If you can't find parking and make your own no one will come wake you up. There was definitely a 1 hour wait for the showers so I didn't get to experience that. The inside is pretty clean no complaints on the restroom. I would love to come back here!

We paid $2.50 for the air machine, only to discover it wasn't working. We went inside and told the attendant. She apologized and refunded us $2--not the full $2.50--and then helpfully told us, "Just pull around back where the diesel trucks are and you can get air for free." Great. We pulled around back but couldn't figure out where she meant. There were no nearby parking spaces suitable for our RV, so we stopped briefly at the entrance to the tire/service area so we could go inside and ASK WHERE WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GO. The coach had been there perhaps two minutes. There were no trucks waiting to enter the service area. Instead of simply saying, "You can't stop there--please move," and answering our question, the service-center employees immediately became extremely confrontational. One woman was screaming at us, and they called both a TOW TRUCK AND THE POLICE. When I went to get into the coach to move it, one of the employees actually yelled, "DON'T MOVE IT NOW! WE ALREADY HAVE A TOW TRUCK COMING!" Think about that for a moment. We were supposedly causing a problem because the RV was blocking an entrance. I attempted to immediately remove the RV from that entrance--and an employee told me NOT TO MOVE IT because they had already called a tow truck. A police officer arrived before we left. He seemed to find the entire situation rather silly himself, but informed us that the business had declared us a nuisance, trespassed us from the property, and we would not be permitted to return. No problem whatsoever. We were customers who had paid for equipment that didn't work, followed the instructions of a Love's employee, became confused about where she had directed us, and stopped for approximately two minutes to ASK FOR DIRECTIONS. That somehow escalated into screaming employees, a tow truck, police, and a trespass order. We have traveled extensively by RV and have dealt with countless truck stops, campgrounds, service centers and businesses along the way. I cannot recall ever seeing such an astonishingly unnecessary escalation of a simple situation. Love's Greenup does not need to worry about enforcing its trespass order. We have absolutely no intention of returning. In fact, after this experience, we have no intention of spending another dollar at ANY Love's location. There are plenty of other truck stops in America happy to have our business. So much for Loves motto of 'Friendly Faces'.

I needed to stop to get gas and use the bathroom. I saw this area had other businesses nearby so I…read moreknew there would be people around and bright lights. Fuel Mart was the cheapest gas price in the area ($2.66), plus it had good lighting during nighttime so that helped me convince me. It's a small truck stop as well so there were some semi's in the back and had a shower. The outside area was pretty clean, seldom litter and quite a few garbage cans to throw trash out. After filling up, I used the bathroom and was content to see how clean it was. The store looked recently updated or built so decor and appliances were in a good shape. 4 stalls were clean with seat coverings, a few sinks, and the options to either hand dry or use paper towels. (Although not environmental friendly, paper towels are the best for hand drying second to air drying.) Overall, I felt pretty safe here going at night with many people nearby, bright lights, and clean outside told me this place is kept up. The only opportunity were I wish staff would enforce more customers to wear a mask. Yes, it has been a year since COVID-19 became a global pandemic and there's a vaccine, but there are still people dying from it so just throw it on. I would recommend Fuel Mart to friends and family.

They DO have Andy Capp's Hot Fries, but no Cheddar Fries (they keep me awake better than coffee...what kind of magic is that?). It's kind of the "last stop" along 36 between the larger cities in rural Indiallinois.
