    Stir fry and specials

Located in the Miracle Marketplace in Coral Gables, Florida, Imperial Tea is a combination of a full service boba/milk tea shop with a fusion Asian restaurant specializing in noodles. My wife and I were craving Chinese food and Imperial Tea was the highest rated restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. Service was friendly for dine-in, and the decent amount of food given was tasty and filling. It's a Chinese menu, with a few dishes from Korea, Japan, and Thailand thrown in. Once you enter, the server at the register asks if it is for dine-in or carry-out. If dine-in, you would be escorted to a table. Warm glasses were brought without being asked, and our order was taken soon after. Stir-fryed Udon with Chicken ($14.99) - It was good, well executed with a tasty sauce. Worth it if you really like thick wheat noodles, with a little bit of vegetables. The chicken can be add-on to any dish and are the breast strips that can be commonly sourced as frozen that many restaurants use. Pad Thai with Shrimp ($15.99) - I was surprised how much I enjoyed this dish, considering where I was getting it from. It's the only Thai-based dish on the menu (not a good sign), but it's clear that the chef behind the scenes knows how to prepare noodle dishes. The noodles were prepared well, didn't get clumpy, with the right amount of sauce and crushed peanuts. Each bite was really good. Egg Drop Soup ($8.99) - only offered in a large size, it was plenty for two people. The chicken broth was good with plenty of egg, expertly spun (no large chunks). And they hadn't too much corn starch to make it too gummy or thick. Service was attentive throughout, and we paid the bill right at the table.

Will return An odd place for a Chinese restaurant: Hooters, Dollar Tree, Pizza Hut ... Google maps directed us into Webb Dixie parking lot. When we finally find it, I was taken back at its appearance: t's vacant and looks like take out place, or canteen. We went in because we didn't have time to look. What a surprise: we liked both dishes: spicy beef 水煮牛 and mapo tofu 麻婆豆腐. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although they've beers in the fridge but they couldn't serve because their liquor license lapsed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Oh well. Food deserves 4 star Service 4 Decor 2 -:) It was empty when we arrived and was empty when we leave. Hanging there, we'll come back again.

Such an unassuming place in a random mall on coral way wildly exceeding expectations. We came to fix a boba craving and left big fans of imperial tea and their delicious food! Everything is reasonably priced and everything we ate was delicious. Entree, app, and boba drink came out to $30ish. This was enough food for two people to feel satisfied. I highly recommend you try the crispy tofu. It was one of many good vegetarian options but even if you eat meat it's just good! The taro snow was basically a boba frappe and was well worth a try. I've been here for boba before and it's great for that. But I'm glad I now know what a great food spot it is. The variety is wonderful and it's the perfect place when you're craving pretty much any kind of Asian food!

I never had high expectations for Asian food in Miami. But in all honesty Imperial Tea doesn't deserve to be judged by those expectaciones. Their food is really really good in its own right. The Korean cheese noodle is like nothing I've tried before and so flavorful. The tofu app is also delicious and comes with a great sauce for dipping. And the teas are also some of the best in Miami. It's in a small outdoor mall and has a very assuming storefront and interior but this place is definitely a must try for Asian food. The waiters were also quick and friendly and the prices were so reasonable. Finally! Do not miss this Miami hidden gem

Mango Green Tea w/ Honey Boba (+$1)

After dinner, I was thirsty and having a pretty tea-rible hankering for boba. It was quite horrendous timing since it was pretty late at night, and all the limited boba options around me were mostly closed. Thankfully Imperial Tea saved the day as they were still taking orders through UberEats. Additionally, they had a REALLY great deal on UberEats for BOGO on the Mango Green Tea, so obviously I had to get two. The boba toppings were charged at a premium of $1. But given the fact that the drink was only priced at $4, it was still a great deal! When the drinks arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of boba provided in both drinks. However, the boba balls themselves were slightly on the firmer side, and the tea did not taste like it was good quality tea. This might be attributed to the fact that my hotel was 7 miles away, so it took a bit of time for the driver to deliver my order. And the fact that it was end of day, so I probably got the leftover batch. Would love to try out some of the food items on my next visit. And will definitely order earlier in the day see if that makes a difference.

The place is located in the plaza in Coral Way. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I didn't really like the boba - it was too watery for me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I got a lychee slush and i barely tasted anything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do serve other food, but I didn't get a chance to try it. The ambience and service is okay.

    Beef Kimiche
    Felix F.

The food was soso to okay. Even though the dish was spicy and the flavor of the Kimiche is known. The beef was lacking flavor. It looked like there was no seasoning on the steak. Regarding service felt like the person freaks out a little when asked questions, on deals and promotions, to the point where is not very helpful at all and leading towards discouragement of even asking more questions. Thr feel of the place even thought they play Latin music in a Chinese restaurant it dose not feel alive or welcoming at all. Also, on there take out menus when ordering in the restaurant make sure to ask to have your menu punch/stamped. When you get ten of these your 11th or 10th order will be 10% discount. If you do not tell them before ordering they will not punch/stamp your order.

Imperial tea is conveniently located in a shopping center in Coral Gables, perfect if you need a refreshing drink or snack while shopping. I tried a taro bobba tea, it was not too sweet & so refreshing... looking forward to visiting soon!

JAPANESE FRIED UDON with chicken. Green Milk Tea with boba
    Shaheen E.

Was leaving petsmart when it started raining, so I thought I'd check this place out until the rain stopped. When I first walked in, I couldn't really tell the vibe. There was a refrigerated drink area on the side, plus a bunch of tables with plates on them. So one end I got a fast food vibe, on the other I got a sit-down and be served by a waiter vibe. Ended up being the latter, a casual sit-down setting! They seem to have a popular pick-up/take-out service. The food was surprisingly great. I got the fried udon noodles with chicken, and a green mill tea + boba with no sugar and light ice. The udon noodles were possibly the best I've ever had, granted I've only had udon noodles on a handful of occasions. The noodles were soft, the sauce was excellent, and the chicken wasnt rubbery or squishy like other places -- it was actually decent quality chicken! I added chili oil to my food and honestly this just made it 10/10. The veggies inside (scallions, bok choi, onions, carrot) were cooked very well and added great flavor and crunch to the soft noodles. The green tea with honey boba was good. No complaints. If you love a lot of milk, mine seemed like it couldve used a bit more milk on the outside, but it tasted great for me. I also like my coffee and tea's with minimal milk/cream/sugar, so maybe I'm not the best judge of it. The service was great! Never had a moment where I felt like I was waiting, despite the workers balancing food/tea preparation + take-out + me. Will definitely come again and try some other dishes.

Dessert had me skeptical going in, but the white chocolate parfait won me over completely .. strawberries, calpico, white chocolate, basically a grown up pavlova. Service matched the food..attentive, knowledgeable, clearly there for the craft and not the clout. A collab done right. 10/10, would chase down every future one no questions asked

One thing that was particularly disappointing was what happened after our visit. I reached out to the restaurant through social media to share our concerns and was told that someone would be contacting me directly. After weeks passed without any response, I followed up multiple times myself, yet I still never heard from anyone. That lack of communication was just as disappointing as some of the issues we experienced during dinner. Our evening began with a poorly situated table. The restaurant's air conditioning was apparently not working, and a portable AC unit had been placed in the corridor, blowing directly onto our table throughout the meal. We politely requested another table, but our request was declined, despite several empty tables remaining available for the entirety of our 90-minute reservation. What made this even more frustrating was seeing another party of two, who were seated after us, moved to a quieter, more secluded table away from the draft. The appetizers were excellent and set a promising tone for the meal. Unfortunately, the timing of the main courses was a significant issue. My husband's fish arrived well before my steak, and despite intentionally waiting, his meal became cold. He ultimately finished his entire entrée before mine was ever served. We even asked our server if there had been any confusion with the courses, but the delay remained unexplained. The pacing of table service could also be improved. My husband and I both work in hospitality, so we may notice these details more than the average guest, but there were multiple occasions where empty plates remained on our table for an extended period. By the time guests feel the need to stack dishes themselves just to create space, it's usually a sign that clearing has been delayed too long. The table itself also felt quite cramped. There was no practical place to store personal belongings, so I ended up holding my purse on my lap for the entire dinner. As for the food, there were several highlights. The wontons were spectacular, and the broth was exceptional. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The quality of the steak was excellent, although it felt like it could have benefited from an accompanying side. The portion of hollandaise (or mayonnaise-based sauce) was quite generous relative to the size of the steak. My husband's fish was light, fresh, and paired beautifully with the tender farro. The wine selection was decent and offered value compared with similarly priced wine lists elsewhere. The staff were friendly and pleasant throughout the evening, even though we were disappointed that our seating concerns could not be accommodated. One additional area for improvement: when we asked about purchasing a bottle of wine, our server initially assumed my husband wanted a single glass. While this was a minor misunderstanding, asking a brief clarifying question before placing the order would help avoid confusion. Overall, there is clearly talented people in both the kitchen and front-of-house team, and the quality of the food demonstrates that. However, inconsistent service, poor course timing, the lack of flexibility with seating, and the complete absence of follow-up after management indicated they would reach out ultimately left us disappointed.

The roll itself had this nice crunchy spring mix style greens that reminded me of krouv or vinnegared cabbage salad that my aunt would make , when she used to prepare good food before she started following insta chefs like bruhama? Ruhama?. The fish in this roll is some sort of cooked fish , it tastes like mackerel or smoked fish dip. The tropical flavors on this roll barely come through and remind me of kids fruit snack cups. The Sushi Pizza came lukewarm , I wasn't sure if I was supposed to heat it or if the cheese was just supposed to be melted . The texture of the whole thing was melty and gross , it reminded me of some sort of gastronomic experiment that a kid would make high in a home ec class or Munchiez sandwich shop near f.a.u though their food is better. . It could go somewhere and the melted mozzarella? was nice though it felt like a failed experiment . The rice that held it together like a sandwich was too soggy in sauce and tasted like a rock , unlike the perfect crispy rice at Miso Japanese Tapas in Fort Lauderdale . The sushi was again some sort of cooked fish salad . I tried to convince myself to enjoy it, I guess its a grade above publix sushi. I didn't bother adding soy sauce as it didn't enhance the flavor as the sushi was cooked . The miso soup was oddly terrific. It came in a very large container and felt completely authentic and nourishing, I felt like a nee person after drinking it . The broth was thick and creamy and must have been cooking for days . It had little shiitake mushrooms floating in it which was cute . Not my favorite mushroom , its a little too dried and wood chipy for me though I enjoyed the extra protein and noodles.
