Negative stars. Don't waste your time. Went for an x-ray, which they told me is a walk-in service only - they do not make appointments. I went three different days, only to be told each time that they were completely booked up. So when I asked how could they be booked up if they don't make appointments, the staff was dismissive, uncaring and rude. read more

"There are 3 patients ahead of you." AGAIN? Look lady, I'm going shopping. I went to neighboring CVS, looked at the critters at Scales & Tails, even succumbed to Donut Prince. I was seen five minutes after this interim jaunt. Exam button at: 3:55 p.m. ONE AND A HALF HOURS AFTER MY APPOINTED TIME. Holy smokes protest being sent here! Check in and get your nails done for Pete's sake. What a bunch of robots with no concept of someone else's time! "Sorry for the inconvenience" (about canceling my plumber-- hello I have a life). My appt was at 8:20am. I arrived on time having filled out all the paperwork beforehand. They asked to collect the copayment of about $500. I triple checked their website before arriving that they accept care credit card. When I gave the receptionist my care credit card she was confused and unable to process my payment. They asked me to pay cash?? who brings $500 cash with them? lol then they asked me to use a different credit card like $500 is nothing. i chose a facility that accepts a medical credit card for a reason. the front staff was nice. the blame should be on the manager Jennifer from burbank advanced imaging center. she set up her kind staff to deal with disgruntled customers who are asked to if only Jennifer can run the care credit payment then it should not be advertised. poor poor planning on Jennifer the manager- the rest of the staff was excellent. the receptionist made it right and reversed the payment on my non medical credit card. read more

This place is the WORST!!! My doctor is constantly faxing them the required paperwork and they NEVER receive it. I could spend all day trying to get paperwork over to them. Of course you can't email anything because they only operate on a fax machine from the 1980's. I will definitely be looking for a better establishment that operates in the 21st Century. read more

Getting an MRI is rarely fun, because it's you lying in the middle tube where noises play, but they did everything in their power to make it a pleasant experience. Same week booking, which is amazing for most healthcare plans, same week results, privacy lockers, this is one of the better places to be put in a metal tube. Booking might be the hardest part but there's never a line and it's in a nice area of town, you could walk over to the comic shop or get some groceries easily. read more

Worst experience ever. The level of incompetence at this facility is baffling. I called to make an appointment on Monday and was confirmed for an appointment on Tuesday that required me to fast for 6 hours. I called the morning of, something to told me to confirm my appt before I underwent a liquid and food fast for 6 hours. The receptionist could not find my appt or paperwork that I faxed over. I asked him to check again and he explained that there were two profiles created for me. He found my appt under one of the profiles. He confirmed my appt and receipt of the documents. After fasting for 5 hours, I received a call that I was double booked and could not be seen. No apology, the uber incompetent receptionist just blamed it on the scheduling dept. Oh, and she couldn't find my paperwork. She then rescheduled me for another appointment the next morning at a different location. Guess what happened, they couldn't find my appt. I was put on a long hold then voila, my appt was found but I'm double-booked again and now there are 3 profiles with my name and no paperwork. I found another imaging specialist with way better reviews and availability. Given the incompetence, I wouldn't trust any diagnostics to come out of this place. read more

So not impressed with this place. I will say that they receptionist were very friendly and accommodating but that was about it. Results were to be read within 48 hours and after 4 days the dr ofc had to call after still no results! We were on a time sensitive matter so we needed them read. Finally got results and went back for second appt only to find out that the machine was broken. Would've been nice to have recd a call letting us know this so we didn't bother to show up. Had to reschedule...hoping next appt is better. read more

I went here to get my wrist x-rayed (turns out I needed a cortisone shot, so the x-ray was unnecessary, but better safe than sorry!). The wait was pretty awful, but honestly, the people were fine, everything went smoothly once I got in, and no issues getting out. Got my cortisone shot with my doctor elsewhere, and I'm good to go. ONE YEAR LATER, I get a bill. That right there is just bad in every imaginable way, but whatever. Insurance is stupid, so I wouldn't fault the radiologists' place, right? Well, the bill literally has the following line items and dates: 3/5/2015 Wrist Complete $90.00 6/29/2015 Managed Care non-HMO Contractual Adjustment -$90.00 8/29/2016 Contractual Debit Review $90.00 Are you seeing this?! The wrist x-ray was $90, and just over 3 months later my insurance covered it (that's why there's a minus sign in front of the second line item, I'd think). Then, OVER A YEAR LATER they just decide to charge me $90 anyway?! Maybe there's a reasonable explanation, right? I call up the number on the bill, wait on the line for maybe 15 minutes before a person picks up, and immediately upon running my Account Number (and proceeding to completely muck up my name, which is weird because I can only imagine it's right there on the screen next to my account number), the person tells me that my account is locked and a supervisor will call me back in 24 to 48 hours. I didn't bother waiting for that call before posting this review. This situation is already nonsensical in every way, so even if it's a mistake and all's well and the charge goes away, I'm already flabbergasted at how ridiculous this bill looks. Like they just sat down and decided they needed $90 to stay in business, so why not just add a charge to someone's bill a year-and-a-half later even though there's CLEARLY an insurance payment that covered the full cost of the service in the first place. Reading through the other reviews, I suspect this won't be cleared up quickly or easily. I'll report back either way. But if you are pointed to this place for any medical needs, I strongly urge you to go somewhere else. read more

I am so frustrated, my appointment was supposed to be tomorrow at 9:30am. They call me the day before at 6pm to let me know the doctor called out so all appointments are canceled and the next one isn't available until the 18th!!! First... let me say that I was really surprised at the reviews I've read because my experience with this place was amazing. They called me to confirm the appointment, they told me I was going to have a $200 co-pay for my daughter's CT brain scan. Well, considering it's my child's brain we are talking about here and the chance that these nasty migraines could be caused by something being wrong in there... I was going to pay the co-pay. They also asked me to arrive approximately 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork. They said the entire process would take around an hour. First pleasant surprise was - they said they were mistaken and there was no co-pay. We filled out paperwork which took only about 10 minutes or less. We waited no more than 5 minutes after that and we were in the room where the scan was to be done. The technician was kind and informative and sensitive to the fact that she was administering contrast via an I/V to someone who was not an adult and had never been through this before. I was allowed to stay in the room until the scanning began. I got to see the screens of her brain during the scan... quite interesting. I was told the results would be at the doctor's office in approximately 72 hours or less. If I could find anything at all to complain about... it would have to be that it was a little cold in the waiting area at first. Silly me.... I was sitting right under the vent. And by the way.... we were out of there in an hour. read more

I was sent here for a simple foot x-ray by a podiatrist who, although he himself appears competent, has an office that evinces a similar disregard for patients' time and sanity. Upon entering I was told they were backed up and I'd be better off making an appointment for tomorrow. Then an overly solicitous toady assured me I could get in within 15 minutes. He lied. Then he and the teenager working the phone continued to lie for the next hour about the availability of the technician, the wait, etc. ad infinitum until I was ready to throttle someone. Meanwhile, a lobby full of people over 90 with much worse issues than mine waited passively to continue to be treated like cattle. When I finally started to push harder to get seen, I was asked for a prescription which had already been faxed. The teenager doing the asking said she would look through the stack of faxes a scant 5 feet away, then sat down to further ignore both me and said faxes. When I finally reached axe murderer stage and demanded someone shit or get off the pot, the fax was found and I was told I'd be seen soon. When I demanded a definition of "soon" I was told "right now." 5 minutes later, "right now" became me about to jump the counter and begin inflicting injuries requiring their own x-rays. I demanded an appointment for the next morning, and was told they don't take appointments (!). So, here's the take-home: if you are ever sent out of your HMO, (mine is Lakeside) to get an x-ray or anything else, do not allow yourself to be sent to California Radiology. I have never seen a medical office (other than the podiatrist who shall remain nameless until I give him a second chance) so careless of its' patients' time and blatantly apathetic about what lies it tells to escape their wrath for their lack of organization. The aforementioned toady literally ran into his office to avoid ansering for his "15 minute" lie, not to mention telling me his tech was handling a "medical emergency" when the poor bastard having the "emergency" had been sitting in the office for over 2 hours. They blithely wasted mine and everyone else's time and didn't care that they did it. I find this attitude to be rife in the health care industry and dread ever having to be in serious need of these cretins for anything more than a hangnail. These idiots could have stuck to their original statement that an appointment (which they don't take) would be best, but instead allowed me to waste an hour of my and my wife's time while they did nothing but ignore us and everybody else. California Radiology sucks balls. Don't go there. read more

After I told the receptionist IM in pain I was ignored and later told the other girl and finally when they decided to call me In I was crying from pain and fell to the floor. Read the reviews...was really surprised by them. The front office staff is EXTREMELLY NICE and the tech Julia deserves medal for not only being very nice but just for being a decent human being. Came in for an ultrasound at 9:00 am, was helped super fast,, and seen by Julia within about 10-15 min. Now I should note that I am handicapped and Julia assisted me every step of the way. I didn't feel uncomfortable at any point during the exam. I am taking away one star from an otherwise amazing experience due to the incredibly cold lobby. We are talking about morgue like temperature. For such a nice facility, the owner should be able to pump some heat or at least set up some portable heaters. Thank God I didn't have to wait too long but there were other patients who were complaining to the staff and the manager Victoria. Bottom line is nice staff in a freezing environment. read more

My insurance forces me here. No matter how early you get here, you will ALWAYS wait at least 30-60 minutes before they call you. Tonight, there are only 2 other people here for services. Staff is just milling about. It takes them 25 minutes to walk 6 feet to hand my chart to the technician. Even though my paperwork was in, they waited at least 25 minutes for the one person who was "ahead of me" to finish HER paperwork and turn it in before they even took my paperwork to the tech. I could have been in and out of there long before the other patient finished her paperwork. No common sense. So now I have to wait at least another 20-30 minutes before I'm called. And I'm practically the only one here!! Inefficient & indifferent staff. I hate it and hope my insurance switches to another provider. read more

The only reason why it has received one star is for its location. There is no communication that goes on in this place. I made an appointment with my oncologist based on the information that the staff gave me when my ultrasound results would be ready. Needless to say the the day before my oncology appointment I received a call from my oncologists office informing me that the results were not in and it would take another week. And don't get me started on the guy who handled the billing before May of 2015. He NEVER calling you back after multiple calls and emails when disputing the invoice. Now the invoice has gone from 30 - 60 days late, because NO ONE will give me the courtesy of a return phone call. read more

Such a friendly staff! I came in for an MRI of my shoulder after having been injured at work. The tech, Vardan, was very helpful. He calmed my nerves and I was out of that machine before I knew it! The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because the waiting area was really cold. Other than that, everything went well. read more

Mom was seen here today 01/03/19, the girl in the front, Jasmin A., was so rude!!!! She's making a personal call reporting a lost credit or bank card on the phone while at work!!! So unprofessional took her 8 minutes to check my mom in and she has the audacity to tell my mom she's late when the whole time we got here she was on the phone not taking a work related phone call and she's using the office computer to check her own personal account and making personal call on her cellphone during your work time about a stolen bank card while she was on vacation!!!! She's talking about her personal business at work right in the front lobby!!!!! How so very rude and unprofessional when at work you need to be doing your job!!!! Should patients be hearing about you losing your bank card and all about your account being frozen due to this issue that occurred on your own time?!? And you're at work making this call for the whole front lobby to hear that you lost your card. And she makes another call out but this time using the office phone, saying I love you to someone on the front office phone!!!! Really taking personal calls on the office phone!!!! So very unprofessional!!!! How can you have someone like this in the front of your office representing your company? Her being the forefront representation when you first walk in and you're greeted by this girl?!! Please provide her with more training!!!! read more

The medical department is nice there. But they charged me more than my insurance said to. They charged me for an mri/Cat Scan and I only needed an MRI and only had an MRI. Fraudulent. This place tried to get $95 extra dollars out of me for no reason when the service I had done was only for an MRI and should have cost me $300. Then they wouldn't refund me made up some excise about my insurance waiting 30-40 days to get the claim. Bullshit. Bad customer insurance read more

My experience with this place is totally opposite from previous comments. As soon as i got my authorization for pelvic ultrasound i called and scheduled an appointment. The receptionist was very friendly and did her best to give me my appointment according to my busy work schedule. I was told to come in with full bladder and 10 minutes earlier for the paperwork. I came in and asked about the waiting time. Since my bladder was full i was hoping to be seen right away because it felt very uncomfortable and painful. After 5 or 7 minutes i was called in. The tech lady was very pleasant but she said that my bladder was not full enough. She suggested to go back to the lobby and drink more water. The tech took the patient who was after me and i had to spent 25 more minutes waiting to be seen. I have to admit that it is the most unpleasant feeling to wait while your bladder is full but unfortunately it is the downside of pelvic ultrasound. Finally i was called back in and after 20 minutes with done with this unpleasant procedure. Overall the office is nice, there is an amazing coffee machine, the staff is very nice and helpful. I am sorry about people who had a bad experience because mine was great. BTW, today i got another authorization for an MRI with the same place....well..will write about it later. read more

My experience with California Radiology was a terrible one! I will NEVER go back. I only went the first time because my insurance works with them otherwise I would have NEVER decided to go there on my own. The women in the front messed up my appt. and I had to come back two separate times as it was their mistake but I had to suffer for it. Make sure you dont have plans after your appt. because I was there for about 2 hours waiting to be seen. The women at the front desk were extremely rude and VERY VERY trashy. They were treating the other patients with very little respect and were put out when they had to speak Spanish to this poor elderly man who was just trying to figure out what he needed to do. They were the most insincere low class group of people I have ever come across in this type of situation. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ANY COST! You will be happy you did!! read more

I had a pelvic ultrasound scheduled at this place for the first time. I requested that they fax or email me the paperwork that I needed to fill out so that I could just come in and go straight to the exam room and they said they couldn't. They didn't seem to care that I was coming in with a full bladder that was ready to burst. Burbank Imaging always sent me paperwork and had me fill it out beforehand. I came in 15 minutes before my appointment to fill out the paperwork. I was literally shaking in my seat. I turned in all the forms and she said someone will be with me shortly. I guess shortly to them is 20 minutes. It's not a long time, unless you have a full bladder that you've been holding for an hour. I almost didn't make it. I got into the exam room and the technician was explaining the procedure...while I was sitting there shaking because I could barely hold it anymore. I finally said, "If I have to wait 30 more seconds, I'm going to lose it right here on the table." She finally proceeded with the exam. This was one of the worst experiences ever. I hate that my insurance changed from Burbank Imaging to this place. read more

I am a case manager for a medical group and I came here to pick up a CD with MRI imaging. I called 30 minutes in advance and I was told it would just take 5-10 minutes. I waited at the facility for 35 minutes until they finally told me that their burner isn't working. The tech told me to come when the morning when they opened at 9am. With the fear that I would have to wait at the place for 35 minutes again, I called to see if it was done. It wasn't. They then told me to come at 1pm instead. The day before I told them the urgency of the patients need to have this MRI. Service here is horrible. I don't know why my company contracts their services. read more

The staff at California Radiology are fabulous! They are all very friendly, efficient and thorough. Usually mammograms are a dreaded procedure, but Lucy greeted me with a warm smile and immediately dispelled any apprehension I may have felt. What was surprising is that the mammogram actually did not hurt, nor was it uncomfortable in any way. I also had to have X-rays. The transition was smooth, the process quick and they provided me with a cd of the images the same day! Wow!!! I have never had the wonderful experience that I had at California Radiology. They are great and this will be my facility of choice! Many heart felt thanks to Lucy and the gang!! :-D read more

I only give one star because of the location and cleanliness. We called to get an appointment and they wouldn't give us one. Told us to walk in. So when I came in with my mom, they asked us if we had an appointment. That ticked me off. I told them they wouldn't let me make one. I filled out the paperwork for my mom and asked when she'd be seen. They said 30 minutes...40 minutes passed by they said 20 minutes....30 minutes...passed by then they said another 20 minutes. The people in the waiting area had been waiting two hours with a similar situation. Finally my sick mom got up and made a fuss and caused her.self distress. If you HAVE to come here, demand an appointment and don't ever walk in unless you have 3 hours to spare. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. I have been trying for almost a month now to schedule my MRI appointment. I have the insurance authorization and it was sent to them by my doctors office the same day it was received. However, every time I call to schedule, they tell me they haven't received it. So, on one occasion, I sent them my copy. Then they told me that the Authorization was wrong, so they could not give me my appointment. They told me I would have to call my doctor and have them change it with the insurance. I did so. The doctors office tried to explain to me why the authorization was not incorrect. I told them I didn't know what was correct or not, but radiology would not allow me to make my appointment. So they said they would talk to the insurance and get back to me. They did so and told me they spoke with the insurance, everything was in order, they sent the new authorization over, and all I needed to do was call back and make my appointment again. So I tried again. Same story. They have not received any authorizations except the one I sent before. I explained that there was a second one sent and they had confirmed receipt of it with my doctors office. Then they told me a 2nd time that the authorization was wrong and I would need to fix it or I wouldn't be able to schedule my appointments. They know fully well that a patient is not able to fix their own insurance authorization. I told him I didn't know how to fix it and he said someone would reach out to my doctor. So then he called my Doctors office while I was still on the line and as soon as they answered he said, "here, the patient had a question for you" and then hung up on us. As if I only needed him to dial a number for me for some reason??? The doctors office said "ok what is your question?" And I had to tell them that I had no idea. Of course I didn't have a question. I was just trying to schedule my MRI appointment. The radiology place was telling me the authorization was wrong but I don't know why it was wrong or what needed to change. They just wouldn't give me an appointment. Once again the doctors office reached out on their own, spoke with the radiology clinic as well as the insurance and called me a third time with a new authorization. I called again to make the appointment and was given the run around again. They "never received" the authorization AND it was "incorrect". I am at my wits end. I tell them I know the authorization was just sent and my doctors office had already received confirmation that everything was correct and that it was received. I asked them to check the fax machine. They told me that have no access to the fax machine and have to wait for it to be scanned to the computer. (Which apparently NEVER gets done, since it has been over 3 weeks and 3 separate authorizations have been sent from my doctors office and NONE of them have been entered into the system.) I asked her to please check with the office that has the fax machine and receives the referrals to see if it is there. She said she would need to know which fax number in order to ask them to check the proper machine and she would send them an email and hope they would get back to me. What??? Surprise, surprise, no one ever called me back. The doctors office ended up having to call for me and make the appointment on my behalf. The nurse said that every time she calls, every one is cooperative and there are no problems, and they tell her it's all in order, all I have to do is call to make the appointment. But every time I call they tell me nothing is in order and I cannot have the appointment. She thinks that, Apparently, because I am a patient and not a provider, they do not take me seriously. It seems to be set up purposely to make sure That patients can never get through. It's crazy making. It's almost like it's a game they play just to torment us. If you, as a patient, have the option of taking your business anywhere else, please do. You will save yourself countless weeks of frustration, angst, and delay in medical care. read more

I went in for a mammogram and chest x-ray..and I had a great experience.. The techs were sweet and very knowledgeable. I was seen within 15 minutes considering I was a little late for my appointment. The only complaint I would have is the staff in the front seemed really busy and a little unorganized, since it is a new center I sort of understand. As for the bad review, I have been to centers and have had really bad experiences such as Randy's. But I did return since I didn't have much of a choice with my insurance company. The second time was a completely different experience. I'm sorry Randy had a bad experience I just hope he would have an open mind and not completely decide on everything by this one experience, But I completely understand his frustration honestly I probably would have gone off like he did, but at some point try to do my best to forgive and understand or not in his case. I never go by these reviews for the reason of everyone can have a different experience. Some days will be good others will be bad. If you always go by what others say you might miss out on a good experience. Also I like to have my own opinion of things. If you have to go there than try it and see how your experience is don't go by these reviews. read more

Despite the low rate reviews, I had an excellent experience. I went because I needed a pelvis ultrasound( you have to go with a FULL bladder) I had my appointment at 1 pm but 5 minutes before 1 I felt like I wasn't going to be able to hold it anymore so I told the receptionist and she was really kind. She told the technician to hurry up and they called my like 1 minute after. The technician was really understandable that I had a full bladder so she tried to do the job as quickly as she could. She was telling me how much longer it would take to finish the ultrasound. I'm glad I had a good experience because I was a bit scared because of all the bad reviews I read here, but lucky me! Hey there, I agree --- I had a mammogram done too and my letter said the same -you do not have cancer followed by a note saying I should follow up with my dr because mammograms are not that accurate ... jeez thanks for nothing and it was the worst experience of my life. I have had at least 30 mammograms done in my life and this was the worst. The technicians thought I was joking when I almost fainted from the pain ... and they mocked me ... are you kidding me!
