfect our tools with barbicide! I can definitely say she had a ton of helpful information in the two online courses before attending the actual class and I had a ton of time to complete the courses before attending the actual class where I'd practice and lash my first client with their full hybrid set! I went in on a Sunday (which is perfect because I work) and we lashed away. She had a full kit ready for me which contained like 5 lash trays, a fan, my tweezers to lash, glue, eye pads, spoolys, really just everything that I needed to be able to lash my first 50 clients so that was super nice because I would've never known what I needed! Class started at 12 and didn't end until about 8pm. The whole time I was there I practiced on my doll head, took a 15 min break and then by the time I knew it, it was time to lash my model. Erika was the sweetest to me and had soooo much patience when I was getting frustrated because my fans weren't coming out the way I wanted them too at first. She is a great teacher, very detailed when explaining things, and very patient. Only thing I would've done different or liked to have differently would be to start class in the morning so we'd be done earlier because my eyes were sooo strained after lashing for hours straight! But overall, the experience was great, Erika is super knowledgeable when it comes to lashing, and really cares about the safety of her clients and her students. I'd take another class from her (maybe brow tinting) hehe! HINT HINT ***. She's also soooo bomb at lashing guys. I'd trust her with my lashes, brows, and anything teaching she would do! read more
