Bottom Line: I came to IMOC after yrs of moderate lower back pain and months of debilitating lower back pain from an injury. 4 months later I'm pain free, have complete mobility and stability and can undertake even heavy exercise without anxiety of re-injury. This is by far the best PT location that I have worked with and I have been to more than one. The space is clean. Each PT is professional and kind. Especially Matthew, Alvin, David and Jessica. I was sent to PT after I was rear ended, I originally was sent to another PT in Irvine but wasn't happy. I'm glad I didn't settle because In Motion was amazing! I wanted to wait until I had several visits under my belt before I wrote this review. I have now been going to In Motion O C for about three months so I have experience to draw and write from. First, let me say that if your heading here, it's probably because your in pain and lets face it, that's no fun.... If your looking to get back to your normal healthy life due to an injury or medical issue with pain you need to look no further than In Motion OC. From the get go I was treated with respect and had all my Insurance questions dealt with up front before I even walked in. Within my first three visits I felt like "Cheers' where everybody knows your name. Everyone is so welcoming and excited to get you on your way back to health. Each plan in personalized for your issue. In the three months, I went through several phases of rehab and exercise to get back to myself and feeling a whole lot better. I was a bit taken back when after a few visits you see different initial Physical Therapist for your initial exercises, but make no mistake, each one has been professional, caring, and dedicated. I liked the way each one has their own style so you really learn a lot and can bond with them. Don't think the session ends there, you also meet with your own dedicated Physical Therapist each time for more in depth treatment. My PT was Stephanie and her knowledge of treatment and the body is match only by her caring and personal approach. I was living in pain and she immediately understood my concerns and addressed them both professionalism and in a caring attitude... and let's face it, having someone in your corner to help you get better is half the battle . Last, the office has bright fun attitude from the moment you walk in. Weather is busy or slow, you always receive the care you are looking to get. I am SO thankful for In Motion OC and would recommend it to anyone I know! I can't say enough good things about the staff, the therapists and the facility. They are incredibly careful and are taking all the necessary precautions for COVID. Taking each patient's temperature when they arrive, cleaning equipment after each use, spreading patients out to ensure everyone is safe and everyone wears a mask. I tore my ACL and Meniscus in a ski accident and started going to In Motion after surgery. Madison was my therapist and she was knowledgeable, kind and got me back "In Motion". There were a handful of times I met with other therapists and they all had the same depth of knowledge. The staff and all therapists and PT assistants are kind, understanding and attentive. I've officially graduated from the physical therapy side and am now going to Edgar on the fitness side. My mom had a lot of pain in her wrist from last year's fracture that didn't heal well. Stephanie's magic hands, expertise, knowledge and kindness frees my mom from constant pain after only a few sessions. I am so shocked how unprofessional staffs of this facility. They had me wait for about 30 minutes. Then informed me that I am not on their schedule. Steve who took my call yesterday didn't do his job properly and communicated to other staff. Other staff seemed to console Steve, saying it is ok, however didn't try to make things work for me. Coming here was my first official session with Physical Therapy. As a casual weightlifter, In Motion O C provided me with the quality PT I'd expect in sports medicine. Although I only visited twice, the facility was clean and looking top notch both visits. There was a manageable PT to patient ratio, about one Physical therapist to one patient. My session lasted a little under one hour and included an injury screening for my hip nerve pain. After this, the PT kindly guided me through several exercises to help with my hip pain and most importantly, to strengthen my glutes during my weightlifting sessions (which really helped a lot!) Thanks to the PT's advice, pain from my hip nerve has been mitigated. I owe them five stars for missing my free consultation, setting that aside I still received awesome quality PT here. I had my ACL surgery back in December of 2019 and In Motion Oc provided me with the best care in the industry. My physical therapist Mitchelle was amazing. I was able to recover quickly and with better range of motion because of her innovative exercises and extensive knowledge on rehabbing athletes. Each aid assigned to my case was well trained, knowledgeable and always had a great attitude. York, Ismael, Ryan, and Julia all rotated as the aids throughout my case and each one was incredibly encouraging and always ensured my form and technique were on point. First and foremost I just want to say that In Motion OC is the best physical therapy clinic I've been to. I've had knee problems on and off for the past few years and recently had another issue come up so I decided to go to physical therapy again and I was blown away by the quality of care here. Both the aides and the physical therapists here are incredible. They are truly invested in getting you better. I've been working with Haze and Jordan and they are both wonderful. Haze has really helped my knee feel better even after just a few visits is really attentive to me and adjusts the exercises to my needs. Jordan is always an awesome aide, providing great instructions on the exercises and is really supportive and encouraging. In addition to that, their facilities are very clean and professional and the atmosphere in the clinic is so upbeat and positive. Definitely makes physical therapy fun for once! I have to say first and foremost, the thing that stood out was the comradery across all employees. It seemed like everyone were friends and respected each other. Who doesn't love that type of work environment?! They did a very good job at letting me feel right at home and eased my concerns and insecurities. Garrett Jay and his assistants Coleen and Sarina are the best people with whom I feel lucky to be assigned to. Every visit we cracked jokes and I actually left that place learning so much about stretches and exercises that I'm just adopting to my weekly exercises. Garrett even customized one of my workouts towards the end to be bowling-inspired. It was pretty genius that I don't think you would find outside this establishment. Update: I just wanted to quickly add an update to my review. IMOC is such a unique training experience. Edgar/Ryan are highly trained and specialized in taking your fitness to the next level, especially if you have physical/pain issues. It has been about 2.5 years since my back surgery and my road to recovery has had some ups and downs. I feel so thankful that I have the team at IMOC to work with when my pain starts to flare up. My workouts can be adjusted and customized to help me get out of my flare up. They have helped me to adjust my mentality as well which has helped me accomplish new levels to my fitness that I would have never thought possible in the past. I have been to so many places over the years and there really is nothing like this out there. Katie Boss is an amazing therapist. She's one of the few therapists in Orange County that actually knows ART (active release technique). She also knows how to do cupping. She is excellent. I feel that she genuinely cares about her clients and goes above and beyond what is needed to ensure a speedy recovery. Another awesome therapist is Michelle. Started here with Alvin for physical therapy for an intense SI joint injury- my pain was so bad I could not sit for longer than a few minutes at a time. Alvin set me up with an excellent program- he was hands on for every physical therapy session, was attentive, skilled, and helped my pain reduce from a 8 out of 10 to a 4 out of 10. The next phase of Alvin's plan was to continue strengthening my back to prevent any further injury and keep the pain away, so he sent me to the fitness side. I hadn't been able to work out strenuously for a year before going to the fitness side, but Edgar took me under his wing and helped me feel more confident and began creating training sessions for me that gradually increased in intensity over time, and I'm currently feeling stronger than ever with the lowest pain I've had in over a year. Ryan is also excellent at developing creative, well rounded training sessions that challenge me every time. Dom is also awesome- solid trainer! All three are so friendly and motivating that I look forward to my training sessions! You can't go wrong with In Motion OC- I highly recommend both physical therapy and the fitness side! read more

I worked with Matt, but really this review applies to everyone at In Motion OC - these guys are the BEST! I initially went to In Motion to try and resolve some sciatic pain I was having in my hip and toes. I did a couple weeks of therapy and didn't see results. It was Matt who suggest I go to a doctor to see what was really going on. LSS - I had a 1.5 cm (yes, my units are correct) L4-L5 bulge that could only be resolved with surgery. OUCH! Surgery went great but they took out a HUGE piece of the disc - I almost don't have a disc between my L4 and L5 vertibrae any more. I was optimistic but skeptical that I would ever get back to doing the things I loved. If anyone could help it would be In Motion OC. As soon as insurance gave me the OK, I went back. For starters, Matt and the gang were genuinely happy to see me back and anxious to get started. This positive attitude was SO KEY to my recovery! They started with some stretching, but quickly got me into a routine of strength and aerobic exercises. Each time I came back, Matt would introduce a new exercise, give me a new goal, and build a collection of therapy exercises I could do at home. These guys are SO KNOWLEDGEABLE! They listened to my goals, and if I was having trouble progressing they would change up the routine to help me improve even faster. I don't know if I would have ever gotten back to my old routine without them. THANK YOU is not enough. Go to In Motion OC, believe in their system and put in the work. Great experience, great people. I walked into In Motion O.C. with the impression that I would never walk the same again. I had damaged my left knee and couldn't even stand up from a chair on one leg. I met my Physical Therapist Garrett Jay who told me that we would figure it out and get me back to normal. With help from his team Cat and Dylan they did just that. The whole experience was great. I was greeted with a smile from the front desk team, who already had me checked in. I was met by either Cat or Dylan right at the scheduled time of my appointment. They physically showed me what exercise I needed to do. Once I was warmed up, Garrett would meet up with me to discuss what was hurting since my last visit and would address that issue with massage and assortment of tools until it was not bothering me any more. My overall experiences was great, after 4 months I walked out of In Motion OC with a rehabilitated knee and I am back to 100%. I had the unfortunate experience of tearing my ACL back in March '17 and was prescribed PT by my surgeon for both "prehab" prior to surgery as well as post-op. I was overwhelmed and unsure of what to do since I'd never had a major injury or intensive joint surgery before, but I felt immediately at-ease after a consultation at In Motion OC. First, I have to note that my insurance was *very* difficult throughout the whole process of my injury and obtaining PT sessions was no easy feat. However, the billing department was very kind in working with me to make sure I had the care that I needed while at the same time advocating to my insurance. As a grad student, I really appreciated their patience in working with a less-than-stellar insurance company who was constantly battling every charge. The billing department's patience saved me not only a good chunk of money, but also allowed me to continue seeking the therapy treatment I desperately needed. My PT, Haze, was very professional and helpful throughout the whole process and never hesitated to answer my many questions. I felt pushed and challenged with the exercises, but at no point was I ever in pain. Not only was Haze a fantastic PT, but he went above and beyond in a number of instances from being willing to speak directly with my insurance to making sure I knew what to look for in a different PT due to having to move out-of-state. That being said, the whole team-- including the aides- were very experienced and attentive to making sure I was performing all the exercises correctly. I was absolutely thrilled with the progress made and I owe it all to the team here at In Motion OC. Due to my employment, I had to move out-of-state or else I would have completed my entire protocol here, but I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a top-notch PT. Highly recommend In Motion OC. I have had back problems for years but recently got to the point I'd throw it out doing simple tasks and it would take a week or two to heal again. Decided to try physical therapy and chose In Motion OC and really glad I did. PRODUCT: In Motion OC was able to diagnose my issues and create a plan that has since alleviated my back pain. They take into account what lifestyle you want to live (such as playing a specific sport) and choose exercises and stretches that will help attain those goals. They showed me how to properly perform these stretches and exercises to really get the most out of it (I can straight legged touch my toes for the first time that I can remember). Like most things in health you get out what you put into it but In Motion OC is the one that got me on the right path (thank you Madi and team!) CUSTOMER INTERACTION: This, I think, is the difference maker. From the physical therapists, to the trainers, to the front staff, everyone is kind, caring, friendly, and helpful. You walk into smiles and laughter. They will go out of their way to help you out as much as they can. It's a warm and inviting environment, that really makes it a fun place to go to. I found In Motion OC for Physical Therapy (PT) for a pinched nerve in my lower back that radiated down my right leg. The problem started on 2/23, and after seeing a doctor and getting the condition under control, my doctor recommended PT. I called and got an appointment the same morning and started PT 3/15. I have old injuries that contributed to this and my expectation was to learn what I needed to do to help prevent future occurrences. My doctor and my primary Physical Therapist both said that I needed to build up my core strength. At the time this happened, I was working out 6 days a week. Clearly I wasn't getting the job done by myself and I was committed to do whatever I could to prevent this from happening again. The PTs and aides always challenged me. They would increase difficulty or change the exercises to make sure I continued to build on my progress. Within 1.5 weeks, the progress I was making was obvious. Not only was I seeing the benefits to help prevent the problem I was there for, I was seeing improvements in areas I wasn't really expecting. My body had been compensating for injuries from an accident I had 20 years ago and that was being corrected as well. I completed my course of therapy on 4/19 and my progress was remarkable! I had stopped worrying about my pinched nerve within a couple of weeks and started observing the improvements I was seeing in flexibility, strength and stability. It was AMAZING. I am so glad I found In Motion OC and I am forever grateful for what they have done for me. The entire staff was always friendly, helpful and upbeat. I primarily worked with Victor and some work with Tyler. Both were fantastic! I plan to continue the exercises at home, and will schedule future appointments on occasion to make sure I'm doing things correctly and to see if I should make any updates to what I'm doing. read more
