I really like this office for the people: the front desk girl, the optometrists. I've been going here for years, probably since 2004 or something and I've only been to one other optometrist at the time because I moved to san francisco and ran out of contacts. They're a business that is conscious of their customer needs and really value service. For instance, once I was heading back to SF for school and I needed my glasses ASAP, the girl at the front made sure that I got my glasses in time and even called me multiple times to give me status updates and finally when they were ready. The optometrists do a thorough job of examining my eyes and try to help me keep my eyes healthy instead of just making sure my prescription was right. There are a few things that I wish they could improve upon: glasses selection, they aren't too hip with the current trends right now and don't offer the world's biggest selection of frames. For instance, they don't have ray bans and they offer a limited selection of designer plastic frames with nose bridge holders (which fits a lot of asians with flat noses!!) Also - their contact lens price/box is a bit pricier than competitors - but it's hard to beat the onlne people. However, they are really friendly about writing you prescriptions or verifying online orders so you can get a good deal. They aren't trying to screw you out of a better deal so that they can get your business, which I really appreciate. They're understanding that I'll use my insurance there to buy glasses and do frames and they'll write me a prescription to buy contacts online because it's more affordable. read more

In Focus Optometry is a great place for glasses and contacts if you are looking for friendly and knowledgeable optometry services. I have been going to In Focus for 5 years and I have never had a problem with them. Walk-ins are welcome and they accept many different types of vision insurance, including VSP. I went into In Focus to get my yearly eye exam last week and because they always give such clear and explicit instructions every time I go there, my prescription hasn't changed and my eyes are healthy! They help to maximize whatever my vision insurance covers and have a wide selection of frames and contact lenses to choose from. They also take the time to fit you with the right contacts or frames so you walk out the door satisfied. Two thumbs way up for this optometrist! read more

Dr. Hoai Tran is a very comprehensive doctor. She's very attentive and understanding. Her personality is warm and welcoming. Most doctors take 10-15 minutes to see you and that's it. Dr. Tran actually takes her time and gives a thorough examination. I'm sure other doctors don't do everything they're supposed to, but Dr. Tran does! In Focus Optometry has a wide frame selection that you can choose from. I've never seen an optometry place with so many glasses before. They carry RayBans, Gucci, Emporio Armani, Fendi, and so much more. They also have contact lenses in stock if you ever want to purchase them right away. If they don't have it, they usually place the order on the same day. It takes less than a week to get your contacts here. The staff is also very helpful here. If you bump into Rosa, then you're very lucky to have her help you. She's very helpful with the frame selection process and will give you an honest opinion on what really looks good and what doesn't. It's nice to have someone be honest with you when they're actually the ones trying to sell you something. read more

I've never had a problem until now. They took my money and said they'd call in about a week and a half when my sons glasses were ready. They have since closed their office and never bothered calling. They give another number to call and while it worked awhile back, it no longer works. I'm focus: If you're reading this I suggest you call all the people you screwed!! read more

I had no choice but to come here thru my company. I needed safety glasses. I ordered my glasses, young lady said they would be ready in 1.5 weeks. 2 weeks later nothing. I walked in 2 weeks later and my glasses had not yet being ordered. 3 weeks nothing. Close to a month later calles saying my glasses were ready. In my only day off (Wednesday) they are close.. if I could give this place no stars I definitely would. read more

I am so disappointed. I've gotten glasses from this place yearly from 2000 - 2008 without a single problem. Four months ago, I tried to get contacts from them for the first time, and the optometrist I saw overpowered one lens and underpowered the other. I went in for several rechecks and they still weren't able to fix it. No one realized that you can't adjust a prescription for contacts by 1 degree in one eye and only .25 in the other eye. I spent a total of $440 (includes $90 I spent to see another optometrist to fix my prescription) and I'm only getting 2 months worth of contacts at most when I should be getting 13 months worth. Not to mention, I've had to go for several months without contacts, thanks docs. read more

First off, the only reason I was even here to get my glasses done was because I have relatives that have been coming here for awhile. The glasses were supposed to come back in 1.5 to 2 weeks but it took 5 weeks. Not only that, but the new frames I had bought for the glasses, which I hv to say we're very expensive, came back noticeably scratched all over and the frame was bent out of shape. The front of the frames were slightly curved originally but came back bent straight, this caused the temples (sides of the glasses) to be open way too wide to be able to fit on any face. Also, the lenses of the glasses were popping of the frames so much it is ridiculous, about 1 centimeter out of where the frame ends and my eyesight was not bad enough for it to pop out that much. This was so disappointing, I would give it no stars for i could. read more

Came in Today and brought my 4 year old son for an appointment... he wasn't really like the exams but they were so mice to him and patient ! He also has a cold and an airway disease and today it was really triggered. He kept coughing and coughing. They quickly offered water :) Well anyways, my son threw up on the floor. The receptionist ran to get napkins and cleaned it in less than two minutes ! She was so nice about it I was really embarrassed but she made me feel better. The doctor did the exam still because his eyes were already dialated. She would stop every time he'd cough and was really sweet nice and Patient with him and I felt no rush. I have been coming here for years and see no reason to go anywhere else. This review is long overdue. Dr. Hoai and her staff are very polite and patient. They are very accommodating to your needs and value your time. They have a wide selection of glasses and contact lenses options available. If you go the contact lenses route, they will very patiently show you how to use them properly and safely. The office is extremely clean and well lit. read more

Always enjoy visiting In Focus. Been visiting this location since I was in elementary school. On one visit, the receptionist offered to fix my frames for no charge just because she noticed they were slightly crooked. She's always super nice, helpful and attentive. They genuinely care here, and the optometrist always conducts her craft with professionalism and intelligence. 10/10, will recommend. read more

In Focus is great. I first started going to them in 2005. I lost my glasses and the place in Fashion Island my wife goes to couldn't even see me for two weeks. The lost glasses occurred on a Friday and I needed glasses ASAP since I am not even close to being legal when I drive. To make a long story short, I thumbed through the phone book, found In Focus and called them. I not only had my exam, but actually had my glasses by the end of the weekend! How can you beat that?
