When I called they answered my questions so I made an appointment. I had to tow it in and that was no problem. They quickly diagnosed the problem made the repair then tested and retested. Found another issue and repaired it. Truck is back to running perfectly again. Did what was needed but did not recommend unnecessary repairs. They are wonderful. So good to find a shop you can trust. This is the most thorough shop we've ever taken our truck to. My husband puts a lot of miles on his truck and this shop goes above and beyond when he has to take it in for repairs. We had a mysterious hiccup that kept happening and it took a while to find but they did an amazing job repairing it. Imler won't compromise on standards and won't put in cheap Chinese knock offs. They probably even lost money on one of our repairs, but they really know what they're doing. We wished we had gone to the shop even earlier than we did. Called them today based upon their great reviews - asked for a quote on a head gasket job on my 6.0 - rather than giving me a ballpark on what I asked for , the dude assured me my heads are bad and I would certainly have to replace them - 8500 is the quote he gave me - as I told him , I'd just buy a new truck - I've worked on diesels my whole life , if someone called me and asked me what I'd charge for head gaskets , I wouldn't just negatively tell them their heads are assuredly cracked without actually looking at it , particularly after I told him the truck only has 150k miles on it - I've replaced head gaskets on trucks with 400k miles on them , I didn't just assume the worst and I certainly wouldn't tell a customer that before the fact - read more

Took it to ilmer and they immediately told me 2 injectors were bad...repaired it within a few days and had my truck back on the road...also did a full inspection on the vehicle and told me i can drive it but can be fixed later..long story short...Take ur diesel if u are having issues...Oh..And their prices are excellent!!! read more

I took my 2003 Ford van with the 7.3 diesel and only 262,000 miles on it. I was expecting glow plugs, glow plug relay, something like that. It needed my two battery terminals replaced. That it. Fixed my hard starting problem. My old van a 95 Ford with the 7.3 stil runs strong with 396,000 on it. Don't know how long I'll keep my 2003 but Imler Performance Diesel will do the work in the future. read more

I'm the new owner of a 2006 Sportsmobile w/ PSD 6.0. The guys at Imler did a vehicle inspection for me and complied a comprehensive list of "to dos" for the vehicle. There was no pressure to do any of the work now (other than a couple of items of over-due maintenance work) and I never felt pressure to get the work done exclusively by Imler. The staff is patient and answers questions clearly and in a manner a new diesel owner understands. My only challenge are their hours (Mon-Fri 8-5). Saturdays would be great! read more

IMLER ROCKS .. I had an issue with my 7.3 diesel and had taken it to two other diesel places and they supposedly fixed the problem but they actually didn't. I call Imler describe my issue and they tell me on the phone what they think is wrong with it , schedule me an appt. Take it from someone who's worked in the automotive industry for almost 20 years, these guys are really great at what they do. Outside of emissions testing, I NEVER let other people touch my vehicles, I'm pretty OCD/anal-retentive about my cars and trucks. However between having a newborn at home, working 12 hour days, and having many hundreds of miles worth of travel plans for the holiday season scheduled, I couldn't find time to work on my old Ford IDI, so I began searching for the absolute best shop in the area. All my internet searching led me to Imler diesel. The morning of my appointment I showed up at the shop and was greeted by Ken and Diego. I handed over my laundry list of parts to replace, Diego worked up an estimate and Ken spent time going over the truck with me. All the repairs I had them perform were reasonably priced, and done in a reasonable amount of time. They were attentive to my requests, and when they couldn't acquire an obsolete part for my old dinosaur they just made one. When I went to pick up, Ken AGAIN went over the truck with me, showing everything they did, giving me advice on future problems to look out for, and answering all my questions about what parts are or are not worth upgrading. I have anF250 diesel. The check engine light came on and I found that a regular car code reader doesn't work. These guys pulled the codes for me and gave me some great info, all for $25.00 and in less then 30 minutes. They seem to specialize in diesel pickups. The work was very top notch and when I went to pick it up the bill was less then I was quoted I found them to be very honest . Most places would have just charged you the original quote amount. Started taking our truck to Ken Imler's in 2014. We got his name from Gary Westcott, from the Turtle Expedition. We have a 2000 Ford F- 350 with a 7.3 diesel, which we have owned since new. We are meticulous when it comes to maintenance on vehicles. This has always been our work horse and since we were planning on a lengthy trip to BC & AK we wanted some upgrades to make towing safer and easier. I am so happy I found this shop! Their expertise and willingness to help are amazing and unlike any shop I have ever experienced. Diego and Henry spent a bunch of time on the phone with me helping to diagnose the problems with my 6.0 Ford so I might fix it on my own and save some money. You can tell they love their jobs and again I was amazed with their willingness to help me without having to spend a dime or be pressured. In the end I decided to have them do some Bullet Proofing. They know diesels like the back of their hand and don't waste your time and money guessing through trial and error. While they had things apart they recommended a couple of additional proactive items and in the end my final bill was LESS than they quoted me, plus they told me a couple of additional things I thought I needed were unnecessary, an absolute first for me with any mechanic! What's more, they want the truck back after 1,000 miles for a free checkup of their work which was never part of the quote. When do mechanics do something proactive and courteous for free? We won't take our 1999 Dodge diesel anywhere else. They are up front and honest. They even went the extra mile today to get and install a battery in my non-diesel car while we were waiting for our truck's smog test. Our diesel is 16 years old and we have no plans to go newer because Imler has enhanced the performance and we would drive it to New York tomorrow if we were so inclined.
