My hair and makeup person was Melissa, and she was great. In our initial meeting in February 2024, she went over what's included with me, and pricing. She was very welcoming and the salon is a very cute place, as well. In July 2024, I stopped by for my hair and makeup trial; overall I liked Melissa's work, but my face was a little more rouged than I would like, so I told her that and she made the adjustment on Sept. 15 on my wedding day. For my wedding day, myself, my three bridesmaids, and my MIL and SIL all got services done at GoldiLoxx - most of us got hair done, but two of my bridesmaids also got their makeup done. The only reason I'd give GoldiLoxx 4 stars instead of 5 is that my hair didn't hold up for a while - there are a few caveats to that though, being: 1. We took our wedding photos before the ceremony, so it had to last from about 9am or 10am until 4:30pm when the ceremony started and 2. It was a high of 85 degrees that day (unusual, in September! Ironically my husband and I had picked Sept. for its nice and temperate weather ...) so that probably also didn't help. My bridesmaids and a few of my husband's cousins had to help curl my hair again right before the ceremony, because of this. Overall, however, I'd highly recommend GoldiLoxx for any hair/makeup needs, especially for a wedding. Something else I forgot to mention: if you want to rent the place out, on a Saturday for a wedding, there's a $500 fee, but because my wedding was on a Sunday, when they are normally closed, they opened the salon up for me and there was NO charge, which was really nice of them.

I try to stay neutral about most first experiences but sadly this went downhill quickly. I did everything in my power to help out my stylist by bringing in photos, telling them how my hair behaves, what products I use, and how low maintenance my routine is. I don't know if it was a new style for them or if they were nervous but I walked out with a style I told them repeatedly I didn't want. It didn't help that one side of my hair had one blunt layer and the other side had hardly any layers when they finished. It was made worse by the lack of professionalism in the shop. I felt like I had just walked into a basement hangout. I sadly got home and sobbed because I knew it would take months for my hair to grow out enough to be fixed. All this being said. I had booked a French pedicure with Summer and instead today I received pink, thick and messy paint on my toes( see photo). She was unable to properly cut my toe nails or remove cuticle ("we don't do that here"), and didn't remove dead skin from feet and left the end of the large toenails rough. She also didn't know how to put white on tips (which would never have worked over the thick paint anyway). It took 40 minutes including some soaking time at the beginning. Cost was $35 without a tip. Entire waste of my time. Now, I have to go get another pedicure elsewhere today. People were nice... just not qualified for doing pedicures. Please stick to hair services or learn proper pedicure processes.

I brought my 2.5 year old in a few weeks ago and it was a horrible experience for both of us. Maybe our stylist was having a bad day, but even if she was, she took it out on a 2.5 year old. We came in and she showed us the seat. She wanted him to sit alone but he asked if he could sit in my lap. This was the first thing that seemed to annoy her. From there, it just got worse. She made zero attempt to build any rapport or talk to him. She didn't consult me at all about what type of haircut we wanted. him. He was pretty squirmy and she just started to give him a buzz with clippers. I said, "woah, that's pretty short" (though the damage has already been done a few seconds in) and she said "there's no way I'm using scissors on this kid" If she would have said, "look I'm only going to use clippers" I would have respected that and tried to find a new place. He screamed much of the time and she didn't relent. No breaks, no "are you okay" nothing. I tried to calm him down and pacify him, but agin, he's 2.5 years old. Once kids that age are in a tough spot emotionally it takes a while to calm them down. By the end he was crying. He had hair in his mouth, in his eyes and she was the furthest thing from sympathetic. It was truly and awful experience. I will never return. Not as an adult and certainly not with kids. Maybe other staff is better with kids but all it takes is one bad experience. And this was terrible.

I have been to a number of high end salons and low end barbershops in the area and always left missing something. Either the top was spot on but the fade sucked or the fade was perfect and the top was an absolute hack job. This year I started getting my hair cut and styled by Caleb at Covenant. Caleb is able to do the perfect mix of a stellar fade and top styling. He is patient, respectful and listens really well. The salon is in a great location and is really nice inside. Everyone I have met that works there is friendly and it seems like they all get along well. I highly recommend Caleb and Covenant in general.
