If you're organized and on top of things, you'll be OK. Two days prior to my event, another rental company sent me a reminder about my event (like a "do you want to confirm your booking?") which reminded me that I had not heard from Imperial, where I had a signed agreement and paid a deposit. When I asked Imperial about a delivery ETA, I wasn't on the schedule because I hadn't paid my balance -- which, OK, I had missed or forgotten that the balance was due prior to the event... but you're not going to send a request for the balance before taking me off the delivery list? So I took care of the balance, and got a delivery window. Items were scheduled for delivery the day prior to my event. After my balance was paid, I got a phone call that the umbrellas I ordered were not available in the color I requested (off-white). I was given the option of switching color or switching to a bigger size. I have limited space, so bigger size wasn't ideal. I asked about knocking it down from 3 to 2 umbrellas, so I wouldn't be overwhelmed with tan canvas, but they would not do that. When the delivery arrived, one of the tables was the wrong height -- cocktail height, which I didn't have seating for. They had to leave and returned at the end of the day to fix it. Incidentally, when I declined to sign the receipt because I didn't have my order in full, the guy kind of made a snide remark. Eventually they returned with the right table stand. One of the 28 chairs I rented was broken. The "fuchsia" table cloth is closer to pink. The tan umbrellas were fine. It all turned out fine -- I just feel like I had to work for it. read more

I contacted the company to request a quote for a specific number of tables and chairs. In my initial message, those were the only items listed that I needed. They followed up asking about the table size and whether I needed tablecloths, and I confirmed the size of the table I needed. They later called to gather my contact information to send the quote, and it included items I did not confirm. All I requested was 6 six-foot tables and 25 chairs. The quote totaled $456 and included: * 6 six-foot tables * 25 resin chairs (never specified or confirmed--this was assumed) * Tablecloths (not requested) * A $185 delivery charge to Hyde Park in Los Angeles (they're located 6 miles away) * A $15 fuel surcharge???! * A $13.30 credit card fee??! Price is fair in comparison to some other quotes that I got, but unfortunately it was not easy to work with them. Their email was convoluted, and when it came to needing help, the girl on the phone just seemed so angry all the time. Time frames were off, and communication between the office and the delivery drivers were not on the same page. What was already a crazy event day was even more stressful cause I kept having to follow up before and after the event. Rented tables and chairs with them for our Thanksgiving dinner 2023. Working with them was quick and easy, they are unbelievably responsive online and via email. We opted to pick up our tables, which was easier and a little more cost effective. The process of picking up and returning was easy, they have helpful people available to speed up the load-in and load-out process. Their tables were definitely not in the best shape, but once you put a table cloth over them, you couldn't tell the difference. I will use Imperial again for future rental needs. read more

Yesterday we had a bit of a crisis as our rental vendor (different company) went MIA the day of the party. I called Imperial Party Rentals in a panic asking if they could get items to us within the next hour or two. The woman on the phone was so accommodating and I could tell she jumped through hoops to make it possible! Just as they were about to send someone out to deliver, our original vendor ended up getting back to us saying they were on their way so we did not go through with the new order after all. I have a catering business and I was recommended this company from a friend of mine for a 200 person fine dining event. Upon placing my order for plates and utensils they charged me a $50 separate fee from the rental fee just to put the order in crates. Once I picked up and got everything to my event my order count was shorted which made me look bad to my clients and resulted in me needing to use plastic utensils. After cleaning, sanitizing and repacking everything when I returned the order they said my plates smelled like food which they did not. They ended up charging me a $50 cleaning fee and $50 for the 9 utensils that were never given to me. read more

The delivery people are very rude - party's are supposed to be fun but these guys ruined it. Also equipment is ancient and delivery will up charge so read fine print. Bid prices don't reflect final charges after delivery so probably cheaper with anyone else. read more

We used Imperial for the rentals for a wedding reception. We rented tables and chairs, napkins, trash cans, plates and tableware for 100 guests. The pandemic has taken a toll on this company. The ladies in the front office were overwhelmed and difficult to get focused when discussing our needs because the phones kept ringing with problems. Once we got their attention things went smoothly but a lot of their inventory looks the worse for wear and things are out of stock. The prices were reasonable and the workers who brought the items and set them up were thoughtful and patient. We had an outdoor event and the temperature was 100, but they worked tirelessly to get everything in its proper place and to let me count the items to be sure we had the correct amounts- (and we were short a few plates, and forks) They were prompt and efficient with the pickup as well. BUT..... I am giving the company only 3 stars because there were rat droppings in the silverware and some of the plates were stuck together with old food. We ran the plates and silverware for 100 people through the dishwasher at the highest temperature to sanitize everything since we did not feel comfortable using them with our guests! This took about 6 hours to accomplish and really affected our set up timeline. While I guess this could happen with any company, I would not feel comfortable using them again because I would not be able to count on the cleanliness protocols. My take away...Use my own stuff, its hard to store, but at least I know were its been! read more

I needed to pull off a last minute event and Maricela and Audrey were great helping me out. In addition to the late notice, the event was ever changing, with what we needed and number of guests. That was not a problem for them. Even the delivery team of Arbi and Carlos were extremely helpful, and efficient. I was really hoping to have a good experience with this company after reading some negative reviews on Yelp. We gave them the benefit of the doubt as one usually should... My company rented about 100 chairs and a red carpet from here for a very special red carpet event. I didn't personally pick up the carpet since we had a lot of pickups and drop-offs this evening. Our carpet came rolled up with tape so no one thought to check it and unfortunately as soon as we set it up at our venue, it came with two really gross, bleachy-looking stains. Huge letdown. We emailed the company twice -- an hour after pickup and the following Monday and they completely ignored us. Didn't offer any discounts or even an apology. Left on read. We would've kept renting from this business if we were at least acknowledged. Everyone makes mistakes but this is just a bit insulting. Huge bummer. read more

I was so pleased with imperial party rentals. Now he was my rep order ready but the staff was just exceptional. I had made my order two weeks ago but could not figure out how to fill out the online application so I ended up just going the day of my vet and they still had my order for me. I really appreciated this because I had not put down a deposit. When I return the items I had to call because the return cut off Time is at 2 o'clock however when I let the staff know that I was on the freeway they actually waited for me so I was able to return my items without paying for additional days. I was about an hour late returning the items but the staff was very pleasant and actually help me take the items out of my car. read more

This was by far the worst rental experience I've had. We rented chairs from them multiple times and their lack of communication is ridiculous. There were multiple times where the lack of communication caused hiccups in pick up and delivery, and it was always blamed on me. Their disorganization led to double charges, double orders, etc. 10/10 do not recommend using them, especially repeatedly. I will give one star for the delivery truck drivers, because they are always really friendly. read more

If I could give a place zero stars, or negative stars as I would. I've never written a review on yelp before, but my experience with this company is so bad that I need to share my experience. First of all, they severely overcharged me, and then charge me extra on top of the delivery fee. $150 for 50 chairs, then $150 for the delivery, then another $200 for a "rush" delivery. So I have basically paid $350 just in delivery fees for 50 chairs. Then when the chairs were delivered, they just left them unfolded in a corner stacked up. After I was told by the company that they would be setting it up. The was told after business hours, that they would be coming to pick up the chairs the next day with an undefined window of time, also telling us that we're unable to contact them because they're closed. People don't have all day to be sitting and waiting around, waiting at the mercy of win the pick up route will come their way, by a company that isn't even open for communication the day that it's supposed to get picked up. The email says hey we're coming by, not sure when, but don't contact us because we won't respond. What kind of business practice is that??? Either way, I basically paid over $500 for 50 chairs, over charge for delivery, just for me to have to set the chairs up and was told that it was going to be set up for me with a super high delivery costs, then threaten to get charged another day if I didn't sit around the entire day waiting for when the pick up people were going to magically show up in their undefined window of time. I highly suggest going with another company as I've heard nothing but bad things after I had use this company and talked to others about their experiences before. More people need to talk about businesses that do bad business practices. I usually don't go out my way to be negative, but my experience was so bad that I needed to share it here with all of you. read more

Not sure what happened with my order yesterday, but linens arrived in different unmatching shades, one stained and faded. Looked terrible on our table set up. Also, we didn't have enough and they were the wrong length. Anyway, we called Imperial in a panic and although they were closing in 5 minutes, Audrey came to our rescue. She rushed across town and brought us fresh matching linens that looked great, helped us get set up, and was super nice about the whole thing. When she showed up carrying those linens in her arms it was like Wonder Woman had arrived. Thank you for saving our event. Everything was perfect and ready to start this morning. The bottom line is they offer very lazy service. When you are placing the order everything is nice, but once they get your money it's the worst. They don't provide any type of string to secure items if you have to pick up and are very slow. It was a hassle to rent from them and I incurred 2 days of travel dealing with them just to pick up. Products and prices are decent, but I will never deal with this company again. They only need about half a star. read more

Can't even get a quote because ever 2 seconds she puts me on hold to answer the other line. I get that they may be busy but COME ON!!! She put me on hold 3 times every 2 seconds. First off let me start by saying that I was emailing Audrey, Marciela, & Sarah almost everyday asking to add items, remove items or just asking for quotes and prices on items, I know that I was a pain in the butt! These ladies were so incredibly helpful and extremely nice when I called. I was so grateful that I was recommended to use imperial party rentals by our venue host and I would recommend for anybody to use them too. Their customer service, prompt replies and delivery team are second to none. My wife and I were so impressed with their professionalism, promptness and prices that we would absolutely recommend them to anybody looking to rent tables, chairs and items for any event. I am torn. Well, don't tell them, or they will charge me extra. I have some + and - PLUS SIDE: In comparison, Imperial Party Rentals seemed to have the lowest prices overall for all of our needs: specifically, chair pads, tablecloths, linens, silverware, glassware, champagne buckets, bucket stand, serving trays, light up table with stools, coffeepot, tubs, trash cans, beverage dispenser, cake tray, and dance floor. PLUS SIDE: The staff were friendly and helpful, with no hard sell at all. PLUS SIDE: 5% cash discount and itemized receipts. PLUS SIDE: Unlike many others, the price list is easily accessible, and their services are all on display in a cozy showroom, so it is pretty simple. The street is a side street, so parking right in front of their place to load is not a problem- if not blocked by their own truck, you can even back up your truck. For the above reasons, this place is FIVE STAR and worth your business...but... The three downsides that rubbed me the wrong way- things you can avoid: 1) The day before our ceremony, we loaded all of the stuff they had put aside a huge pile for us. They helped us load (an unexpected bonus), handed us a receipt to sign, and then we left. Upon getting home, we left everything packed up in our vehicles in the garage. The next day, just five hours before the wedding, I got a call saying, "I don't know what happened, but you didn't pick up the chair pads." OK. I get that we are responsible for signing off that we had everything, BUT that would have been a painstaking task due to the volume of stuff and the fact that everything was packed up. And I get I shouldn't have assumed that they were checking off stuff as we loaded. BUT, we took everything that was set aside for us, which means the chair pads were NOT set aside for us but listed on the receipt. SOOOO that sucked. They are a 45 minute drive from me, so that was inconvenient, and they would not deliver them without charging. I am not saying don't use Imperial: I am saying to make sure you have everything because THEY WILL NOT. 2) I returned everything. Because I was only one glass short (a SHOCK to them- apparently stuff gets broken, lost, or forgotten often), they let it slide. Cool. But then she asked for the white box that contained a light fixture. Apparently I had returned the light fixture in a different box. I had no clue. She said it said, "SAVE BOX". Then I flashed back to the wedding, unloading the boxes from the car, and seeing a box that said, "DAVE BOX", assuming it my soon to be father-in-law Dave's box. I told them that story, and they said, "NO, it says Save Box". It was a plain thin cardboard box the size of a cake box, with no label. I offered to pay for a new box rather than drive 45 minutes back (on my honeymoon), but they insisted my return was INCOMPLETE without that box. My wife had to drive the 45 minutes out of the way to return the box that clearly said, "DAVE BOX". Clearly. Maybe Ds and Ss are exchangeable in Arabic, but not in English. That was a load of bulldhit! 3) I rented 12 tubs. First of all, I thought they would all look the same: uniform with the one of display, but I got two different size metal tubs and 4 plastic ones. That sucked. I was told that one wasn't waterproof, and it was thrown in for free. Well, as it turns out, NONE of the metal tubs I rented were waterproof. Within minutes of filling them with ice (just 90 minutes before the wedding) they were leaking all over the floor. Instead of keeping them indoors, I had to keep my drink tubs outside on the patio, where there was a constant puddle and soaked tablecloth. David Tutera would have shat out a tampon! OK, so those three things pissed me off- they certainly don't think the customer is always right. The customer is always wrong here. But considering the ease and prices, I might consider using them again my next wedding. Just make sure you have everything, make sure you return everything, and avoid the metal tubs or insist on filling them with water there. If they don't have water handy, use the tears of past customers. If you are looking to save money with straightforward pricing and product display, cash discounts go here. If you want everything to be perfect, dave yourself the trip. read more

We ordered furniture here for an outdoor wedding for only 14 people in West Hollywood. We used our own plates and dinnerware, decorations, etc, but we ordered 4 tables and 14 chairs. I placed my order through a series of emails and was scanned a contract, which I filled out and scanned back. That's how I like to do business, easy and with as little human interaction as possible. Everything is on their website for viewing and pricing. While looking at several other furniture rentals in town I found this one was the best deal and easiest to deal with. I hated other company's websites that you had to request pricing, hint it's overpriced and you have to wait forever for them to return your email with pricing. Also, most every quote is for 24 hours. As we were having a Saturday night wedding, we would need the tables late into the nightlong after the delivery people would have picked up the tables. They were so kind as to drop the tables off Friday and pick them up Sunday morning at the 24-hour rate. We were not going to be home for delivery so we left the back gate open and they dropped everything off and pick it all back up. If you want to save on delivery you can do the set up and take down yourself so all they have to do is drop it off and pick it up. We also ordered white table clothes and the one tablecloth we were sent was not the right size so the day of the wedding they were kind enough to come back with the correct size. Based on the way they handled the table cloth and the ease of dealing with them, I'd use them again in a heartbeat, let's just hope it's not for another wedding of mine ;) read more

Ordering is super easy, everyone knows what they are talking about and there was no confusion about what I was asking for. 5 stars for customer service. I rented out some tables, the chiavari chairs, glassware, napkins and plates. The chairs are a bit banged up and need paint touch ups but still look good, the plates looked dirty but were just stained and the only thing they got wrong was the table cloths because I asked for half length but got full length it still looked nice though. Water glasses and wine glasses are very nice. You have to ask for setup, in my experience they did not offer that and I had to set up it my self but I honestly preferred it that way anyways. I called at opening 48 hours in advance of my event and was billed the entire amount citing their 24 hour cancellation policy. They refused to help us when our event was cancelled on the day of. Waited over an hour in the office for our tables. The tables were in bad condition, not noted on their website. CLIENT BEWARE! This business is one of the most dishonest I have had the displeasure of dealing with. I wrote to them on a Saturday requesting tent rentals that were clear in color. They send me a quote and I send some questions back. Radio silence. I call the following Monday at 11am, they are closed Sundays. The rental agent, Maricela, was very curt towards me and said she would answer my email when she gets to it, and could not answer my questions on the phone. 4+ hours later and still no answer. I call again and am told by the same agent that it's not her fault and she's waiting on their "Tent Manager" to answer her questions while also iterating that they are a small company. I'm not sure what small companies have such issue talking within their confines to each other like this one has. THE NEXT DAY now I receive an email that they don't have clear tents anymore and rented them to someone else and now there's a new quote for tents I did not ask for. Having wasted 3 days of my time now thinking I was securing clear tents their Manager Audrey chimes in to tell me that they actually don't carry tents at all due to a fire and would be sub renting them and that they still would not be clear. 3 DAYS OF LIES. Just be upfront and STOP WASTING PEOPLES TIME. Get your stuff together folks. Obviously I will never use their services and highly advise anyone doing business with them to check other vendors that are actually honest to the clients. read more
