I've wanted to check out this shop for many years and wasn't disappointed. They have lots of beautiful yarn in many different fibers, weight, and colors. You can even pick out specific natural colors to dye it. They also offer fabric, books, bags, and tons of cute accessories for knitting and sewing. They were prepared for the crowds-- there were many friendly staff members on the floor offering assistance. One person had made stitch markers with the evil eye symbol and was handing them out. Today I felt I'd go back and check out what they could offer for a burgeoning beginner/intermediate like me. The owner Marsha greeted me when I came in and was so helpful with all my questions (and I had a lot of questions!) she was very patient and kind. She helped me find a nice cotton yarn that wasn't too expensive since it's my first time doing a project like this one, and gave me some good tips on working with this kind of yarn. So also told me I can always come and sit at the large table with a project and sit and work on a project if I want too and time. So yes, this yarn may be a bit more expensive that you are used too if it's your first time at a proper Yarn shop, but these yarns are lovely and the qualities are beautiful. It turns out those were reviews of the store's previous owner. Lisa has owned the shop for about a year and a half, so the bad reviews aren't a reflection on her sunny, totally comfortable approach to customers--both buyers and sellers.
