The quality of work done at Image Tailor is second to none. Seriously. I brought in an old Agnes B sportcoat that I've had since college that has sentimental value to get the lining replaced. After a couple weeks, Elena made this thing look brand new. She kept all the labels intact, and really you wouldn't know this jacket had its lining completely replaced. You'd be more likely to assume I just bought the jacket. That being said, you pay for what you get, and in this case, replacing lining on a sportcoat cost me $150. I mean, for that price I could've easily bought a brand new sportcoat. If I hadn't been so sentimentally attached, I would've probably trashed the jacket once I got a quote, but alas, I love this jacket. If you have sentimental or high value items (Stephen's Isaia jacket sounds like it fits the bill, pun intended), I would highly recommend Image Tailor for any work you need done. It will look flawless. Just be ready to pay. The pricing makes it really hard for me to give it 5 stars. But maybe one day, when it saves another sentimental article of clothing, I just might. Elena is awesome. I ordered a dress online about 30 pounds ago. To be honest, the top didn't fit quite right when I bought it, but it definitely didn't fit after losing 30 pounds. I've driven by Image Tailor for....forever. I'd never thought to look up reviews until I needed to get that dress fixed. And it was an important dress as I was planning on wearing it at my wedding reception (I wound up going with a different, custom dress, but that certainly had nothing to do with the tailoring work- it still looks exceptional!). I went in, put the dress on, and Elena went right to work pinning. To ensure the top fit and not just fixed well enough to keep me from flashing everybody, she did more than just see the front up. She took the sleeves off, fixed the shoulders, reattached the sleeves, reattached the bra strap snaps, and it fits like a dream. Seriously, it looks like it was made for me-- and it kind of was, really. The turnaround time was much faster than I expected (one week! It took twice as long for an even simpler alteration at a different place). I will absolutely trust Elena with many other articles of clothing (btw, losing 30 pounds can totally make your pants fall off in the grocery store- just sayin'). When I was studying at UTD, Image Tailor was just close by. I took a few articles of clothing to Elena before and they came out amazing! I was living on a student budget and I was slightly taken away by the price I was charged during my first visit. Even though my wallet was not too happy, that button up shirt fitted to perfection! The once baggy button up shirt that were billowing in the arms and waist now fit my skinny frame perfectly. Ever since that first visit, I kept on coming back. I brought in several pieces of outwear and they fit me very well. Elena is not only a genuinely nice person who listens to your tailoring needs, she is also extremely talented. This woman is very skilled in her craft and her prices are a bargain for what you are getting. I highly recommend coming to her for those special pieces you want to perfect. If you want something very basic to be altered, you can go to a more affordable tailor to save money if you like. Just be warned that you will get spoiled by the tailoring this woman produces! Elena is amazing! My husband took some shirts to be altered and they all turned out perfectly. These shirts had vents in them and she even made sure to alter them. We will not use another tailor ever again. I'm so glad we stumbled upon her. We drop off on a Saturday and pick up the following one. She is phenomenal. If you ask around, lots of people will say they know "the best tailor", but if they don't know Elena, they are misinformed, ignorant or lying. This beautiful lady is the only person I will work with, and here's the simple reason why: her skill and services are unmatched. Elena started making clothes when she was a young girl, and she proudly displays some of her handiwork in this tiny little well-kept shop. How do I know that she's the best? Well, I bought a Isaia cashmere velvet jacket, and I put on some weight in my shoulders that necessitated a 1/2 inch alteration to let it out. No one, and I mean NO ONE would touch it! The tailors at Neiman Marcus (where I bought it), Stanley Korshak, every shop in Highland Park kept telling me "No", "no", "impossible", "can't be done", "the fabric cannot take the stress...yada yada". I finally lucked into finding Elena, and she said "Certainly I can do this, come back in a week and it will be ready." Ever since, Elena has become the Savior of many of my garments...my own Personal Jesus Christ, Seamstress, Messiah-ette of my wardrobe. She worked on my sister's wedding dress, my wife's wedding dress, and I don't know how many of my suits and slacks. Elena is supremely confident, and her work is the best I've ever seen. She can take a badly-fitting pair of jeans and make them into a work of art. She can rip a crappy lining out of a jacket and put something really creative and unique in it's place. She can put working button holes into the sleeves of your jackets and make a $400 suit look like a $2,000 suit. Be forewarned, she is not inexpensive, and deservedly so. But, I find her skill unmatched and a bargain at twice the price if she charged it. I refuse to use anyone else even if a suit comes with free alterations. So, if you have anything really valuable or sentimental, you can take it to a chop shop and maybe get it back in one piece...OR you can give it new life at the Image Tailor. read more

The ladies in this shop are wonderful! The work and craftsmanship are superb. I brought in 3 dresses one casual dress and 2 more formal dresses, one of which was my wedding dress. The bodice of my wedding dress is heavily pleated and it had to be taked in quite a bit. The dress was perfect! You cant even tell it was altered. The ladies were so nice...and the price WOW! Great communication too about pick up or whether or not they need more time to get the job done right. Does do both men and women's clothing. Cash only so just be be prepared when you pay. Honestly, never coming to this place ever again!!! After coming here once to tailor my designer jeans selvedge denim which they did a good job, I thought that bringing back two more of the same pairs would be a good idea. Just when I thought I had found my go to tailor, I was completely wrong, I should have never came back. They complete destroyed a pair of jean by cutting the selvedge from the denim and taking the easy way out and tailoring only the outside. Since I had came here once before, I didn't bother to check how they were tailored. After realizing what monstrosity they had done, I went back to explain what they did to my jeans and they acted like if nothing was wrong. Instead of trying to fix their mistake, they blamed me and acted like I was in the wrong for something THEY did. Overall, not only did they cut the selvedge off, they didn't even properly fit how I had asked them to tailor it. Now, not only did I completely loose the money from the from the RIDICULOUS prices they charge, I'm also now stuck with jeans that are not wearable due to their them being improperly tailored. Stay away from this place at all cost!!! read more

Truly the best tailor I've been to and the ONLY tailor I trust with my designer clothing. Elena is incredibly talented and informative. She is not the least expensive, but you do get what you pay for. I made the mistake of taking a pair of 7FAM jeans to get altered at a tailor I just "saw" on the way to work and they not only ended up too short, the tailor cut the material when I asked them not to! Elena offers advice and it is only based on need....she does not try to up-sale you on her services (though she could if she wanted!) and, in fact, has advised me against repairs I thought I needed and towards alterations I didn't know I needed (she has a fantastic eye!). My first experience with her was taking a pair of J. Brand jeans in that had a poorly repaired tear....when I picked them up, not only was the tear fixed, but I could not even tell where she fixed it until she turned the jeans inside out to show me (it was just outside the seam). I came across her shop with high accolades on Angie's List and am very thankful as I will never go to another tailor. She's honest and she does fantastic work! read more

Elena is AMAZING! I can not speak highly enough about her. I had taken several items there for my wedding rehearsal dress and she had done a wonderful job with them and therefore recommend my mom take her mother of the bride dress to her. And let me tell you, it was not a regular mother of the bride dress. It was very extravagant and made out of one panel of mesh with lots of detail. Elena spent so many hours trying to figure out how to make the dress looked perfect and let me tell you, she did just that! It was stunning!!!
