Liked it, did some in college, sports only, but never a dominant feature of my life for the most part. Maybe a little PoGo (and was the best around the summer after it broke), but it died when the Map died and the game changed. On the other hand, my brother got completely sucked up into it. And he'd love this place. If your kids, like most, are obsessed with video games, you'll be very hard-pressed to find something more amazing (in their eyes) to take them to than this. In fact, they'll probably love you (more) forever and be completely well behaved (comparatively) for at least a little while (5 mins) if you bring them here. It's sad to say and it's not the cheapest, but it really is the best thing you can do for a video game technology saturated youth these days. Which is most of them, isn't it? We'll definitely be back after we exhaust that. It's $10/hour, 3 hours for $20. They do birthday parties too and their fees are comparable to other party venues. They also have card games, so it's not all just Xbox. Note: this location does NOT have PCs like the Culebra location. There are 27 gaming stations and they only accept so many POGO per day, so call ahead before you make the drive if you plan on redeeming one.

About a month ago, we escaped Carnevil. Despite a few technical issues and glitches with some of the puzzles, we really enjoyed the room. It was packed with decorations, had a great atmosphere, and the puzzles were challenging and engaging. We had such a good experience that we decided to come back for another visit. This time, we played "The Other Side" based on an employee recommendation, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The puzzles weren't very challenging, the room felt short, and the overall experience fell flat compared to other rooms we've done. The set design and decorations were also fairly minimal, making it less immersive than we expected. We were so underwhelmed that we decided to pay for another room immediately afterward. We chose "Society Zero," and it was a completely different experience. The puzzles were much more challenging and engaging, there were more of them, and the room's decor and atmosphere were just better. We escaped that room as well and had a much more enjoyable time. While "The Other Side" wasn't for us, we'd definitely recommend "Society Zero" for anyone looking for a more immersive and challenging escape room experience. Overall, we've had positive experiences here and will likely return, but we'd suggest skipping "The Other Side" and choosing one of the more developed rooms instead

We asked for a refund when we waited an hour for the next play. We arrived at 3pm and only were able to play 2 times. They apologized for the delay but were unable to refund for the one 10 minute play. They said they had too many birthday parties to accommodate public play so we needed to wait for the next field to come available. I would say it's poor planning and poor customer service. I wouldn't suggest going for public play during the weekends when there are a lot of parties, because you won't be allowed to play.

Super welcoming. Not robotic. Not reading from a script. They explained everything clearly, made sure we felt confident going in, and kept the energy up without overdoing it. What I appreciated most was how thoughtful they were outside the game itself. They gave us real recommendations for places to check out around San Antonio after. Not generic tourist stuff. Actual spots that made our night better. You can tell when people care about the experience versus just running a shift. Lauren and Hawthorn genuinely cared. It felt like they wanted us to have a great birthday, not just finish a time slot. If you're booking here, ask for them. They made it awesome.

If you park outside by the Incarnate Ward entrance, when you enter, climb the broken escalator and the place will be right there. I wasn't sure what to expect and was worried it would be cheesy, but it was so much fun to go with friends. All the rooms are eerily decorated ranging from macabre to whimsical. There are lots of props you can play with, the staff will warn you about what to avoid. I was impressed with how well the lighting worked with the pictures we took. You can buy your tickets online or there when you arrive. They have time slots on the hour and you'll have a full hour to wander around and have fun taking pictures. Be sure to check the bloody lockers for fun surprises.

For racing: each person revived a wristband with the time of the race heats on it so they knew when to report to the racing bay. They do a good job of explaining the rules and how the carts operate. I was surprised how heavy the helmets were but then when I saw how other people were handling their carts, it made sense. These carts move! Not everyone was comfortable with the speed or the course because it's much more "rainbow road" style than what most people are used to. The race itself felt like a good length of time but it would've been nice to have some tiered races; like beginner, intermediate, advanced. For food: they had a whole spread of food and the staff was making sure it was well stocked and clean. They also gave everyone two drink tickets to the bar and there was a large variety of options you could cash those tickets in for (including non alcoholic drinks). For games: we each got a game card that was active for one whole hour from the first swipe and was limited to the mainly the non ticket issuing games. It added another level of team building with a lot of the games being multi player. There were almost no games out of order either.

We did Kids Mode, which offered more hints. If you've never done an escape room before, they put you in a room with puzzles to solve. As you solve the puzzles, you unlock more clues and additional puzzles. You have one hour to solve the final puzzle. When you get stuck, you can ask for a hint. Someone is watching you from hidden cameras, so they know what you need next. We made it out with five minutes to spare. It was fun! The place was clean, the challenge was creative, and the staff members were very friendly. One tip: it costs less on weeknights.
