She sent me for physical therapy to widen the opening of my mouth which lasted for close to one year, as well as a TMJ specialist that made several devices to aid in that respect and resolve thee TMJ issue. It was worth waiting a year before Dr. Salzer was able to put braces in my mouth and give me the smile and pefect bite I always wanted! I chose braces versus invisalign because my teeth were able to be corrected in less than one year and I love drinking coffee and would not be able to keep the invisalign in my mouth when drinking anything but water. In addition, if it wasn't for her, I would not have known that I had a lump on the upper left side of my mouth. Being an ex-cancer patient, that was extremely upsetting to me. She sent me to a neurologist to make sure that it wasn't cancer. I have had several checkups with that doctor to confirm. The technology in her office is "first class." I do believe without the best technology, she would not have known about it. Dr. Salzer invests in technology for her patients and has the cutting edge before it even hits the market! That should also be a factor when chosing the right orthodontist. Even though she sent me for physical therapy and to the TMJ specialist, it was all worth the wait!
