What stands out about this particular location is the consistently substandard service from Woburn's most vacuous fast food employees. A simple order, a large iced coffee with no liquid sugar, can dumbfound even the brightest of this location's employees. It's never a simple order with the drive-thru menu screen often flickering between "lg black" to "no cream" to two, sometimes three, iced coffees appearing on the display before completely starting over. Even via mobile app, the ice cold bean juice given at the window either lacks cream or is overindulged with the aforementioned liquid sugar. I'm not writing this review based on one bad experience or one fumbled early morning order. This is an ongoing experience. Time and time again I've driven away completely flustered and swearing to never return. So, why do I? I love the McCafe. It's delicious and fairly affordable. Not to mention this is the nearest McDonald's within six miles and as you probably know, six miles is an eternity in the great state of Massachusetts. The Woburn McDonald's drive-thru is something you have to experience to truly appreciate. In addition to a lack of order taking skills, patrons can also catch a glimpse into the day to day lives of Ronald's most capable burger-flippers and till jockeys. Just this morning, while I was trying to straighten out my overly complicated iced coffee order, I got to eavesdrop on a conversation about how "this is bull$#!+" and someone doesn't even "give a +#%!". The female voice was so loud over the speaker I felt like I was in the room myself! Exhilarating to say the least. I shouldn't complain the way I have. If a franchise has a clown for a mascot you can't be surprised when they hire clowns to run their stores.

When I asked my daughter what what meal she wanted before we embarked on the trip to drop her off at school she instantly said, Raising Cane's. At that point, I realized I had denied her Kane's pretty much all summer and my goose was cooked. The chicken is moist and warm crunchy on the outside and taste like chicken. The batter has a mild flavor to it the compliments, the chicken. The crinkle cut fries are crisp on the outside and soft on the outside and taste like potatoes. The lemonade is excellent. The coleslaw is excellent. I don't get the big deal about the Caine's m secret sauce, which does nothing for me other people love I don't even know what's in. It is fairly priced. Definitely a better deal than McDonald's or KFC.

True to its fast-casual model, service is efficient even when lines are long. The tip to order ahead through their app is a smart one and definitely saves time. The signature Box Combo is the way to go, giving you a great overview of what they do best. The star of the show is undeniably the Cane's Sauce. It has a cult following for good reason, its creamy, tangy flavor pairs perfectly with the crispy, juicy chicken fingers. The sides complete the experience: the Texas Toast is buttery and soft, ideal for dipping, and the crinkle-cut fries are reliably crispy when fresh. It's worth noting that the experience can vary. In addition to this, the meal can also feel quite heavy or greasy to some diners. Overall, Raising Cane's is a solid choice for a quick, dependable chicken finger fix. It won't reinvent fast food, but for a tasty, no-fuss meal where the sauce truly shines, it consistently hits the spot and is a great deal for the quality.

Still waiting on the first location to open in Maine, hopefully in the near future! The reason for the four stars is I think a couple of things make this the lowest ranked Canes we have visited off the three. By no means was it a bad experience, the other two were just better in certain ways that make them a five star and this one a four star. The tenders did seem to be a little bit smaller than we have had before. The flavor of the tenders were still fantastic and you could tell it was high quality chicken. The toast needed to be a bit more toasted. This was quite a busy spot considering it is on route 1 in Saugus which has a ton of traffic so I am sure they are rushing food a little bit at times. Maybe we just came during too much of a rush or an off day for a good meal but not the best quality Raising Cane's we have had. We opted to go through the drive thru and their speed was good with a small wait, also staff was friendly. Which speaking of staff the person taking orders spoke very quickly yet with plenty of manners and being friendly! No real ambiance/vibes to talk about as we did drive thru. It is very convenient location wise and we enjoyed our meals just a couple small improvements we know are possible with a Cane's visit would turn this into an even better meal!
