    Kung Pao Lunch Special

Mr. Chen's is the neighborhood restaurant that you'll want to eat at for your entire life. The food is delicious, extremely affordable, and the owners are incredibly kind. Mr. Chen's recently got new ownership about six months ago, and it has quickly become my go-to lunch spot. Their lunch menu allows you to select one protein, fried rice, and an egg roll--all for under $10. In this economy, it's hard to find such delicious food at this price point; it's amazing. You can't beat it. Everything here is so good and tasty. It's a traditional Chinese-American restaurant that operates efficiently and affordably. I guarantee there isn't a better lunch option anywhere nearby. Just trust me.

Had the Black pepper beef today. It was melt in your mouth good So far everything I have had here has been so good. Today while I was eating, a fellow yelper sat in the booth behind me. I could hear him talk and he came in because of my reviews. He also said the food was delicious. Thank you yelpers for giving this place to try. You will not be sorry that you did. The food is that good. Please let them know that Jerry sent you ha ha.

Food and service was great, my family and I enjoyed it very much. We ordered spicy shrimp Lo Mein, spicy beef broccoli, sesame chicken, spicy house fried rice, and the crab puffs. We enjoyed the option of making our food spicy. Very tasty, I recommend coming here.

Very nice place. I LOVE the tangy chicken. Has a nice kick to it and the pork fried rice is the best I've ever had. If I lived in the area I'd definitely come again.

mar far chicken, pork fried rice and spring rolls with a side of sweet and sour sauce.

Lunch special is good price. Food is meh at best. Fills you up but no real flavor. Had ordered Kung pao & wasn't spicy. Service was fine.

Right now Captain's Galley is hidden behind a newly arrived red psychedelic-painted Mexican food truck. The food is as delicious as ever. Fried but not greasy, no old oil taste. My usual order is fish, shrimp and clams, chips instead of fries. All made fresh to order. The chips are to die for, fried just right. The breading in the clams, shrimp and fish has just the right amount of seasoning. They are so not greasy that I can eat them all as finger food and wiping my fingers off on a napkin doesn't leave greasy streaks. All are served with a little coleslaw, generous amounts of cocktail sauce, a spicy but not too much so dipping sauce, and the best tarter sauce I ever had in my life. I found something new to make me happy. They have delicious fish tacos! Before trying these I had fast food fish tacos that were more crunchy breading than fish. Captain's Galley brings the fish! Perfectly seasoned fish with toppings in proportion and a nice drizzle of sauce. Now when I go back it's a tough decision as to what to get. If you ever in your life liked New England clam chowder, get yourself on over to Captain's Galley for theirs. I've had New England clam chowder many times in New England and this is so much better! It comes with oyster crackers. This clam chowder is fresh enough that it can survive 2 days in the refrigerator and still be delicious.

I went with the pulled pork sandwich, which was good and flavorful, and paired really well with their pepper & cabbage coleslaw on the side. We just walked over to the door. All ready, I didn't like entering with a loud music, I asked to be seated where it's quieter. She said: she'll turn it down. It didn't seem like the music any quieter, so hubby asked her again, and she said: someone may have turned it back up, she would lower it again. The music did get quiet. (There were small children at the time). We ordered from extensive menu. I chose the Empanada de Camaron: 4 fried turnover Empanada stuffed with cheese, shrimp, and vegetable sofrito (mixed with aromatic ingredients then sautéed), accompanied with Mexican sauce. Hubby picked the Chile Relleno: Poblano chili pepper, stuffed with mixed cheese and potato, battered in whipped egg then deep-fried to a golden brown and bathed in delicious tomato sauce. Both were delicious! The relleno was served with rice pilaf with mixed vegetable, he said he didn't care too much for that. I only ate only one of my empanada, because I was filling up with my chips & enjoying my salsa, but I wasn't really hungry. I took the rest home, for later. I love the sauce! I told Adriana, and she said: Oh! You didn't want that? I tried to tell her: I'd like it to go. (I have a feeling we're having problem communicating, she's very nice, though). The service: We were talked to by 4-5 different servers who asked us how we were doing. One: I asked if I could have mild salsa sauce, and she said: No, those were the choices they all have. A few minutes later, I asked a bus boy, but he asked someone else (who spoke English), and he - Alexander - he delivered a warm salsa to our table. He came back again, to ask how it was. The 5th girl who showed up at our table, mentioned to her about our anniversary. Towards the end, we did get a complimentary flan (thank you), but both of our water glass were empty, and we didn't get a refill, we're done. The restroom were clean, and I love the decor of the restaurant, specially the fresh flowers on each table.
