Machines stay broken for weeks for seemingly very simple fixes. Other than that, it's a great crowd and I enjoy working out here but it'd be nice to catch up with the other locations. Mountainside seems to prioritize the East valley locations. We pay just as much here on this side though so come on MSF how about a remodel of this tire old workhorse.

I signed up for a free class and somehow the dates got mixed up and I showed up 30 minutes early as instructed, but found out I was signed up for the following week. At first it seemed like a big deal that I was there on the "wrong" day, not fault but whoever scheduled me. Thankfully the class wasn't full so I was able to take the class. Coach Tanner was helpful and got me hooked up with a heart rate monitor and the class was great! Tanner is a helpful coach and extremely motivating but the studio manager, Ryan, is not so great. The second I said I had to think about the price of signing up he completely wrote me off. Then come the following week, I get a charge for a class. I called and left a message about the charge since the studio was closed at the time. Ryan gave me a call back and was immediately confrontational. He said I was charged because "I had reserved a class, equipment and somebody's time and didn't show up, therefore I was charged a "no show" fee". I explained to him that I in fact already took my first class (attached a photo of my summary) because there was a mix up with scheduling. He claimed nowhere in the system did it show I took my initial class. So apparently they never moved me over from the other class. He didn't remember the incident at all and kept asking me questions about how I signed up for my class, what time, and so on. He eventually said he would refund my money but never did he apologize for the inconvenience or mix up. It's very unprofessional and disappointing because I really did enjoy the class and was considering signing up. With his attitude I'm sure he couldn't care less about a negative review or a lost sale anyway.

A heads-up for anyone considering the new EOS Fitness on Cactus Rd in Surprise…read more This location took about five months to open after the "coming soon" signs went up. I waited patiently rather than joining elsewhere. It finally opened May 15 -- and the way it's being run since has been disappointing. My biggest concern is sanitation. I use the cold plunge and sauna twice a day. The cold plunge water level has been low, and the hot tub has what looks like black mold built up along the sides. I told a staff member walking the area. The next day I took photos and showed them at the front desk -- I was told the hot tub was "waiting on a part" and that a supervisor would be called to inspect and clean it. Two days later, nothing has been cleaned or fixed. On top of that, they sold a $10/month towel service and then ran out of towels, telling members it would be restocked "next week." I've tried to be patient and raise these things politely in person. Posting the photos here so the community is aware and so the company actually sees what's happening at this location. I'd genuinely like to see it fixed -- mold in a wet area used by members every day is not something that should sit for days. @EOS Fitness -- please address the hot tub and cold plunge at the Surprise / Cactus Rd location.

I stopped in and met Sara, one of the owners of Green Zone and learned more about their business. I contemplated trying to get into a class right then and there but it would have been rushed, so instead I signed up for their Saturday 8:30 class. First class is free for AZ residents, so that was a no brainer. The class was awesome... I did get a full body workout in 30 minutes and it flew by! Sara and her husband Ryan were super friendly and also hands-on throughout the class to make sure everyone had proper form. They limit the classes to 10 people, which is nice too... and they keep the facility super clean. I'm so glad I found this fabulous business... If I lived in the area, I'd definitely consider a membership as members not only take classes but get 24/7 access to the gym. Since I'm further away, I'll make it a point to do drop-ins when the opportunity arises, ie: for future tournaments! Thanks again, Sara and Ryan!

Stacy Rae is extremely knowledgeable and can adapt any exercise to accommodate your personal weakness(es). Her full-body workouts are well-balanced to include strength training, cardio, and flexibility. After one year, my injuries are no longer bothersome and my body doesn't act/feel "old" anymore. I have also noticed benefits in my hobby sport - horseback riding - to the point where I see improved balance, leg strength (controlled movements), and a better seat.
