If I could, I would give JOSH, Manager of this Store, *10 out of 5 Stars*. Firstly, he helped me through a very expensive, difficult, long and drawn out Custom Skate fitting issue with the Manufacturer. He went the extra mile and outright persevered tirelessly in his advocacy of me, the Customer, until all the issues were finally successfully resolved. It was obvious that he truly cared! Secondly, I had multiple opportunities to observe his interactions with both his Customers (both walk-ins and on the phone), as well as with his Staff... and in each and every interaction, without exception.. a total Class Act. Knowledgeable, Professional, Courteous, and Personable are all accurate words to describe him. I highly recommend both him, and his Store to all of you out there. read more

Unfortunately broke hockey stick Wednesday night playing in adult league. It was perfect time check out Pure Hockey. I been to the one in Anaheim few times in the past when Iceaholic use to play Anaheim Throwback tournament. Figure mix things up instead of going to normal spot get hockey sticks. Las Vegas store is lot more smaller then the one in Anaheim. The building in Anaheim more warehouse so have room for lot more stuff. Still small store decent amount of stuff. Also they online store so they look stuff up if not have it at the store. They have good variety of equipment choose from and nice mix high end to middle end products. The staff is five stars. I kind of knew stick looking for but gentlemen came up asking if needed help. He was helpful broke some stuff down. I found one that liked. The prices about the same as other hockey shops around Vegas. They have free rewards program. Not sure amount but my purchase next trip get $10 off. read more

This was my first visit, but it definitely won't be my last. Great store with a great selection of gear and team merch. Super friendly, and helpful staff. They had a very good selection of sale items as well and I ended up picking up a nice VGK jacket from the sale rack in addition to the purchase I came in for. If you play hockey and want real answers from staff who actually KNOW everything about the equipment they sell, forget big name stores -- Shop at the Penalty Box. Both times I shopped here for gear, I came out beaming like a kid on Christmas mornin'. These guys are the nicest, absolute gems in a sea of coal. Especially, Bret. I used to have to go to LA or Orange County to get new hockey gear. It wasn't cheap down there either, but for most gear I just can't shop online because I need the tactile experience for sports equipment. This store has a good selection and a knowledgeable staff. They take their time and are thoughtful in helping customers. The prices are also excellent. I got a pair of pretty high end skates and they were about $50 cheaper than they are online. This place was great! Been looking for a place in town to fit our 2 yr old son a pair of skates. Buying online is a hassle for this purchase. Came across them on Google and they are not far from us. Went to check them out and Matt helped us. He educated us on sizing, skate adjustments, blade switching and more. We didn't have our son on our first visit but we came back and the size he recommended us fit so well! Our son loves his skates. I love that they're not pushy with sales. We having been following all the hype about this place and finally went in to check it out ourselves. WOW! What an amazing experience we had! Both boys got skates and because the price was right they even fitted our little girl with some skates! They asked how many times a week they skate, measured their feet (each of my boys had two different sized feet!!), and found skates suited for them, baked and everything. We also got new hockey pants and Frank was super helpful trying on several different brands until my son got one that was the perfect fit! We will be back! read more

My son and I went into Pure Hockey this morning and let me tell you the service we received was OUTSTANDING! Shoutout to the guy who went above & beyond to help us today (I so wish I got his name) We had two guys help show me how his helmet should fit & what kind of protective padding to look for when looking for a new helmet. They fit a helmet to him, and tried to find a helmet in his size online since they didnt have his size. Unfortunately they didnt have the size online either but we bought a clear shield for his current helmet while there. They tightened all the screws on his current helmet for him, installed the new facemask and made sure it fit well before we left. The service we recieved was really a blessing for this momma who doesnt know anything about hockey gear! So THANK YOU!!! You were amazing with my son as well! read more

Frank, one of the owners, listened to my boys and analyzed their shots to get them the perfect sticks. Lifetime sharpening on purchased skates. I was in LV for my kid's hockey tournament over Thanksgiving weekend. On Thursday afternoon my kid's helmet was damaged. The next day, I went over to Penalty Box and was helped by Jameson and Matt. Awesome customer service. Matt fixed the helmet within three minutes and we were on our way. I drove 45 minutes to get to the Penalty Box Hockey Shop, and it was completely worth the drive out. The guys are incredibly knowledgeable on everything from helmets to laces, and they'll help you get fitted for everything you need to hit the ice. I got myself a helmet, and before I bought it they made sure it was the right fit for my head. They have a plenty of brands to choose from CCM, Bauer, and Warrior. Even got my inline skates heat molded to get the fit just right. I'll definitely be making the drive out again for the the amount of selection they have, and the great customer service. Haven't played hockey since I was younger and wanted a pair of skates and a stick to start skating around again and potentially join some type of rec league. Was a bit apprehensive considering I haven't been on skates in a while, but the employee that helped me (totally forgot his name unfortunately) was super helpful. He sized my feet and recommended a really comfortable pair of skates. I skated around the store chatted and took a few shots on the goal they had there. He also gave me a good recommendation for a stick and gloves, and didn't try to upsell me on things I didn't really need since I plan to just play around on the street for now.
