The very careless team took the ring down to the basement, out of my sight and possession, where they do all the jewelry work, only to inform me that the diamond had a massive chip in it. I was told to lie to my fiancé about it so that she wouldn't be upset. LIE TO MY NEW FIANCE ABOUT THE $28,000 RING I JUST BAUGHT HER?! Maybe they are fine with lying at Molina/Black, Starr & Frost - I'm not. Devasted by the news, we were told that everything was our fault, after taking immaculate care of the diamond and again, only wearing the ring for TWO WEEKS! Mr. Molina refused to accept a return of the diamond, replace the diamond, or offer any sort of warranty whatsoever. The only "solution" he provided was to reduce the diamond by 20% - wonderful! Will you reduce the cost of the flawed diamond by 20% as well? Now we are in an insurance hell and my fiancé has been crying about it since we left. She made an additional recommendation for a small halo of diamonds to be put around the sapphire. It absolutely made my ring sing and was perfectly executed!
