I've completed my 3 day special with iLoveKickboxing! They were running a special for 3 classes and a free pair of pink gloves for breast cancer awareness month! The pink gloves for the good cause is what sold me! Everyone is soooo welcoming. From the moment you step inside, to the classes, and workouts. If you have never done kickboxing no worries. They provide modifications and step by step teaching which is helpful. What I love most about their classes is that you start with a quick warmup, which could range from light jogging, to squats, to burpees (yuck lol). From there you do some stretching to get you loosened up, and then the main event is the boxing and kicking where you can really blow some steam! Lastly you get some partner practice with others in class and more stretching. You get a nice variety which is what I really loved. Only downside is the pricing. They only offer 7 or 12 month memberships. I really liked the environment but I hope they'll consider shorter memberships in the future. They do have class by class pricing though as an option. read more

I paid in advance for a year membership. I explained to them that I had some looming health issues that might not allow me to continue but I really wanted to try since it was such a fun workout. I was assured that if my health wouldn't allow me to continue that they would make it right and give me my money (pro-rated) back. Well, that didn't happen. Local manager stated there were knew owners who didn't allow for refunds, only transfers. I filled out the medical form and emailed it to corporate with no response. Don't pay in full if you sign up for this class if there is any chance you won't be able to finish the year, even if they promise to "Make it right." read more

There is nothing I like about exercise. I don't like to sweat, I don't like to hurt and I don't want to be bored, which is what I think most exercise is. Boring. I signed up for this club through an ad on Facebook with hopes that this would be different and it SO is. The initial warm up had me concerned because it's a lot of floor work with jumping and burpees. There isn't anything about me that resembles fit, I'm very overweight and my knees hurt every time I bend them but the staff was fantastic and came up with alternate warm ups for me. The class is so much fun and for the first time I have found an exercise that I truly enjoy. I've always heard people talk about the mystical "endorphin" high that they get from exercising but this is the first time I've ever experienced. I just can't say enough about the enjoyment that I had working out here. The only down side is that they are WAY out of my price range. They don't have any plans that are less than $125 a month for either membership or for a "punch card" type system. Also, everything has to be used within one year or they expire. Needless to say after my five classes that I paid for with my Facebook promotion I will be unable to continue working out at this studio, which is disappointing to say the least. read more

I was looking to start something new to whip me back into shape. I ended up finding iLoveKickboxing & giving the trial deal a shot. For $10, it was worth giving a try. I was immediately impressed & enjoyed the class. I immediately joined after the second class I scheduled & attended. Unfortunately, after my next class, I started having issues with my lower back. I aggravated an ongoing lower back issue I've had for years & found it to be a spinal problem. Long story short, I had to cancel my membership. Now I had read horror stories about this franchise & cancelling memberships. However, this was not the case for me. I emailed & ended up working with the manager (Sue) to cancel. She did not make it difficult & did provide me a medical cancellation form. I was unable to complete with my doctor due to there being an issue with it being "non-insurance" related so I would have to wait weeks for an additional appointment. I spoke with Sue & she allowed me the option to cancel but would be charged a cancellation fee. I considered the fee to be fair. I was already terribly stressed out from everything but Sue did make the cancelling pretty simple. She was even kind enough to tell me to let her know when I would be able to return & she could possibly credit the $195 toward restarting. Although I wasn't able to stay long term, I had a great experience with this studio. Very little stress, excellent service & friendly staff! Highly recommend & will return once I'm 100%! read more

I have expressed my concerns multiple times... I have given the office time to correct the situation. I am sad to write this review. My wife and I signed up in Glendale AZ, told the manager that we would be moving to CO... She said no big deal, the membership will transfer. We were ecstatic, we signed up and paid. We enjoyed using the Glendale facility for a short time before our move. After the move, the CO location told us that the manager gave us false information and to contact them for a refund. I have called multiple times being told that the manager will get back to us. When the email was sent to my wife saying "We miss you", I responded and finally got a response from the manager, "Let me check with the owners and get back to you.." Still nothing. Sad to say, be weary about signing a contract here... read more

The kickboxing part of the class is fun. The initial warm up, however, is itself quite a workout and left me too exhausted to do the kickboxing. The instructors were very encouraging and non judgmental. The problem is with customer service. I had decided not to renew after my 6 week trial and e-mailed and messaged multiple people at ILKB that I was not going to continue and asked when my 6 weeks was done. I did not receive any responses. I then saw the renewal charge on my credit card. They said that since I did not give them two weeks' notice, they were going to charge me. I don't believe they ever gave me a copy of the contract I signed so I asked for it. They told me to e-mail one address to cancel but the contract says to send it certified mail to the local gym. So I'm doing both to avoid being told I cancelled wrong. However, the e-mail I was given to cancel bounced back because, "because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail." read more

I purchases a Groupon which included free gloves, 4 kickboxing classes, and 1 personal training session. I was excited to try it out. So I called to set up my first session and was told that "our studio policy limits you to the orientation class". What a free orientation class is what I get for $40??? I explained about the Groupon and was told pretty much tough luck but they'll give me a refund on that towards a package I can purchase when I go in to their studio. That is absurd. I tried contacting them through Facebook and was told "corporate controls what is on the Groupon and the fine print". They were sorry but I could certainly purchase one of their packages. I said the Groupon is good at your location so how can you sell something that says 4 classes plus personal training session, and I was told I was welcome to come 5 times to orientation. What a complete rip off! No, I think not! That is stupid and a waste of time, money and a drive over there. I will look for another place. Funny how when I went to do a Yelp Review that same deal popped up as an ad. Nope, it's bait and switch! I reported it to Groupon and got a full refund and will steer clear of this place! read more

This place is a scam..customer service sucks..rude, negative employees like Sue! Make sure u read all the fine print as she told me. They rushed me into signing up fully well knowing I only wanted to try the 6 week kickstart program for $197. I thought it would be fun new way to work out. I told them when I signed up I would not continue because of the $145 monthly fee. When I called to cancel 2 weeks prior to the end of the 6 weeks and Sue tells me that I have to cancel 30 days prior. Yet the contract stated cancel 14days before end of kickstart program and its month to month cancellation option for monthly membership. I explained I only wanted to try this for fun for 6 weeks and talked w 2 employees at the time and you mean to tell me know one thought they should mention this.. So as Sue said and I agree..I should have read the contract more in depth..and that's a you problem..and I can email ilkbvegasmemberships@gmail.com, no phone number and you have to work that out we have nothing to do with cancellation..I should have known the way I signed up for this crap so swiftly on the info that its $197 for 6 weeks and you can cancel any time was a dang scam..so disappointing and the workouts are just alright nothing to brag about..they didn't send me the meal plan till I asked for it 2 weeks after not receiving it..plus all that support they speak of is a lie..not one person has reached out to me..Choose better I'm just saying this is not the headache you need when you working on your health. read more

Can't express how unprofessional this all has been. Starting with my orientation, was told oh we don't take before pictures that's not our responsibility it's yours. Then didn't know which first to follow just was told to do it by my weight? Do what exactly?? By this time I'm already putting in my cancellation notice and even sending certified emails and letters and no response. I canceled within the 6 weeks as it says under and on my contract within 14 days of being done with kickstart program. I did this too and another employee says oh looks like you are a day late, we don't handle refunds or cancellations in our office you gotta contact the membership department, no phone number or emails returned but an email saying oh we miss you. BUYER BEWARE!!! Great classes and trainers. It's too bad the management is not understanding. I was in a bad car accident and provided the ILKB gym manager notice of needing to cancel my membership due to a few different injuries. I had emailed Sue, the manager, my situation and all she seemed to care about was the $195 cancelation fee. I provided her with TWO doctors notes stating that I cannot kick box. But both of my doctors notes were not good enough because this gym wants me to be injured for six months in order for me to cancel without being charged. Not right! I wish they could've been more helpful and understanding to my situation. I'm not impressed. It's ridiculous to me that someone has to be injured for 6 months in order to cancel their membership. So if I am injured for 3 months, you're still going to charge me for the months I cannot workout? That's not right. They also need a 30 day notice if you want to cancel which, again, is ridiculous because I could not have predicted I was going to be in an accident. I wished to return after I healed from a very serious accident but after my experience with Sue I will not be returning and I cannot recommend this gym. read more

I was looking for a class that would kick my butt, let me get some aggression out and get me in shape and ILKB does all and more. I actually heard about their company on social media, and then a few short months later I was stoked to find out from a friend about the Glendale location opening. I'm just really thankful I decided to take a chance on the trial classes because I was hooked after the first class! They offer a challenging, fun workout but still allow everyone to go at their own pace. Every class has the same structure, but you never get the same workout, which is amazing! I've been a member at ILKB Glendale since they opened (October 2016) and I can say without a doubt this is the first "gym" I have ever joined that the trainers keep me motivated daily, the workout is intense but fun every single time, and I never feel like I haven't burned a ton of calories after every single one. The studio is always clean, the ladies' room is well stocked with anything we could ever need, and all of the trainers are very energetic and seem to care about all of the members. This place is the best workout I've ever had!!! I've always wanted to try kickboxing but was not confident in my ability to keep up with the workout. One class was all it took to get me hooked!! What's great about this place is that you can go at your own pace. The trainers will show you modified versions of the workouts. Also the staff is so friendly and kind. I love ILKB-Glendale! I've been to different gyms and have tried different at home workouts. ILKB-Glendale was the first place I really enjoyed going to, wanted to go again, and felt like I had a good workout done. The trainers are a great mix between supports and encouragers. They will tailor the workout to meet you where you're at, all the while pushing you to try and take it a little further. They are laid back "normal" people. Only 2 classes down but I absolutely love it and hate it at the same time. I only hate it because they kick my ass, yet I love it because they kick my ass lol. I'm sore in all the right places. Trust me it is a full body work out. I've always wanted to learn kickboxing. I got my wish and I'm addicted. I was nervous my first class but the instructors make you feel so welcome. They are so encouraging and motivate you to do your best. I'm a complete beginner and love learning something new each time. First class was way different than my second class. So they change it up which is awesome. This is coming from someone who just had back surgery Dec 14th 2016 and again Feb 9 2017. I have chronic pain issue's. I tell ya in just 2 classes I feel good. I'm sore but I feel good. I'm hoping to bump up my work out to 3 or 4 times a week. I love it here and they are stuck with the two Kym's lol. This place is a great place until you have to cancel your membership! The manger who is Sue ( I believe she is the owner and does not want anyone to know). She told me the only thing that is required to canceled is a 30 day notice. So I sent her a email on Sept. 6, 2019 canceling. She went back and forth with me about putting it on hold and sorry to hear that. I finally said I could not do that, put it on hold I had to cancel. She said I had to contact a third party she did not have the power to cancel. I find this hard to believe since these franchises are individually owned and operated. So, if you sign up be carefully!! Don't give them a credit card pay cash weekly!! This way you can walk!! I believe she did the email back and forth game so it would go into another months worth of charges!!
