We stopped by on our way back from our spring break vacation. I went in with low expectations, with all the mixed reviews we saw. We figured, let's just check it out. Glad we did! The major, and I mean major things was it was not crowded! Which was a huge relief for spring break and the crowds we dealt with every where else we went. The second MAJOR plus! The food was actually really good! You don't hear that much about amusement parks! If the family says they would eat it served anywhere else, then it's good! I recommend the family pack with food! Ok so value wise, you can look at it in two ways. The perks could outweigh the seeming thought of overpaying. It's waaaaaay cheaper than seaworld, or six flags. I can see it being worth more value if the water park section was opened. For right now, the fact the kiddos and even the misses could ride all day, and no long lines, make this a win for us. There are no token to buy, just all day wristbands. Yes the video games for the most part are dated. It's also not a huge park. There are four major rides outside. My family said the rollercoaster was a lot more violent and faster than they thought it would be. They were split whether they liked it or not. They also all loved the go kart attraction. We almost missed a small section in the inside towards the back. They had a bungee trampoline, a small rock wall, and a flight simulator! The family all enjoyed the flight simulator! It made for lots of laughs. They did have a playground and ball area for the smaller kids which we did not explore. Again, this is not a major theme park, but more like a light version with less crowds! We are coming back! The only negatives for us, the distance from where we live, the dated video game rides, and the water park being closed. It's not crazy cheap, but not crazy expensive. Hope that makes sense. Parent, tween, and little kid approved. Found this place as a suggested kid activity on Yelp. We passed through from Austin to Schlitterbahn, looking for an alternative to water park since it was unexpectedly closed, early in the season. What a delightful surprise! My family had a blast and easily spent 4 hours playing. Very clean, excellent customer service, and not busy at all... The roller coaster is very serious & fun, not at all what we were expecting. We loved the silo climbing wall & were impressed by the go kart track. The arcade had a few games we loved (Buck Hunter & Guitar Hero) but mostly unknown, though lots of varied games. The climbing & ball room was nearly overlooked completely! What a shame that would have been. Super fun while thoughtfully designed & perfectly maintained. It's a great spot to visit and bring friends, but the only thing that really hate is that the water park part is not open in the weekdays so me and my friends at the college can't go & swim at the park at the end of the school day. TLDR: Cheap, easy, fun for the kids. This place is exactly what you would expect from a cheap amusement park in the middle of a small city. There is no room to grow or expand the park, so don't expect new rides every year like six flags. There are a total of 3 rides, so don't expect a lot of variety, and there are only a few water slides. The reason for 5 stars is, typically you would have to pay more for the arcade and go carts, but you don't. The arcade games are all free, the rock walls are all free, etc. you get so much for your tickets that it makes the value far exceed expectations. read more

We had a fun time at ZDT's Amusement Park. While they only have one rollercoaster, Switchback, it is a fun, fast, and unique ride that you get to experience both forward and in reverse. Additionally, they have several other thrill rides that you can go on when you get tired of the Switchback, as well as go-carts, rock climbing, arcade games, a MaxFlight Motion Simulator, and when in season, water rides. And I even liked the food here. Plus, they are cheaper to go to than SeaWorld or Six Flags in San Antonio and the lines are usually much shorter. All in all, ZDT's Amusement Park is a fun way to spend a day, and is definitely worth the drive from San Antonio or Austin. read more

We are Las Vegas out of towners. This place was great & lots of fun. You get some much for your money. It was awesome. Now...if they could just control the heat and humidity, it'd get a 5. There is so much to do. A water park, roller coaster & a few other rides, go-carts with the best ever track, video games, a trampoline, wall climbing, indoor play area, etc. You could stay there all day and not get bored. What a great place for families to hang out together. Some of the games are dated and don't work perfectly but they are all free so if you get annoyed, just move to the next machine and try it out. A word about the food: They make one of the best hot dogs around these parts. I think the bun might be made from dinner rolls sliced creatively, and the wiener is as good as they get this side of Chicago. My wife gives high marks for the hamburger too. Quite a surprise for this setting. My hat's off to the owners for turning a couple of run-down industrial city blocks into a great venue for entertaining kids of all ages. read more

For one price, you can purchase a bracelet that will enable the kids to do absolutely everything and the best part is that this establishment is very well maintained! Everytime I have been here, there has not been a video game that is not working. I have done my boys' birthday party here and it has been a hit and other party members have followed pursuit and have had their bday parties here. Pizza is brought in from Dominoes and you can bring in your own cake and supplies. Drinks are bought by the pitcher onsite. In addition to the video games (that's also located in another "gaming house"), there is a huge jungle jim, rock climbing walls, virtual roller coaster, a couple of outside thrill rides, a huge slide and go-carts. I took six (12-14 year-old) girls here for my daughter's birthday this past week. * First off, the website is deceiving. There is a colorful "drop down" menu which lists "Attractions" then proceeds to list 1. Family thrill rides 2. Active Attractions 3. Water Rides and 4. The Video Arcade Okay, we expected to spend the day here but were a bit disappointed to find that we completed the park in less than 3 hours. For $25 a pop, that seemed a bit expensive to me, especially after a 90 minute drive. The girls did all the rides/attractions numerous times (as the park was completely empty) and they did have fun but we probably would not go back for that price. I feel that if the price point was more like $15-$17, the place would get tons more business. It was so empty :o( Also, the go-carts had so many issues. There were only 8 people in line ahead of us but the wait was 35 minutes due to the drivers crashing, causing all carts to continuously stop. Then, the attendant had to physically walk to the cart that was causing the problem and walk it off. This was common and one attendant had to fix it each time... just frustrating. The huge covered area near the water slides is nice but definitely needs some water/drink sales. It was 100 degrees and would have been nice not to have to make the walk to the main building to buy drinks for the girls (who were soaking wet). Just a suggestion :) Most girls that we brought had been to ZDT's once (years ago) and all their parents said they just thought it wasn't worth the price to go back... Maybe even a "half-price day" to see if it increases sales? I'd love to see business boom. read more

We used to love this place. But it's really gone downhill. Some woman was screaming and cussing at children in the ball pit. While the staff just watched. A lot of the games weren't working. And my kid found a burning cigarette in his shoe when he left the ball pit. We paid $35 per person. Then more for food. read more

Out here in this small town there isn't much and it's hella far from the big amusement parks in SA so it's nice to have this. The place is cool and seems to have a variety for kids of all ages. There's kids all the way up to pre-teens and even some adults/parents playing. The employees were chill and friendly. The lines are so short, so you can ride rides over and over. Kids loved the rides. Everyone was so nice, but the food service was stupid slow. 46 minutes for 2 pizza slices. Two chicken tenders, and a hotdog. Then (not their fault) the hotdog was immediately dropped on the floor. Asked for a new one, and Another 40 minutes later, no hotdog. If they were crazy busy, that would of been understandable, but four people moving at a snails pace and another one just standing and watching was infuriating. Never got the hotdog. As I (finally) approached my 1000th review, I was thinking what mine should be. Franklin BBQ with its famous brisket was certainly a worthy contender. No, I'm going a different direction. Let me tell you about this lesser known, family owned and operated amusement park in Seguin TX. I discovered ZDT's a few years ago when they built Switchback, which is an awesome compact wooden shuttle roller coaster by The Gravity Group. It has a unique design in that it goes through its course forwards and then again backwards, but still starts off with a traditional chain lift. It truly maximizes the limited space they have available. More importantly, it's just so much fun! Our window for visiting was equally tiny since they were only open on the weekend and we had to fly home that afternoon. It was a slightly rainy couple of hours on an April Saturday, but that meant light crowds and we had full enjoyment of the park. In addition to a half dozen laps on Switchback, I tried out their multi-level electric go kart track. It has a decent length but it's not a ton of fun on your own (the girlfriend wasn't interested). We also rode the Dizzy Toucan, which is a spinning pendulum ride. Despite its tiny stature, you get some really nice airtime and we agreed that it was way more fun than expected. Their wristband gets you access to everything, so we also spent a good amount of time playing random arcade games. The selection isn't the greatest and some weren't working properly, but we found a couple that we enjoyed. Some of the attractions we didn't try include a drop ride, some water slides, and a couple of unique rock climbing walls on the sides of silos. Combined with some indoor kiddie playgrounds, they really have a good variety of activities for all ages. It will be interesting to see how ZDT's grows in the future. But even now, they are completely worth a visit for Switchback alone. It's just awesome to see a small business doing big things. And it truly is a family affair. Zac (the Z in ZDT's) was the one who rang us up for our wristbands. Well worth the price of admission and the hour drive from San Antonio. read more

We have two teenage grandsons and two elementary aged grandkids we spend allot of time with. Finding something that fits all their hopes and dreams can sometimes be challenging. Not here. We put together a last minute get away weekend and have been here in Sequin area. Found this place in some Google searches. We really hit the jackpot. These people understand kids. We visited historical sites in the morning then came over about 12:30. For one very reasonable price they played for over 7 hours on video games, arcades, simulators, 2 story ball blasting area, rock climbing inside and out, zero gravity bouncer something, go carts, driving games, 2 midway style rides, and water slides.... All inclusive. Had one picnic meal we had brought outside and snacks inside. Very cool and comfortable when inside and non players don't pay! They keep everything very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The kids are already ready to come back. Not an eye rolling or complaint was seen or heard all day about this activity. read more

If they just had one more thrill ride... I took my son and all his football friends here for his 15th birthday party. They enjoyed it. The extreme wristband is awesome and if you buy it online it'll save you a few bucks. We never waited in line for more than a few minutes and sometimes we rode things over and over again without any wait. They were busy, but efficient. The roller coaster is awesome. I probably rode 7 times in 2 hours just because. The switchback part... when you go up to go backwards is a thrill in itself. It will make your hair stand up with excitement. There are two video gaming areas, the water slides are fun and the 4D ride can make you sick, in a fun. They cater to all age groups. I just wish there was another thrill ride like the switchback. My family and I had a great time at this amusement park. It's about 45-50 min from Austin in Sequin, TX. We weren't sure what to expect from this place and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of things to do there from their full size roller coaster, arcade, indoor jungle gym, rock wall, go kart track, and other rides. This is no way compared to a full amusement park like Fiesta Texas or Six Flags, but for kids ages 3-15. The roller coaster was fun and fast. The go karts had a nice track design. There are plenty of areas for parents to sit and they even let you bring your own food to eat, but you had to eat outside on their picnic tables which wasn't a big deal. They do have a snack bar with pizza, nachos, drinks, and other treats. What impressed me was the cleanliness and friendly staff there. You could easily spend a half day there with a small group. An average family alone could spend several hours there. The price of admission was also fair. You buy unlimited wrist bands allowing you to ride everything as much as you want or you can buy a la carte. read more

Visited here on a rainy day, on a Saturday during spring break. Lovely rainy mist added fun to the mood. Had two girls, 7 and 3. $25/general admission and 17.99 for the 3 year old. Due to rain, water park was closed, which was very unfortunate. We were only left with roller coaster which only 7 yo could take and the silo climb. Drop was also not allowed for the 3yo. So, we barely did anything on the outside rides. Go carting is fun just for once, maybe twice. Cafeteria is just stinky. Carpet needs replacement. Coffee and sprite both had tap water taste in it, eww! The ball room is fun, and the indoor climb is too if your 3yo luckily gets a pleasant and supportive attendant. Most of the ride operators and staff was dry, no greet/meet attitude. Overall, not worth it. Maybe for once, on a sunny day when kids are at least 56" each. read more

This place is great. Went with my 4 year old son and my wife and we had a great and fun day! First off, its perfect for my 4 year old. He qualifies for all the rides, although I had to go with him on some them but thats not a problem. Staff: Friendly and courteous. Rides: Good mixture, go karts, parachute drop and the wall climbing were stand outs for us. The water park was a massive hit and we spent 3 hours going on the different rides - there are water 3 rides in all. But that seemed to be enough to keep little man entertained. Another nice factor was the arcade games were all free to play. Food: Ok, not going to win any awards; typical stuff like hot dogs, chicken tenders, pizza etc. Reasonably priced and kept us going. When we go back we will probably bring a cooler and our own food and drink. Very clean park - bathrooms are maintained. Just went here this past Saturday for my cousins birthday party. This place was not what I expected at all. It was a lot of fun! All the kids and adults had such a great time! This place has video games, Jungle playland, Flights simulator, trampoline, rock wall, and thats just the stuff inside! Outside they have a parachute drop ride, the dizzy toucan, silo climb and a multi-level Go-Kart track! I'm 23 years old and I had a blast here. My family and I was a bit skeptical at first because we are from the city and use to huge amusement parks but this exceeded our expectations and we had soooo much fun! It was perfect for us and we got a chance to enjoy just about everything without having to wait in long lines which was a plus! My nephew is deployed right now, so my Niece-in-Law and Great Nephew and Niece came out to Texas for some family time. This was the first weekend I could make it down to Seguin from Austin and with my sister up from Corpus. We had such a great time at ZDT's. The staff was amazing and; my thing... The bathrooms are clean. Yes, it's small, but for a 3.5 year old and a 18 month old toddler, they had a blast. My Great Nephew wouldn't stop. The Go-Carts were a blast. My Great Nephew was loving it. This is the second time we've been here, this time it was our boys celebrating their birthday with a few friends. A band is $19.99 and it's all the rides you can ride and games you can play, it's really a good deal. I could see on days where they are super busy that lines would be longer etc but still it's an all day band. We didn't do a party package although it would be worth it for more than a few kids, we ordered pizza and drinks and the boys had a ton of fun. We had a nice little celebration (5 boys total) for under $150. Pretty good in birthday party land. Friendly staff (young but nice), and clean. Only a short drive was a bonus. read more
