I was never particularly thrilled about not seeing the same vet twice and when Toby passed, the way it was handled was less than satisfactory. When our next dog, Brandy's time came, I found records received from Charlotte Humane Society indicated that she was treated at AAC by her previous owner and went there, instead. I've never once regretted my decision! Patch is now over 14 and only ever been to AAC. Current owners, Dr. Marnie Gallagher and her husband Dave (now retired) have helped make Patch's long life possible through their care and compassion. The entire staff act professionally and courteously. I've referred several friends and neighbours through the years and highly recommend anyone reading this review to consider their services.

I've worked and continue to work with Flint at home counter conditioning his fears of the dryer. Chrissy takes her time and doesn't force anything. That's why your pet is there the full day. Flint loves her and is now becoming less fearful of the hair dryer. They are very kind here. Please, if your pet has mats then a shave is the most humane thing to do. Then daily brushing after. Chrissy has been grooming a long time and I trust her judgment on what is best for Flints coat and comfort.

They didn't take the necessary steps to properly diagnose him before planning a surgery he never needed. The practice manager told me I should have gotten a second opinion and that they normally don't send samples to the lab before surgery (what?). Two weeks after the surgery and no one has taken any accountability. DO NOT GO HERE.

When I picked them up after work, they were brought into the lobby smelling of urine. They left wet paw prints on the floor. When I got them into the car, the urine smell was overwhelming. I went back in and asked the woman at the front desk why the dogs reeked of urine. She actually asked, "what do you want me to do about it?". I replied maybe return the dogs in the same condition as when they were dropped off. She said maybe they rolled in it outside. Rolled in urine? Um, ok. Thank God I have a dog cover over the back seat of the car. It was soaked. Their collars and leashes were wet and reeked as well. I had the enjoyment of running everything through the wash and giving the dogs 3 rounds of bathing each to get the smell out of their fur. They were obviously kept in their kennels without being let out to relieve themselves. Both dogs are housebroken and well behaved. Not a way I want to spend my evening after working all day. Not to mention that doggie daycare is not cheap. The first strike was when I came to pick them up and while I was waiting for them to come out, a very large aggressive dog named "Tarzan" came in with his owner and the owner had no control over him. The female front desk staff wouldn't take him back to his kennel. They had to call a male to the front that could handle him. My dogs had to be kept behind glass doors until it was safe for them to come out. That's a huge liability on Pet Palace if that dog hurts another person or dog. Ever heard of making the owner call when he's in the parking lot to make sure the lobby is clear?

We get our food, water and medicines on time.  Our time is filled with hugs, playing ball, lots of attention and fun walks.  After each visit, Fetch! posts an update to our parents to tell them what we did, how we behaved, the path of our walks and even when we pooped!  (SO EMBARRASSING!) Last year they sold the business to the current owner who has run things down hill. She is a curt and abrasive communicator. It is clear she feels she has plenty of clients and doesn't need you or your pet. The final straw for us was her cancelling a reservation for Memorial Day one week out, a reservation made almost 2 months in advance, leaving us to scramble to find new care. Not reliable and not professional so I highly recommend that you spend your money elsewhere for better care. Honestly I really am very sad to see what has happened to the good name the original owners created and even more disappointed to have to write this review but do feel that others need to know. Updating because the response is sadly a blatant lie as the last text message string received from the owner said "If something comes up we will have to go ahead with visits without meeting the pups," so there was no warning that rescheduling a visit days in advance is a "cancellation" nor a phone call or text message before sending a very confusing system generated cancellation of our visits one week out from the busy holiday weekend. Yet another reason to stay away. If you can't be honest or even pick up the phone to tell a client you are canceling on them and why, your service is severely lacking.

I was lucky enough to find Charlotte Pups because my neighbor uses them. We recently adopted our dog and have a great schedule worked out, but my fiance had to travel out of town for a week and he is usually the lunch walker. I called Stephanie at Charlotte pups and IMMEDIATELY knew that this was the right team to have on my dogs side. She refers to your animal as a baby and when I called she apologized for being flustered but when she was walking a client's dog she noticed that the dog had bloody diarrhea. She immediately called the owner and when the owner was not able to leave work immediately they volunteered to take the dog to the vet. Both Stephanie and Leah were there just to make sure the little pup was alright. Talk about service, my gosh. An added bonus is that their website is super easy to use and schedule on. You can pick how long you want them to visit for, if you want them to walk/feed/play, what hours to visit, etc. They also do overnight stays and offer to water plants, raise blinds, turn on alarms, rotate the lights, etc. But the best part is they check in with you after every visit. You get a little text letting you know how it went, if your animal used the bathroom, and sometimes even a picture! I wish my fiance provided that quality of service, haha! Overall I am so glad to have found the Charlotte Pups team. They are a true pleasure to work with and love animals - what more could you ask for?
