    My 78 year-old mother had an appointment scheduled here for an MRI and received multiple confirmation calls beforehand. On the day of the appointment, they even called again to verify details like metal items and confirm she was coming in. When we arrived and began filling out paperwork, we were suddenly told there was no authorization on file and that her appointment had to be rescheduled. My mother is in severe pain and it is very difficult for her to get around. Arranging transportation and bringing her in was not easy. The authorization should have been verified before confirming the appointment several times and asking an elderly patient to come in. This situation caused unnecessary stress and hardship for my mother. I hope the office reviews its scheduling and authorization process so other patients especially elderly patients in pain do not have to go through the same experience.

    It is located next to CVS. Entrance at Parish Pl. The Service: Two staffs at the counter doing check-in. Now you may even fill out the check-in forms online in advance. Very convenient. They offer online appointment or walk-in. The Parking: Private parking lot and street parking (free).

    Giving one star because there isn't an option for less. Setting up for MRI: Against my elderly mother's clear requests not to poke her arm, the unempathic technician poked her SEVEN times (arm and hand). This tech was not only unqualified in phlebotomy, but he was super rude. Elder abuse!! Stay away. Shame on you, Radnet!

    Checked in for my Brother who is disable and had the worst customer service.

Since I'm not familiar with this kind of thing, this was supposed to be a scan 'with contrast dye' which meant I was supposed to have some sort of 'ink' injected to the reading would be more clear. Well, I went to lay down in the donut-shaped machine, and no injection was ever given, so I had no idea what was really going on. The tech quite frankly could have been friendlier or just friendly in general (South Asian male). The automated voice that directed me was more helpful than he was. The one standout was the receptionist by the name of London; she answered my questions best that she could and was all-around pleasant. When I inquired about why there was no 'contrast dye', she said my doctor forgot to send me for blood work, so therefore, no dye. Obviously, this is not something I would know about but results came back fine. Unfortunately, as health care rates can be a surprise in this country, I also was hit with an EOB of $700+. If I had to return, I would be happy to see London, but would ask if I could somehow get another tech since this one I had could use some improvement.

    GREAT PLACE TO GET MAMMOS, BUT REALLY CHECK YOUR BILLS…read more===================================================== GOOD: I've been going there since 2009 for annual or sometimes semi-annual mammograms and all the technicians are great. I used to specifically request Amy Martin after asking for the best back in 2009, but they are all outstanding. Back in 2008 I had a mammogram at Verdugo Hills Hospital's Breast Center that was fine, but I thought I felt something about five months later. I went back in and sure enough they spotted something. It wasn't the same thing, but it was on the same side and it was a very fast growing tumor. I felt like they must have missed something since they didn't see it five months before, so I found a breast surgeon by Providence in Burbank and started going to the Breast Health Center after that. I would rate them five stars except for the billing practices of the radiology company listed below. BAD: Really stay on top of your bills for this facility. Golden State Imaging bills for the radiology portion and this company continually billed me twice for the exact same thing. My insurance denied the duplicate billing, but Golden State Imaging continued sending me bills for duplicate service. I ended up spending hours talking to the incompetent staff in their billing department as well as providing proof of payment multiple times. These shady people ended up sending me to collection. Finally after sending proof of payment to the collection company twice and talking to the manager of the Breast Health Center they finally reversed their duplicate billing. I am sure some people get totally exhausted from dealing with these shady companies and they just pay it, but I refused. I really feel sorry for anyone without insurance when they have to deal with a company like Golden State Imaging. Hopefully Providence St. Joseph will look into Golden State Imaging that is double billing and figure out what is going on before they start losing patients. TIPS: 1. If you have insurance that covers a service you are getting tell the people at check-in for the mammo or other service that want to to wait until your insurance company processes the Explanation of Benefits and then you will pay the remainder. The reason being is this is that it's really hard getting a refund if you overpay for something. They will usually go along with this. 2. Try to make an appointment three to six months in advance and ask for the earliest appointment of the day which is 8:00 a.m.. They are really busy and if you get in there for the first appointment slot you will spend less time there. They have a tendency to get backed up or they will fit in emergency appointments. If you get there early you can park on the street and not have to pay for their expensive parking garage too.

They take care of you while getting your MRI and throughout the process check to make sure you're ok and how much time left. They have brand new machines and the one I was in today was open MRI. Either one is fine with me though. But if you want a better experience and if your claustrophobic, I recommend coming here for that as well. They have a decent size lobby that you can wait in. Also, the check- in is fast, and I love how it's free parking in the lot they have. I will come here again if I need another MRI! Good location too! -Marshay D.

X-rays are on walk-in basis only while MRIs require an appointment to be made. Both times, I did not have to wait too long. You check-in at the window, they ask you to have a seat, you fill out some paperwork, they copy your ID and insurance info. Then, you go into a separate waiting area inside a hallway past the initial waiting room before you are seen. The front office staff was always friendly the times I went. The imaging staff inside was very informative and also nice. I had never had an x-ray or MRI before so I appreciated the step by step explanations on both my visits. I was told what to expect, how long each scan would take and what to expect time-frame wise once the scans are done & results sent to my doctor. Free parking in their private lot... The only thing I would say that they need to improve on is that the facility/building is a little dated. It could definitely use a refresh, especially inside. The waiting rooms and restrooms, specifically. Also, there were a lot of discarded coffee and drink cups out front on the benches. It was first thing in the morning so who knows if that was left there overnight but it wasnt the best first impression.
