Check around for costs before you schedule an appointment, especially if you don't have good dental insurance. I know they too need to make a living. I got a partial deep cleaning at their recommendation, and had a crown replaced. My insurance isn't very good at all. I did manage to get 20% off which brought my bill down to $2,400. I'm non-confrontational and just wanted to get my tooth repaired. If the price had come with gentleness and a comforting environment, the cost wouldn't have been as painful. I have been coming here for over ten years. This is an honest practice and they don't refuse you treatment or try to gouge you for what you can't afford. I need regular teeth cleaning and have a lot of experience with dental hygienists. I can tell you that Sade at Imperial Dental is amazing. This is a professional who really cares about her patients. Her work is impeccable, she is gentle and her bedside manner is lovely. I highly recommend you ask for her. Also, if you like a dentist who really takes the time to explain things to you, and doesn't rush through an exam, ask for Dr. Sylvers. I am revising my previous review. This office really doesn't care about your dental treatment. I was a patient for years. Then Covid-19 hit and seems like they decide to make sure you can't get a treatment. They used to have monthly payments to facilitate treatment and their dentists used to care. I returned to this office on January 2021 and they were all about starting 2 treatments - PAYMENT UP FRONT. Although I had the resources I was rather reluctant because seems like they were trying to force me a treatment I wasn't happy. They presented "cheaper" choices - not actually better options. I asked to send me an email of their plan of treatment in order to make a decision and after 5 phone calls - they still haven't emailed me (since January 2021). They really changed! I used to be confident about that office and even sent my neighbors and friends there before, now I would say to stay away from that office. read more

Great dental office. Dr. Roquiz is friendly and attentive with my 3 year old. He is empathetic and caring. He took time to explain each step and made her feel at ease. When I went in to get the crown fixed, they told me that my insurance would not pay again due to it being too soon, and they charged me $987, AND, they billed my insurance company. My insurance company paid them with my portion being $384. They refuse to refund the difference of $987-$384 which is $603 that they owe me. I am filling complaints everywhere that I can read more

Firstly, I don't think its proper to filter out all the positive reviews. There are many five stars. I have used Imperial for several years as has my family. I always received prompt professional work but finally became frustrated with the constant sell sell sell. A friend who became an Imperial fugitive recommended a Redlands Dentist. I had my insurance switch providers so I could get a 'second opinion'. Imperial asked for $25 to forward my records. This is against the law so don't pay it. I went to the other dentist yesterday but didn't divulge the treatment plan that Imperial recommended. After the exam, the dentist told me I had a couple minor cavities. Imperial had a treatment plan that, even with insurance, would have cost me over $3000, What I actually need costs me nothing. Glad I left and my family is going with me. read more

Last time I went in my appointment was for a "Teeth Cleaning" I had an appointment (time set aside). I have been so irritated with going to dentists where they just try to sell me stuff and tell me things that are wrong with my teeth that just do not make sense. I did not want to go here because of the reviews but I needed a cleaning so bad and they were my assigned dentist by insurance. I was SO pleased with my visit. Okay I stopped going to this place two years ago. My earlier post explains. now, when I went there the dentist of Indian (from India) background told me that I was getting the finest bridge material available. It was titanium and would never break. He said I was getting a $3000 bridge for the cost of my insurance. Aside from the fact that the temporary came off and I swallowed it, I assumed he was otherwise honest with me. Well, last week the bridge post broke in half all by itself! I assure you dear readers I did not chimp on a bone or jawbreaker because I know these can break with intense chewing of improper materials. NO!!!- this just broke clean in half. A careful inspection of the break shows a clear weakness in the material. I have never ever had a bridge break and I have had a few of these. NO, this was not titanium - this was the cheapest one they had. Titanium would not break without a great deal of pressure. Perhaps, the bridge was not placed properly. Frankly, it didn't look right because the angle of it didn't match the opposite side. I was however assured it was okay. WRONG AGAIN! The damn thing lasted less than two years - so it was the poorest produce, nit the best obviously. I wil replace it because I can't go around looking like a professional fighter, but I am an attorney and will be suing these people big time. I would strongly recommend staying away from this place under all circumstances!!!!!!!!!!! I also plan on reporting these people on every complaint site I can so others know of their practices. read more

I had an impacted wisdom tooth that desperately needed to come out. I called on a Sunday, when no dentist office is open, and there was someone who picked up the line! I was able to schedule an appointment for the following afternoon, which made me very happy. I went into the office a few minutes before my appointment to make sure I had time to have questions answered, sign paperwork, etc. Despite this effort, I still was not admitted until ten minutes after my appointment time. Once I was escorted back, things progressed smoothly. I had my initial scans done quickly, and I got to talk with the doctors about what I could expect from my procedure. I had my tooth taken out, and I was sent home with a prescription for pain meds. All in all, a satisfactory experience. read more

I came her for an emergency dental situation. They had an opening for me to come in the next day. I was super nervous but staff was kind and reassuring. The dentist I saw helped calm my nerves, showed me what was going on and put me at ease. Besides the one front office lady that was a little curt, the other office staff was kind and friendly. : In 2016 I took my daughter to this dental office they told me she needed 5 root canals and that it needed to be done asap. I didn't think my 10 year old needed that much work done on her mouth and I took her for a second opinion. She got an award at her new dentist for having no cavities! This made me wonder, has this happened before? I had 7 teeth pulled years ago at this dentist and I wonder if that was necessary? So I went and made an appointment and sure enough they wanted tok pull 2 more of my teeth after doing a root canal. I went to have a second opinion the next day and I only needed a fill and a cap. The porcelain tooth that Imperial Dental had put on years before was not put on correctly. I had the new dentist call for my daughter's records and they were told the records were lost, I called and was told the same. I brought this up with imperial and they told me different dentists diagnose differently. Well 5 root canals on a 10 year old with no cavities seems very different to me! I started to ask around and my mother had had a similar experience and now has a new dentist. I posted on FB and one story after another about insurance fraud and false diagnoses poured in. I don't know if what they are doing is illegal or just morally wrong but it needs to stop! Putting a child through that much pain and suffering for no reason?! Who would do that!? read more

Just got a $10,800 quote for three teeth that went bad (and that's with insurance). I don't know how dentists can give you a figure like that with a straight face. Stay away from this Dental office, I repeat stay away! The dentists are inexperienced, they overbook patients and over charge them for unneeded work. They must all work on commission. They want to rush to start procedures same day. You will be there many hours and many more visits to finish the job. It took 8 appointments for the dentist to finally get my crowns to fit properly. I chose this dental office because they have weekend appts and was told by a friend how great they were. My first appt went well. Dr made recommendations on what he feels I needed and I agreed. My second appt was to try the impressions he took on the first visit. It was a 5:30 appt which means I would have to make special arrangements to leave work early and rush to the dental office to make it on time. At 5:45 pm they called me and told me my impressions did not come in and they will call me when they do come in. Well, it has been 5 days now and I have heard nothing from them. I paid cash in the amount of 1300.00 which was my share after my insurance portion of the bill. I want my money back and take it to a different dental office that is more dependable more considerate, and organized than this one is. I would not recommend this dental office to anyone. I called (even used the emergency phone posted on website) in great pain last Thursday. Upper left molar, the one recently put on by your dentist ( 2times actually, since it didn't stay on for more than a few week) was infected. Infection was moving quickly from tooth up into the cheek below cheek bone. I was told no dentist on duty Thursday & refused to come in, closed Friday-Sunday. No emergency plan available. First appointment was Monday morning. Ridiculous!! By then infection & swelling would have spread through entire side of face. Possible life-threatening septic. Found another dentist right across the street that cared about providing emergency care. He saw me that afternoon. Sunday: Infection now under control & swelling is greatly reduced. Has even checked up on me by phone/text over weekend. I will NOT BE ATTENDING THE MONDAY MORNING APPOINTMENT. You have lost me as a patient. read more

I just moved to Yucaipa a few months ago and was looking for a new dentist. This one is close to home so I thought I would give them a try. I schedule an appointment for a cleaning and during that visit they tell me that I need a crown. They also recommend that I get a deep cleaning done which is not covered by my dental insurance and that I come in every 4 months for a cleaning instead of every 6 months. I have been consistently going to the dentist since I was a child and even throughout the pandemic was regularly getting my teeth cleaning so this all seemed a bit much. I proceed with getting the crown that day and have to return at the end of the month for a permanent crown. The entire thing with dental insurance cost over $1800. I pay everything at my last visit and I am told that my balance with this dental office is settled. Lo and behold, I return home from vacation and find a bill in the mail from them that I still owe $163. The included invoice does not specify what I owe them for as it only lists "professional services". I called to speak with them and let them know how upset I was after the fact to get a bill from them. They had little to say to rectify the situation. So I cancelled my future appointments and I will not be going there any further. Do not waste your time and energy on this business. read more

Dr. Leng is very friendly along with the rest of the staff at Imperial Dental. I have had two visits over the last six months (not including cleanings) that have lasted hours. My first visit I was there for six and the second I was there for three. Although the staff is very friendly, I wouldn't recommend going unless you have half a day to spare. read more

I broke a tooth on Easter Sunday and Imperial was able to accommodate my insane work schedule. I was seen on the same day I called and we determined a crown was my best option. Normally in this office, crowns can be made and fitted in few hours however their machine was broken down and I had to wait three weeks with a temporary in place before I was able to get my permanent. Although some of the delay can be attributed to my schedule the Dentist offered me complementary whitening trays as consolation. Most of the negative reviews here on Yelp involve "up selling." I have to say this was not my experience. I was presented with deferent options, some more expensive than others but I never felt pressured into spending more. Sometimes you get what you pay for and when it comes to dental care this is true, especially for someone like me who takes really good care of their teeth yet can't seem to avoid problems. My question is why wouldn't you want the best care you can get? All in all, it was a positive experience. Everyone was friendly, helpful and really seemed to enjoy working there. They did an excellent job working around my schedule, dealing with the insurance company and explaining my treatment options. I will continue to seek treatment here. read more
