Came here on a Saturday at around 2pm. Besides the cute koi pond by the entrance the dining area was pretty dark, so reading a real book might be hard. All the normal staples were there, General Tso's & other chicken dishes, pepper steak, fried shrimp and those red boneless pork spare ribs but I am a huge fan of dumplings in general and they had them (not every buffet does). They had 2 kinds of wings, bbq and fried for folks into that. For seafood, beyond the shrimp & imitation crab dishes, other than calamari, and the shellfish in the cold bar I didn't notice or pay attention to any other seafood like crab legs or anything. Sushi is made to order, which honestly was pretty cool; guarantees you get what you want and is fresher than leaving them out all the time. I was slightly confused on the "custom orders cost extra" poster so I just got a couple salmon rolls which were pretty good. There didn't seem to be nigiri option but I was too hungry and didn't bother to investigate (I should do so the next time I'm here!). The grill was closed, maybe a dinner-only option or food prices are just too high now to have it? They were using the grill to fry their dumplings, which looked handmade. For vegetable options, they were few; the usual string beans, broccoli and the cheesy spinach were there. Plastic spoons used for soup and that felt wasteful.

Disgusting Bathrooms, my chicken is as yellow, there was hair in my garlic bread. Teacher Screaming

Overpriced. $35 for one person? OUTRAGEOUS! Not worth it at all. Don't waste your time or money.

The Sashimi roll however was a disappointment. For both of us we felt there was just too much sauce. We couldn't really taste the individual fishes. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Appetizers came out quickly and our entrees followed. The takoyaki was good with a little spicy kick to it. We tried the taco (octopus) salad and enjoyed the tartness of it. One dish we ordered was the Hibachi steak and scallops that was more like a meal with the noodles, fried rice and vegetables. Noodles were a little bland until I mixed it with the sauce covering the steak. Noticed that the scallops aren't the same size which would have been nice, but they tasted great. Took a photo of the dessert menu thinking we would get some dessert but between the appetizers and entrees we were full.

She is very passionate about the menu and is very attentive to everyone. Thankfully, as our food was served she was there to explain that the best way to experience the chef's creation is to eat it as it presented (without soy sauce) first. She went on to explain that each dish is created with specific textures and flavors in mind to create an intentional balanced bite. She is absolutely correct and I am so glad we listened. In fact, after trying the "second" bite with soy sauce, we recognized that it was much better without it. The soy sauce is homemade and delicious but the sushi is so perfectly executed, it really does not need anything at all to shine. This is not your average sushi joint. The food and service will blow you away. Get the Princess Peach Roll if it's available. The Tiger Roll and the Flame Touch were also fantastic. I got the filet mignon and chicken hibachi with fried rice, noodles, vegetables and shrimp, plus the teriyaki steak appetizer. I also swapped the salad for a second clear soup because the soup is THAT good. The filet is unbelievable. The chicken and shrimp were excellent, the fried rice and noodles were fantastic, and even the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The teriyaki steak appetizer is also absolutely worth getting. I've genuinely yet to have a single thing here that wasn't excellent. Portions are huge, the presentation is great, and the service has been ridiculously fast. My first visit I had two soups, an appetizer, and my entire entrée and was paying the bill within about 30-40 minutes. It was basically the perfect sit-down lunch: much better food than grabbing fast food, without turning lunch into a two-hour event. The restaurant itself has a really nice, relaxed atmosphere, and they also have the traditional hibachi tables if you want the full tableside experience. Came back again only 10 days after my first visit and ordered the exact same meal. That probably says more than anything else I could write. Easy 5/5. This place deserves way more attention.

We came on a Friday evening and it was full but they were able to find us a table quickly. Inside, the place has a very casual feel and I honestly wasn't sure what we were going to get when we ordered. Just to say, looks were deceiving, but in a good way! The food was at a different (better) level than the ambience in the room. Basically, don't worry about how the place looks - you will love the food. Our waitress was sooo nice and friendly. We got our drinks quickly and ordered right away. Though we came for sushi, we were all mesmerized by the entree options and opted to try the bento boxes. I'm used to small bento boxes with tightly portioned foods and the "basics." What we got surprised us all. These bento boxes were actually huge plates of food. A full order of vegetable tempura, a whole California roll, entree, soup and gyoza. We barely made it through a quarter of it! And it was delicious! I got the chicken teriyaki and the chicken was so tender. The tempura was fried perfectly and the gyoza had a great flavor. All in all, I recommend you try this place out! Is it a fancy date night place? No. Is it a super casual date night place? Yes! Try the bento - you won't be disappointed! 4/5 stars only because they should spruce up the inside to match their amazing food!

I was confused when I first checked the menu options on the website because literally every choice said 'unavailable.' To be fair, it was 10:42AM and they open at 11. However, this remained the case until closer to noon, at which point I was able to build my own bowl. Picking two proteins was easy but they don't really make it clear how many mix-ins and toppings you can have, so I probably shorted myself. Ultimately I chose salmon and tuna with white rice, carrots, cilantro, pickled ginger, and green onions. After placing my order I waited for the promised email, which never came. Finally, after about 20 min, I saw that my order was 'complete' and headed over, miraculously scoring a parking spot right in front. Once inside it was more confusion as there is no dedicated pickup area, Mom was in her own prep and chop mode, and Pop was focused solely on walk-in orders. But after managing to catch his attention I was on my merry way, with a somewhat underwhelming poke bowl, ONE napkin, and the offer of chopsticks (which I declined). A takeout bag would've been appreciated but was not provided. Back at home I surveyed the bowl before digging in. Everything was accounted for and the fish was good. The rice tasted like yesterday's leftovers, though, and I've never been served cilantro stems instead of leaves. Again, the bowl was fine; not the best poke I've ever had, but I'd be willing to give them a second chance and perhaps choose some different or additional fixings next time.
