To those who do this competitively... props to you because this is a sport for the skilled. Be sure to **make a reservation** if you're going with other people and **purchase the Yelp deal** to save some monies! I came with my boyfriend and we purchased the Yelp deal -- we ended up getting two lanes, a bow and four arrows each, for two hours! BOGO?! When you arrive, you need to watch a 6-8 minute instructional video of what do to, how to hold and shoot an arrow, and the proper etiquette of the range. Then you're taken into the actual range to start! There are 20 lanes. The first 5, I think, are reserved for the professionals (lol) their target is waaaay further -- I don't think I can shoot my arrow that far. But a lane is reserved for you along with four arrows and a bow. They show you how to properly shoot the arrow then they let you go! There isn't a limit of how many times you can shoot, just the limit of how long you're at the range. Two hours seemed long, but we ended up almost staying the full two hours. Lemme tell you, don't be embarrassed if you can't hit the target (my arrow went over the target my first couple tries), you'll get the hang of it! I highly recommend coming here. My boyfriend and I initially came here to get his bow fixed after being rejected by 2 other stores. The customer service was unmatched. They went above and beyond to fix it and gave him a great deal on another bow they had on consignment. Of course, they assisted throughout that process and then hooked me up with my own bow. The second time we returned, we were greeted immediately. They were all ready to help out and I could not be more impressed. The owner is AWESOME. I really enjoyed our visit to this Archery of entertainment. I highly recommend giving this a try on your next trip to Las Vegas or in your neighborhood if they have it. My first time doing it and it became addictive right away. Definitely got the competitive juices going lol After the first 30 minutes I thought I was Green Arrow from the CW network lol With rental it is about Thirteen dollars per hour. The staff that was on the range floor and were great. Friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful with everyone. They stressed safety and was very encouraging to new shooters who sucked in the beginning like myself. lol The mood is very positive and intense with decent music playing. A mix of all types of music. There is a waiting room area with a large TV, a Wii, magazines, a chess set and couches. There are also seats in the back of the range. One negative is that you have very limited space per shooter so its pretty tight in there lol not much elbow room at all but other than that great experience. If I could give this shop 10 gazillion stars I would. The staff is absolutely a breeze to work with. In a world where customer service is lacking, this place EXCELS! I've been shooting here for a few months now, the range is very well lit, plenty of seating and targets are provided at no extra cost. This place prides themselves on being a place where anyone can come try archery out in a safe controlled environment. Did I mention you can also get 24/7 access too if you want? This places loves the locals and it shows. Wanting to do more in archery, I had Charles order me a Hoyt hunting style bow. He spent the time going through their vast bow selection and let me shoot a few of em' before deciding. Little did I know he's a miracle worker and had it there in the shop four days later. Wow. I came in a few hours and went through what I call an experience and lesson in bow building. It was awesome to sit at the window and watch Charles work. He walked through all my options and explained everything he was doing! It's all in the details with him due to his 20yrs of experience! My bow was ready to go in an hour and he even Tuned it with me on the range. He then used the computer to get specific arrow specs for my bow. Another pro shop in town took a month to make me arrows, Charles made mine on the spot! Thanks again Charles my bow shoots amazing! I'll definitely be doing future business with only them. Now that I've been going here for about a month (and shooting everyday, yup literally), the folks at this place are amazing. From the Owner himself to all the Pros that shoot here, just an amazing community of archers that are all willing to share their knowledge and expertise. Top notch. No one is snobby and everyone is always willing to help. The staff ROCKS. All accomplished archers in their own right and so patient and helpful with everyone. I started bringing my niece here and eventually she got her own bow :) Her private lessons at the range with an in-house instructor have been so helpful and instrumental in her improvement. And I recently got her father to come as well and he caught on quick and was really interested to "get into it more." The owner himself recommended the right bow and setup for him, based on his strength and bow preference. My buddy walked away from the range today, totally impressed and loved that he could now have an amazing hobby to share with his daughter :) Having said all that, I'll leave all of you with this - if you have kids who want to try it out; a friend or that special someone who you might want to share this with; or even yourself - a beginner or someone wanting to improve his/her skills. fun date night idea. you dont have to be skilled to participate and youre verrry unlikely to hurt yourself and anyone. there are groupons avaialble, but in general i think their rates are pretty fair. you watch a training video prior to starting and then you and your group shoot al together until the last person is done. Then altogether you retrive your arrows and reset, and once everyone's ready you shoot again and so on and so forth, the cycle continues. staff was nice and friendly, i didn't have too much interaction with them so i can't exactly give a full review review on her/him. read more

I'm still relatively new to the skill, and my young daughter has shown an interest. So, in order to gauge whether she was actually interested, or whether it's just a phase, I signed up for a private lesson, for both myself and my 6-year-old daughter. Our instructor, the older of the two gentlemen I saw working there (unfortunately I missed his name), was amazing, so patient with my daughter, and really helped make the experience a memorable one. I was worried she wouldn't have the stamina (or attention span) to go a full hour, but when the hour was up, she was bummed to leave. And she really loved the instructor. She immediately asked if we could come back tomorrow and have another lesson. I have my own bow and equipment, but my daughter does not. That was the point of scheduling the lesson for her, I wanted to judge whether this was something she would actually stick with before buying her a bow. While our experience was overall very positive, there were some annoyances. The first problem was that they do not have any youth bows available. She had to use a 20-pound bow, which was too heavy for her. I was surprised that they didn't have any that were lighter. There were also no finger tabs or arm guards available for her to use. The instructor did, at one point, give her another bow to try, that may have been a bit lighter, but it did not have the finger savers on the string, and she couldn't pull it back without hurting her fingers. Even with the 20 pound bow, she wasn't shooting hard enough to really worry about string slap, but when I see "equipment provided" on the website, I assume ALL the safety equipment is provided. I still have a bruise the size of my fist on my arm from string slap 4 days ago, and I only have a 30 pound recurve. I'd think arm guards, at the very least, would be available. The main annoyance I had was with the pricing for the lesson. It is $45 per hour. The price for two people is $80. I'm slightly annoyed that the price is per PERSON instead of per INSTRUCTOR. If I had known it would be like that, I would have rather paid the extra $10 and have an instructor for each of us. Of course, I'm glad the instructor focused mostly on her, she's the one who needed it, and it gave her an incredibly positive experience, and kept her from getting frustrated when she missed (which is a habit she's had in the past with other things, and it was one of my main concerns with her today). But the fact that I paid $40 for him to watch me shoot for 3 minutes and offer one suggestion (which actually was a big help, he pointed out the reason why I've been hitting the inside of my elbow with the string so often. Still, $40 for one suggestion) seemed like a bit of a ripoff. I was hoping for someone who could help me get from a novice level to an intermediate one, that was the point of scheduling the lesson for myself, and unfortunately he couldn't do that AND focus on my daughter. Again, I'm glad he focused on her. She's small, young, and has literally never even held a bow before today. She NEEDED someone focused on her the entire time, and I appreciate that he recognized that. And he really did spend the entire time truly focused on her, and it made her feel so special. There was no looking at his phone or socializing with other coworkers or anything like that. He made her his entire focus for the entire time (except for the couple of minutes he spent focusing on me). She was still gushing about the experience when I put her to bed tonight. This literally made her week, in no small part due to the instructor. The instructor himself was beyond excellent, and the annoyances I voiced here have nothing at all to do with him. He was amazing with my daughter, he pointed out an issue with my grip that I didn't realize I was doing (which will save me from more string slap in the future), and if I could give him 10 stars, I would. I honestly can't say enough good things about him. The other employees, the young lady and the younger gentleman, were very friendly and helpful as well. When I had asked about the pricing, the young lady patiently explained it to me, and was very professional. And with two adults or older children, one instructor is probably perfectly adequate for two people. It just didn't work in my situation, and for anyone with kids on the younger side, I definitely recommend paying the extra $10 and getting an instructor for each person. read more

The girlfriend and I spent our anniversary in Vegas this past weekend and she found a Groupon for this gem of a spot. It was my first attempt at archery, and it won't be my last. I'm actually interested in getting my own gear and picking it up as a hobby. We booked an hour's worth of shooting time, but first, we were required to watch an instructional video. If you're lost after the vid, don't fret. You really just need to step into the range and start shooting and you should pick it up fairly quickly. Though it's pretty easy to shoot the arrow, it's much harder to actually hit your target. Yeah, I'm a newbie, but I really wanted to hit those bullseyes! My girlfriend and I initially thought a full hour of shooting was overkill, however, the time flies. I could've done another couple of hours. I've gotten bow and equipment recommendations and plenty of helpful advice with shooting. The reservation and membership is super simple and makes things easy. The service has always been great. The bow techs have done a great job on getting my bow to fit me and now i'm hitting great groupings early on in my time shooting. Do you fancy yourself to be like Katniss? You might not become her in a 30 minute lesson, but you'll be one step closer! This location is in a business park and can be a challenge to find if you are using Google Maps. It directed us to several wrong locations which was quite frustrating. Once you are in, you sign your name and address into the sign-in sheet and then a trainer gives you a brief overview of how to hold the bow correctly. It literally took about 15 minutes and then he let us start shooting! Oh, there was one point in the lesson when he pointed the arrow at someone in our group and then attempted to make a joke about it. But, we didn't really think it was funny. Anyway, the actual time we spent shooting arrows was quite fun. I did not get any bulls eyes, but I did get a few that were close!! I had a team building event with my team at work. We made the reservation about a week prior to our event day. Things I liked: -Checkin process: it was quick and easy. We signed the waiver on their tablets then paid and good to go. -Instructions video: for beginners they had us watch a 10 minutes video to show us how to shoot. The video was pretty well made and cover all the basics. -Live instructor: there was a life instructor at the range. Outstanding concept of "dodgeball" but in bow & arrow form. It's a very simple concept that has two opposing teams facing off to shoot each other with foam tipped darts to "tag" the person out. My friend and I spontaneously bought the $13 groupon deal, which got each of us a one-hour shooting session including a bow rental. No appointment was required, and we were quickly assigned our lanes when we walked in. The layout of Impact Archery is simple enough: There is the archery shop, a lounge with free wifi (heck yes!), and the shooting range. The service here is a good mix of hands-off and helpful at the right times. The staff gave us just enough freedom to shoot at our own pace without feeling pressured, but made sure to stick around just in case a target sheet needed to be changed. It's been a few years since I've shot an arrow, so I really appreciated that one of the staff members took the time to explain how to shoot before he let us loose. The shooting range is pretty straightforward. A small screen behind the shooting line displays the shooters' names, their assigned lanes, and the time they have remaining to shoot. The walls are decorated with stuffed animal heads (the less cute, more morbid kind) and archery posters. Else than that, there is little extra decoration to distract from the shooting experience. There are targets of various sizes and distances available, which makes it easy for shooters to practice at their own individual skill level. I wanted to buy a bow for my daughter. I drove to the shop and was told that they didn't carry Olympic recurve bows and I would have to call the owner the next day. Fair enough. I called the next day and they guy told me I HAD to order it in person. That the information over the phone was not enough for some reason. So I drove back to the shop and talked to owner (I believe). I gave him all the information (which again could have been over the phone). He said he'd research and get back to me. He never did. I understand if the shop specializes in compound bows, but at least be upfront and let me know you don't intend on closing the sale. Bought a groupon for my family to try something different. Upon arrival to our shoot time a man at the desk was assiting another customer told us he would be right with us. That never happend. A young woman came off the range to assist us in signing our wavers to shoot. Still standing there with no information as to what to do after signing the waver we continued to wait. Another family came in and the man proceeded to help them right away. Rude if you ask me. After watching a video we go back to shoot. About 30 mins into our 1 hour session people started comming instanding around in a closed range. With everything going on they did not follow social distancing guidelines. Great place to practice plus purchase archery supplies are a great price A few downfalls though. Went there this summer when it was 117' outside well it felt no different in the archery room. It was super hot in there. I had my own equipment and was there just practicing but many people there were just for the fun and not following safety guidelines. Looked to my right and there was a 7 year old child trying to put her arrow into her bow but it was facing directly in my direction. Staff wasn't present half the time so not correcting anyone. Great for fun but any serious archers should go super early when cooler and when no fun practice sessions. Plus please get either large fans or a better A/C system. read more

Wow! I had no idea there was an archery range in Las Vegas, but I am so glad I now know! Located conveniently on Dean Martin and the 215. Your GoogleMap should be able to direct you here with no problems. $13 per person for one hour of unlimited shooting arrows; that's including range fee ($8) and bow & arrows ($5). There are 20 "stations" and they can adjust the target's distance based on your needs. Even kids can come play. Charlie, the owner, suggested six and up, but he also said it all depends on the child's maturity. Highly recommended that you call to make a reservation because they do tend to be busy on the weekends. If you have never tried archery before, I suggest you wear long sleeves because you may get mild carpet-burn from the bow. It's not a big deal; just get good at it! One con side is that its ventilation system is a swamp cooler and not an actual air conditioner. I am sure it's perfectly comfortable in the spring, fall and winter. But it's pretty stuffy during the summer. This could be a great date night idea and/or a family outing. Don't let the swamp cooler thing deter you.
