Incredible experience! I was looking for a tailor, and I found Eliot's due to proximity. I am so happy I did! I learned that the current owner bought the company a couple years ago, and she's incredibly experienced. I took a variety of items that I needed altered (hemmed and taken in). Holy cow the results were amazing! Now, I have a whole box of things for my next round. It's made me completely reanalyze my wardrobe since I know I can get things tailored to fit me better now. One of the best items was a Reformation linen-esque black set that was an XL (pants and bottoms). I'm a medium, she took measurements, tailored them to fit me perfectly. Took some jeans that were way too long and distressed at the hem. I wanted to keep the distressed look and shorten the jean. The owner was very polite and fast. I have been taking my clothes to Maria for 5 years. She doesn't just do hems and repairs, she adjusts my clothes to create new and unique pieces. My clothes have always been ready on time and I've always been very pleased with the quality of her work. I began using her when I lived in the area, now that I moved, I drive 45 minutes to see her. I can't say enough about Gulten and her shop! I bought a dress months ago for a wedding I am in and it fit but barely. Like an idiot I waited to put it back on again until the day before the wedding and, again, it fit but only after 15 min of struggling, red marks on my fingers from tugging at the zipper, and it just looks bad. I called Elliot's Tailor Shop and was able to bring the dress in at 2PM and picked it back up at 6PM! It fits like a glove. Not only that but she wasn't sure if there would be enough fabric because of the way they cut the material when they made it but she said she would do her best. Yall when I tell you this dress is just perfect, you'd never know it's been altered.... And it only cost $32. Gulten absolutely AMAZING. read more

It's fine. It's inexpensive. The woman I dealt with was not rude in any way. I dropped my garment on Saturday a fit was ready as promised the following Tuesday. I have no complaints about the actual work. I would trust them with my business in the future. I am not sure what more you could want from a tailor. read more

If you are reading these reviews please keep in mind that the new owner bought this shop in August 2023. So any reviews prior to this were of previous owner. This current owner was so nice and professional. I attempted to hem my daughter's graduation dress and completely botched it. Luckily I only did the innermost layer so I brought it in for a professional to finish the job. She not only altered the outer 2 layers perfectly but also fixed the innermost layer that I completely butchered. I know it was not easy to fix the layer that I butchered but she did not add more charges and did it with a smile. We have more items for her to alter and at this point, we are her loyal fans. I highly recommend this shop and owner. In fact, I am skeptical with tailor shop which was part of the reason why I attempted to do my own in the first place but I will 100% recommend this shop for everyone. i've been going here off and on for the past few years. i've gotten dresses and jeans hemmed here. the woman here does a very good job but i feel i have to say that the prices have gone up. a few years ago it was $7 for jeans to get hemmed. now, its $14. thats kind of high if you need everything hemmed - like i do. also, i kind of think its weird that it's a tailor shop but inside they have a glass case and some shelves that are full of natural vitamins and the such. it's just a weird combination. i'm just putting that out there... read more

I dropped off a pair of jeans to be hemmed on a Tuesday, with the pick up day being a Friday. I went to pick them up on Saturday morning (the day after they were supposed to be ready), and the woman told me that they weren't ready yet and to come back in two hours. She seemed very irritated with me, which was pretty ridiculous considering they should have been available the prior day. When I returned in two hours, they were ready, but she also seemed to price them based on what she thought I'd be willing to pay ($11). I didn't like that at all. And because I paid with cash, she said I didn't have to pay tax. The whole experience was shady on many levels. read more

I can't speak for the quality of the tailoring since I didn't even get that far. I went into the shop to have a pair of jeans hemmed. The worker was currently assisting a sweet elderly lady who was standing on a podium having her brim skirt measured. The phone rang, the worker left the lady on the podium and took the phone call. It was a personal phone call and she chatted for about 10 minutes while leaving the lady turning into a statue and myself rooting in the chair. After much laughter on her phone call , she heads back to assist the standing lady. She measured for about a minute and then two women came in. She left the lady, ignored me and then proceeded to work with the women for about 10 minutes (that I knew). I left after being ignored for 20 minutes, all the while letting the worker know of my presence by following her around the tiny shop with many fertive glances. I presume the lady on the podium must pay attention to Sally Field and been taking her Boniva as it didn't appear that osteoporosis had set in, given her ability to perch atop a podium for a long amount of time. Skip this place since the customer service can only be described as rock bottom. read more

Went in to have 3 pairs of pants hemmed and owner told me 15 per pair of pants. Went in and got 1 pair of pants early and paid 43.00 figuring that was the cost for all 3 pairs of pants . went in again and only one was ready and she the other one would be ready tomorrow so I would pick up the pants and lady wanted to charge me another 75.00 dollars for a total of 118.00 dollars to hem 3 pairs a pants. So had to call police to resolve the matter so in the end I paid 43.00 for 2 pairs of pants hemmed.. BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER.. DONT EVER GO TO THIS SHOP... THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF... read more
