Quoted $125 for a super easy disconnector switch box installation and I had this done from another company at $30 same day service.

Beware of this PREDATORY SCAMMER! After reading all the…read moreglowing reviews, I let my guard down and thought this was a business I could trust. Don't be suckered like I allowed myself to be. Danny appeared very affable. I have 2 AC units at my home seated right next to each other that weren't cooling as well as they used to and asked for service. A previous technician may have overfilled both units for which some of the fluid might have had be drained. I was given a quote of $500 for the job which I actually thought was quite high, but it was hot and they were there so I agreed to it. He then said "You can leave now so you don't have to see all the work I'm going to have to do." It felt like somewhat of a dismissal and I thought that was a strange thing to say, but it was hot outside and I but paid it no mind at the time.. About 35 to 40 minutes later, they were done. There was no immediate change in cooling temperature, and Danny told me to leave the system running for the rest of the day and throughout the night and I'd see a difference in cooling performance by morning. When clarifying payment via Zelle for $500, I was told for the first time the cost was $500 for EACH AC unit which I'd have never agreed to... a bill of $1000 for 35 to 40 minutes for not much more than draining some fluid out of the system ( if they actually did so). I was completely caught off guard by this. Upon seeing my shock, Danny immediately offered to lower the price to $800 which temporarily assuaged me which I agreed to. All this transpired so fast and they quickly left. I thought about it for a few minutes more and realized that was part of the predatory pricing scam as he appeared plausibly reasonable to immediately offer to lower the price... but still ends up $300 above his original over-priced quote of $500 . Even then, a fee of $800 for a 35 to 40 minute job is at minimal $20 per minute! I quickly called Danny back to express my dissatisfaction about how the alleged pricing miscommunication had gone down. Danny's response was " I fixed 2 AC units for $800. I would call that a deal.. Not many guys would take the time to figure out someoneelse's mistake on a 25 year old unit". We then reached an agreement for a $100 dollar refund (which he did refund) bringing my costs down to $700 provided I leave positive reviews on google and yelp. I ran both units for the rest of the day and all through the night as instructed, yet by morning experienced no improvement in system cooling performance whatsoever! This especially alarmed me because not only could I not trust his integrity due to his bait & switch pricing scheme, now I could not trust the quality of his work, which threw the good google & yelp reviews deal out of the window for me. I then spoke with my next door neighbor who had the same issue with the same previous tech but had more had more problems, which his AC guy Chris serviced on both units for $250 (1/2 of what Danny originally quoted me). Chris didn't think things added up and said even if overfilled, that may not be the problem at all, but agreed to take a look at it. Upon his arrival, his first question was if Danny had checked the air filter( which he had not). Chris said if the units were running (like mine were) that's the absolute first thing which should've been checked for. Chris checked it and the filter was clogged and filthy. After installing a new filter from Home Depot (which cost $6.50), cooling performance immediately returned to where it had previously been as desired. That was the problem. Later that afternoon, Danny texted me saying "Just following up on the reviews". I then apprised him of all what had transpired and let him know I'd definitely be leaving reviews, but not the type he necessarily wanted. His response was both a classic ad hominem attack and a pathetic attempt to evade any responsibilty for his negligence. His response was "U are 1 shady dude! (the attack) You said the last guys serviced your system!! (the evasion) We did a lot to fix his over charging of the unit.(the attempt at justification) Go ahead and leave a bad review! (ill placed bravado) You got what you wanted and that was a huge discount!!! Congratulations!!!"(the self delusion). This reveals the character of exactly who you're dealing with in this company. Of course he'll deny all and call me a liar so I'll be sure post pics of his texts. This is a complete $700 loss for me that I'm chalking down to experience plus the service charge to Chris for unveiling Danny's moneygrabbing & incompetence. But I'm hoping someone else might learn from this. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Don't trust all the glowing reviews (they can be favors or bargained for) and get recommendations from those with personal knowledge of service providers! Do your own due diligence and sure to get at least 3 different quotes from competitors before allowing these people anywhere near your home or facilities!

He was able to diagnose a problem very quickly and within 15 minutes my house was nice and cool. Jay is extremely professional and I would recommend Jay and Wintri to anyone.

He replaced my filters, walked me through what caused the problem, and gave me some helpful advice (and a little lecture ) about maintenance and things I can do differently to help my system last longer. What I appreciated most was his honesty. He explained that he can get my AC fixed and running today, but because of the age and condition of the system, it would probably make more sense financially to start thinking about replacing it rather than continuing to put money into repairs. With three kids at home and this heat, getting our AC back up and running today was definitely important! Jay was kind, patient, never pushy, and made sure I understood all of my options. It's really nice dealing with someone who isn't just trying to sell you something. Great experience all around. Thank you, Jay!
