Bruce and the mechanics here really came through for me. I had got an oil change at Valvoline and they had screwed my oil cap onto too tight which essentially made oil explode all over the place. I had to have a lot of work done due to the damages that followed. It's crazy to think how much damage can come from something so simple. Instead of taking advantage of the situation, Bruce and his team made sure they were thorough with every step and making sure the job was done right. My Jaguar was serviced here for a span of 2 years, spending over $15k and receiving excellent customer service from Bruce. Bruce suddenly left and was replaced by "Alvaro". Alvaro was difficult to communicate with & impossible to level with, as I was hoping to at least leave on a good note. I experienced him to be belligerent, argumentative and would default to bickering; a nightmare customer service experience. I called a few times over a few months thinking there might be someone else to talk with or that maybe he was just having a bad day, but my experience with him was consistent. It turns out he's the only point of contact except for receptionist Evelyn who only takes messages. Apparently the owner does not talk directly with clients. It's surprising that he would have somebody like Alvaro representing his business, chasing away solid clients like me. I retracted my recommendations to anybody who I've referred to this place and will be sure to share my atrociously negative experience. Something has become terribly wrong here and I suggest running the other way from this establishment. read more

When the service light came on, I tried to reach my regular mechanic for an appointment but couldn't get through so of course I searched Yelp! Not only did I get an appointment within an hour for my oil change, but there was a Yelp coupon, strong wifi in the waiting area, and André assured me that if they found anything that needed to be done they would show me the part or picture of the problem. They even have an app that let's you show them what your car is doing so you can get an estimate before bringing your car to them. Their prices are about half of the dealership prices and they use only original manufacturer parts and products. André showed me the results of the battery test, the brake fluid strip, and a slightly worn rubber piece that they will monitor on my next visit. They will give you a ride to work or home, and if you get bored, the South Bay Galleria mall and movie theater is across the street I'm glad to have had a five star experience so close to home and I can't imagine going anywhere else in the area for as long as I drive a European car! read more

I love my mini but hate that it's so high maintenance. I thought it was just me and bad luck. Going to the dealer cost me a fortune. Going to Miniworx taught me that minis are just temperamental and require a lot of service. Miniworx is a good alternative to the dealer. They've got friendly service & professionals who truly appreciate the product. The technicians take time to show and explain clearly what the issue is... It means a lot, especially for a busy woman who does not have time to google everything to verify whether I am getting ripped off. Spent 2 months trying to fix a strange issue in where my BMW X5 was getting no power to front climate control. I am good enough to change glow plugs, spark plugs, brakes etc... but this was beyond me. All due to ignoring low battery warnings one night sitting in the car with lights on. A dealer service rep recommended I go here since he was going to charge me a lot just for diagnostic fees (figure out what is wrong). They had my car for a few days and also were not sure what was wrong. My local mechanic did not want to touch it. Just said I have electrical problem and that he can't fix. So I was not surprised they needed time to investigate. I got daily updates which is normal but I also got questions. I really liked the way they asked questions about what steps I took to fix the issue and which parts I purchased when hoping I could fix the issue. I have read cases on BMW forums where dealership knee-jerk reaction is to add new part and charge customer and electrical problems still not fixed. And for any programming etc they completely charge too much. Too long of a post already... 5 stars... I highly doubt your issue is as complex as mine and I know these electrical issues are tedious for mechanics. Cheers! read more

This is a great place to bring your European cars. I have been looking for a great car service station other than stealership for long time. I came across Import Motorworx from Yelp and it has received high compliment from many other users. I decided to give it a try. They respond very quickly and the price is very reasonable and competitive. They even explain in detail what other services you need when they found something else wrong with the car other than the original problem. I after my first service with them. Very happy with the quality of service. My old Jetta had an issue with its MAPS sensor and a dirty throttle body. Import Motorworx got the job done for 2.5x cheaper than the Volkswagen dealer! Later on, my Jetta had a secondary air intake problem. Andre and his guys took the time and effort to troubleshoot the problem. When they installed a defective replacement part and the service light came back on for the same problem a few days later, they were gracious enough to take the car back and fix the problem for no additional charge. Andre is great, straightforward, and a good communicator. My only minor complaints would be having to ask twice for the complimentary LiquiMoly oil change promotion that I came in for, because Andre left the charge in the bill. They could also do a bit better with repair time estimates, or at least quickly overcommunicating when jobs look like they are going to take longer than expected. read more

Been here before to get my car fixed thought I could come back and get my oil changed because they're suppose to give a better deal than the actual dealership. Charged me $115 for my oil change on my Mini Cooper. At the Mini dealership they charge $80. Motorworx told me that the prices change at Mini and that's their "special deal". I recently purchased 2012 Audi A7. Not knowing the true condition of the car, I was referred to Import Euroworx. I called them to get a price for a oil change which included a multi point inspection. This would give me a better understanding of my cars true condition. Andre is the manager there. I'm downgrading to 4 stars because while everything I said is still true and I'm generally still a fan, I now know that I was way upsold on the cost of the tire I had replaced (it runs $140-$160 depending where you go, but they charged me $250). It's possible that they were overcharged, but still - they should be trying to get the best rates for their clients. Also, the West LA Miniworx location told me that you are not supposed to mix tire brands/types, but Miniworx South Bay did replace out one of my Goodyear Excellence tires for a Bridgestone Potenza. Granted they said that they were unable to locate my exact tire without having to special order it and I really wanted a replacement that day, but I wish that I had been told about the potential consequences of mixing brands and maybe I would have waited the day for the tire to be ordered. Now I am forced to change out my other three tires to match that one Bridgestone Potenza, although luckily not a big deal since I was able to get them for $140 at America's Tire. So all in all still a fan, but recommend dealing with your tires elsewhere. read more

I love this place. They have always taken care of my mini. However they are a bit pricey. I always look for other options in certain things to have done at other places if possible and universal, because even though I know their are dedicated to minis, they can over price things. My engine light turned on, I figured out at home what was the problem. I called to ask the price to have it repaired, they said $400. The part was $250 and $150 for labor. I ordered the part at home for $100 and called back to see how much they would change to replace my oxygen sensor, they said $125. I called my local mechanic and he changed it for $20. I saved myself $180. However I know when we are talking about transmission or other important parts of a mini they are the ones to go to because not every mechanic knows how to work on a Mini Cooper. read more

I went in for an oil change and new tires, and got an alignment to make sure the tires wear evenly, and they never pressured me to get anything done that didn't need to be done. Just when I thought I had found a new local mechanic shop for my MCS, I was shockingly wrong. Do not be confused by the reviews on Yelp or the "mention this coupon to receive 20%" off service. I have experienced a bit better service from the MC dealership and will not be coming back to MiniWorx. Terrible customer service. When you are counting the money to pay for your MCS getting serviced you do not want to overhear the mechanics saying "yeah, I dunno dude. I didn't learn anything from that chapter, haha." After going underneath the hood of my car, days after I visited MiniWorx, I found a couple of loose screws. I usually give every place the benefit of the doubt, but not this time. I am taking my MCS to MiniCorsa or the dealership. At least, I will not have to listen to incompetent mechanics. read more
