If you are looking for a place to take your computer for repair of any kind, looked no further. Granted, what I needed to have done was fairly simple. OneDrive had hijacked my computer! I know it is supposed to be a useful backup, but to my horror I discovered that almost everything was on OneDrive and very little left on my hard drive. Everything I tried to do to retrieve my stuff resulted in all kinds of scary notifications, and I was afraid to proceed. And it was constantly nagging me to buy more cloud space, which I was not going to do! My husband has used Impress for years resolving computer issues for the Wings Over Houston Airshow computers. After trying to buy a very hard-to-find AMD Ryzen 9 5900x CPU through the usual suspects (Amazon, Best Buy, New Egg, Adorama) and being shut out instantly when they became available for sale by bots buying up all the stock, I became frustrated and did a Google search, trying to find an off-the-beaten-path vendor. I stumbled upon Impress Computers which had the 5900x available but as a backorder. While manufacturer shipment delays pushed back delivery by about 3 weeks from original ship date, I was constantly kept informed about status and given the name of a real person to contact with questions. Talk about Impress (ed), 2 previous locations had attempted to fix my computer due to a virus and were not successful. I was told at the first location that it would cost way to much to fix I would be better off replacing my computer with a new one. The second location the tech said he had fixed my computer but after paying him I still experienced the same issue I had before he worked on it. I than took it to Impress and In 24 hours I had my computer back and working just like new it has been a few weeks since I took it to Impress and it is still working great. I was so very impressed with Roy at Impress yesterday. I called to check their closing time before bringing my laptop in. I had been working on it and suddenly I lost internet connection. I tried everything and searched many complicated "solutions" on the internet. It was dead for a month before I could bring it in. But then...he started asking me to try this...and try that because maybe it was something simple. I thought I'd tried everything but then magically...he solved the problem in a blink!!. He always asks what you are trying to accomplish before he offers his advice and if he does not have enough information to make a recommendation he will ask more questions. Professional. Exceedingly timely service. Customer focused. Have used them on a number of occasions over the past 5 years, from in-shop virus removal / recovery to remote wireless setup assistance. Fully engaged until all issues resolved, particularly with the home wireless setup, which ended up a lot trickier than we anticipated - with multiple PCs/Macs, printers, wireless speakers, etc. with lots of dead spots in the house. When the Nvidia rtx 3080 released it was sold out to spam bots instantly and many of us felt hopeless. Through sheer luck I happened to follow someone on Twitter that got theirs through Impress and posted a link which I followed and was luckily able to secure my own (the exact model I wanted as well).
