I don't know why ImageCare of Middletown has such a low rating. I had an appointment on April 10 for an MRI on my shoulder and all the staff members were very helpful, courtesy and professional. Immediately after coming into the facility I was waited on by a very pleasant African American young lady. I'm upset with myself for leaving without acquiring the names of all the staff that waited on me. Also a pretty young lady with a nose ring was very nice and very professional waited on me at the front desk. Igor I believe that was his name escorted me to the MRI room and started my MRI. Igor was also very polite and professional and provided excellent service. The facility was very clean with adequate seating in the waiting area. I suggest putting out a few magazines for the few people like me that would rather read than be one the cell phone. All in all ImageCare of Middletown is A plus across the board and I would highly recommend. Thank you very much for your help guys! read more

Ive had multiple X-Rays and MRIs performed here over the past couple years. I've found it easy to schedule appointments. The staff upfront has been friendly and professional and very responsive to quickly email me copies of written reports when they become available. The tech staff for both X-Rays and MRIs has also been caring and excellent. read more

Went there once in July. Went again recently for another MRI. The front desk staff is pretty bad. I was given a copy of my scan but was told the radiologist report would take a few days. I've been trying to get copies and left multiple messages with no return call. I finally reached a live person when I chose a different phone option. I was told I have to fill out a release to get my records via email. I have been waiting several days and still have not received them. I have now been trying to call and speak to someone. I keep getting put in hold for and nobody picks up. Poor, poor service!! read more

I recently had an MRI taken there. In the beginning, the tech was helpful, but while in the machine, not once did anyone ever ask if I was okay, as they've done at other facilities that I've been too. Towards the end, when the "clicking" and music stopped, I could hear a bunch of people laughing. I waited and waited, then finally pushed the buzzer as it appeared they had forgotten about me. Needless to say, it wasn't a great experience and will go elsewhere in the future. read more

Go elsewhere. System flawed. Made numerous phone calls to make sure my appointment was set and that all the required paperwork was received. Told by facility all was good. In fact spoke with facility the day before and gave them my insurance ID number. Outcome: left without my scan which is going to set me back six weeks with my doctor. I've managed numerous health care groups and facilities in my 35 years of practice and I can tell you that this Imaging Center should be avoided. They're are OTHER fish in the sea. Had to have an X-ray and ultra sound of my leg. Waited about 15 mins past my appointment time in a almost empty waiting room. It's very nice and comfortable though. Clean. Upon entering the ultra sound room I was given a gown and shown the attached bathroom to change. Ultra sound technician, Aston, was very professional and friendly. Made me feel relaxed and comfortable. The X-ray was next. Was left to fully change in the X-ray room which was a bit daunting cause it was just the main room door separating me from whoever walked in. However the tech did knock first before entering. Just impersonal and I don't think I took my clothes off and covered up so fast!!!! Whole visit was quick and painless. Would go back again if I need imaging. read more

My sister took my mom in for some testing yesterday and was horrified to see that although there is a glass partition up between the receptionists and the waiting area for patients, the glass doors of the partition were wide open to the waiting area, and all the people working on the other side were talking and eating without masks. As my sister was very obviously uncomfortable, it was suggested she wait outside, which is where she found another woman that had just been in the office and was also very uncomfortable with the situation inside. I contacted the manager to discuss and was told if someone comes up to the partition they will put a mask on, and since in his estimation my mom and sister were 12 feet away from the partition, there was no need. Given what we now know about how easily Covid can be contracted in an indoor space if people are unmasked it's a shame that they at very least don't feel it is necessary to simply slide the glass door to the partition shut (such an easy thing to do) so they can continue to talk and eat on the other side of it without putting others at risk. It should be noted that the person that actually performed the test was masked, thank goodness. read more

First started out with the call to schedule. I could barely understand the tech... and when I got here my charts were all filled out wrong. I also never got the confirmation call I was told I would get 3 days prior to my app to confirm my insurance approved my MRI. I called and confirmed day of.... now its 7:00pm.. got here 30 minutes early to fill out forms for my 6:00pm appointment and still waiting. Frustrating dealing with this place. Hope I don't have to come back. However the staff is friendly and the waiting room is nice. read more

Try TRULY open MRI facility in East Brunswick first .I have been both a patient and spouse of a patient here. One tech gave my husband wrong information on a procedure and two other techs could have used much more decorum and calmess in interacting with us. This IS healthcare! I'm writing this on behalf of myself and Barbra Marshal who is the patient and knows how I am insistent on reviews. Yesterday I called requesting an appointment at their earliest convenience. I spoke with the kindest woman named Ronnie and she assisted us immediately and even was able to get us in the same day... however we did choose the next day would be best. When Ms Marshall and I walked in we were very excited with the beautiful calm environment and the overall atmosphere. We were greeted by the staff who only needed our two forms of ID and gave us an IPad to provide a short medical history that was quick and easy. There was a small amount of other patients which furthermore added to the relaxed environment I should add. Once Ms marshal was ready to receive her CT Scan, which she advised me they did all they could to subside her anxiety, she was in the back and out about 20 mins. I am very protective of Ms Marshal and thankful to the staff esp Ronnie and Liza and Rebecca who made her feel comfortable and overall enthusiastic about how wonderful the staff was. The staff can provide you with a copy of the results at your request however due to Ms Marshall fasting for 24 hours we choose not to wait. We are beyond satisfied with our visit and would recommend this practice to anyone. Thank you to the staff and Middletown Imaging from Ms Marshall as well as myself. Thank you! read more

The MRI bed covering is not changed for each patient. The pillow and covering were obviously just used by another patient. Procedure room was dirty and messy. The MRI machine was covered in dust and looked like it had missing parts. Would not recommend this facility. read more

They are all very nice and accommodating But that's it. It is the most disorganized faciliti only went back there to compare from years ago mri They don't get reports out on time. They tell you reports are sent and they are not. They give you discs that can't be read because they have an ancient system that can't be read on windows 10. This place is in the dark ages. My doctor wanted an ultrasound. I drive by this place every day, so I went there. The doctor wanted a CD so I asked for one. They gave me a CD of the test. It was blank. I got a bill for my share. Paid in person and got a receipt. Next month got the same bill. Took my receipt to them and they confirmed their records showed I had paid. Next month got the same bill. Nothing complicated. Simple incompetence. There is another place not far up 35, by Barnes & Noble. Go there or somewhere else. read more

What can I say it was easy to make an appointment here had no luck at the place close to me for an MRI. The paperwork could be printed online . The wait was minimal and the front desk ladies were very pleasant and efficient. The place is extremely clean and well kept . The technician who did My MRI was wonderful and Kind . She explained everything to me in detail and made sure I was comfortable. She even had the disc for me before I even asked . My claim was billed correctly as they have an efficient biller . I will use them again even though it's a 45 minute drive their hours are terrific as well . I will add the results were also read promptly . Kudos to this place read more

Recently went to Middletown Medical Imaging for an MRI on my foot. After waiting 25 minutes I went up to the receptionist and asked them when I would be taken in, so they brought me in. A few days later my doctor called me to let me know that MMI preformed an incomplete MRI and that I would have to go back for another. I showed up again on time and them had to wait another 20 minutes. I was so disgusted that I just walked out. I received a call from MMI about 2 hours later and was asked what happened so I told them I refused to wait any longer and being that I was there again due to their incompetence that I would go elsewhere. My son had a scheduled appointment for this morning at 8am. Drove 45 minutes to get there only to find a dark office and nobody there. Tried for over an hour to call them. Automated outgoing message with no ability to leave a message for them. I know we are experiencing trying times right now but don't make an appointment if you have no intentions of being there. Absolutely horrible. Made a 12:00 noon appointment and get there 10 min early to do paperwork as instructed. Reception (who seemed quite busy with their personal lunch orders from Appleby's) says that my appointment was 10:00 AM and I missed it. There is absolutely no way this is possible as I discussed and wrote down "12:00 noon" when scheduling the appointment. To make matters worse, the receptionist tells me they called yesterday and left a message to confirm the 10:00 (they absolutely did not and actually do have the correct cell phone number). She then goes on to say she personally called my number today - which she ABSOLUTELY DID NOT - to confirm the supposed 10:00 appt. To wrap up the horrible experience, which seems to be common at this place BTW, they made no real effort to find a reschedule date/time that worked for me. I had an MRI of my foot. I was supplied with a disc copy and told they would send a copy and report my orthopedic surgeon. A month later when I saw my orthopedic surgeon, he never received a copy or the report. When he viewed my copy he very politely informed me how poor and awful the disc was and was unable to get any information from the MRI, he was embarrassed as a medical professional to call this an MRI. This place is awful. I arrive early and hope to get out in time to enjoy the day. Not happening. This place has no respect for patient's time. The medical staff chats and is having a grand old time while I wait and wait. Finally, I am seen 90 minutes after my scheduled appointment. To make things worse, my doctor is unhappy with the report and gets a second opinion from another radiologist. This place sucks! read more

Unbelievable! My appointment was for 2:45 - I received a call saying dr had to leave at 2:30 can I come earlier. I said yes. I was asked what time I said I should be there by 1:00pm as I was driving from Staten Island (I have NJ insurance from my job). I got there at 12:55pm. They treated me as a walk in instead of someone who had an appointment. I waited until 2:20pm and still they hadn't taken me in yet. I walked out. I changed my appointments around to for their convenience- I had to get back to Staten Island for my next appointment. What's worse, the dr gave me a sedative to take before the MRI now I don't have anymore and don't think he will give it to me again. Best experience. No one loves going for a MRI, Annie, Rebecca and Liza make it a great experience. They are very comforting and help you relax and make sure you are comfortable. They check in with you to make sure you are ok and let you know you are doing great and how much time you have left. This is my 2nd time going to this facility. I have moved since my first closed MRI, but chose to drive the 40 minutes to Middletown Medical Imaging specifically for this team. Cold, impersonable, dismissive staff. Only seemed to care about themselves and not about the patients. Staff seemed annoyed by me and an older gentlemen who was asking questions. Rushed through questions for me and did not appear to have time to listen to my concerns. The room looked like a storage room where I had the MRI done. I have gone to MMI maybe 7 times and each time was perfect. The people who work at mmi are friendly and professional. If you need to drink the barium for contrast... you need to get in 2 hours early... Simple fact. Their open MRI units are nice and they pipe in some nice music. read more

Although the equipment and technician are fine, the new owner has no real knowledge of the business and forces the front desk to schedule every 30 minutes. Pretty difficult for the staff to be on time when each session (without complications) takes approximately 45 minutes. When I arrived I was told it would be at least a 45 minute wait. It was closer to an hour. When I asked why not a phone call to let me know they were that far behind, I got no response. I then asked if I had shown up 45 minutes late, would I have been seen that day and the reply was "no!" I have no patience for businesses who don't consider that the client's time is money too! Had a 6pm appointment for 2 MRI exams. I sat there and waited for over an hour before they started the exam. It took over an hour for the 2 exams which I was told would only take 20 minutes each. They wasted my time without even offering an apology. I would give them 0 Stars but Yelp does not allow that. I will never go there again. read more
