I just finished a 12-session PT (3 x per wk) at In Motion. I have a disc herniation issue which also causes shoulder and arm pain. I had the pleasure to work with Vicki and Katie during my sessions there. They listened to my needs and adjusted the program accordingly. In the end, they were able to cure my neck pain. And as for the arm/shoulder pain which seems to me will take a much longer time to eliminate, they showed me how to alleviate it. Lastly, the assistants and staff are friendly and helpful. In Motion has a lot of great reviews, and they are deserved. The two PTs I saw personally, Victor and Haze, were both great. Very friendly and knowledgeable at the same time. They do spend a good portion of every visit giving treatment and accessing your progress. This is not the type of place where the PT spends the full time with you, a good portion of your time will be spent with aides. However, the aides are excellent, and it's not necessary for the PT to watch every rep of every exercise in my opinion. The facility is quite nice, as they have enough equipment that you can get your full rehab routine in without having to visit a separate gym to perform your exercises. I came here after a ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair, which is a pretty major rehab. It's an injury that really requires a lot of work to recover from, and In Motion spent typically 75 to 90 minutes a session on exercise and treatment. That's above and beyond. read more

I attended a clinic at InMotion for chronic lower back issues. Haze did a great job explaining potential causes of lower back conditions and a general overview on what to do and what not to do during acute lower back flare-ups. I decided to do a follow-up evaluation and Haze recognized some muscular imbalances and joint tightness that may be the root cause of my chronic lower back issues. Over a period of approximately 8 weeks Haze and Alvin had me perform a strengthening and stretching program along with some hands-on deep tissue work. At the end of this period I feel markedly better and have been able to alleviate a deep glute/piriformis tightness that had been plaguing me for quite sometime. I would highly recommend coming here for physical therapy! I had the opportunity to work with Jessica Leimkuhler during my physical therapy treatment. Jessica is such a warm and kind person and she's super easy to talk to. She's extremely knowledgeable and great at explaining things to her patients. She always took her time with me and made sure all of my questions were answered. The environment here is very supportive and friendly. All of the PT assistants were really nice and easy to talk to as well. The front desk staff is also friendly and provide great customer service. I have zero bad things to say about this place. This review is about In Motion OC's physical therapy section... First of all, I've been going to physical therapy for various issues for years and I have experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly. In Motion OC is the BEST. and I really mean it. They properly divide their team up so you are always under the instruction of someone. The PT helps you do stretches (hands-on) and exercises. Not to mention, In Motion OC doesn't give you a huge packet of "homework" exercises to do at home. You learn in PT and do whatever feels right for you to do at home. They taught me a stretch I can do on my own and it's literally gotten me off all my pain meds in 2 sessions. Also, you can't help but love everyone's smiling face when you walk in! read more

I've had really bad neck and shoulder pains for over 10 years and these pains started to cause a terrible headache. I've tried acupuncture and massages in the past to alleviate pains temporarily. But when I had non-stop headache, I couldn't carry on with my daily routines. Agonizing pain! My primary doctor recommended seeing a physical therapist. I am so glad I found In Motion OC. After the consultation session, I was referred to Katie Boss and she immediately became my life saver. Not only she is an excellent physical therapist but also she is a caring person which is very important to me. She really tries to get to know the patient and I was able to connect with her which helped me to trust her 100%. After seeing her for one month, my headache was completely gone. She helped me correct my posture at work and how I set up my work desk/chair. My neck/shoulder pains decreased over several months of PT and I no longer need physical therapy. Katie and her assistant Grace guided me with so many home exercises I can do on my own. During the pandemic, going to the PT was the most enjoyable activity, so I am sad I graduated from it. I just completed 9 months of PT following multiple foot surgeries. I worked with Matt Rossman throughout my recovery. He is an exceptional PT with a friendly, professional demeanor. He is very knowledgeable and a great communicator. Throughout my recovery, I also worked with a number of aides. I have come to In Motion for 3 separate issues and they resolved the issue each time. I'm now pain free and mobility is fantastic, maybe better than before the injury in some cases. I recently came back for some PT following shoulder surgery. I primarily work w/ Haze, but have worked w/ Victor and Stephanie too, and they've all been tremendously helpful and super knowledgeable. I had to have a hip replacement which was a first in the hospital ever. After being told over and over what not to do. I was left stiff and not even able to put my own socks on. I requested Physical Therapy and that is when I started here. I was immediately booked with Matthew Rossman. This is my second time here and was even more impressed of how professional and friendly every one is here. Matthew knew exactly what needed to be done for me to get at a better place than I was. I can now say that I'm putting my own socks (little things you don't realize matter) I am able to move better than prior to my surgery. With his guidance and patience I am now able to move, bend get around with ease and even challenge my self week to week. I don't know what I would have done had I not started therapy. Even tho I started a little late I am so happy and thankful for the excellent progress I have made. The staff really is caring, cheerful and knowledgeable. I have gotten off my pain meds, lost weight, gained muscle mass. This is the best physical therapy place I have ever been to. It has made a tremendous difference in my life. I went in barely able to walk. Now I am on the treadmill at the local gym for an hour at a time. Had a great experience with a personal trainer!! She focused on working me out to make me stronger (and leaner!). It was such a personal session, the moves were tailored to what I needed which I loved and I didn't feel rushed at all. This place is great! Temperature is checked when you first arrive and the front ladies are always helpful and great me with a smile. This review is for Artayja who did my deep tissue massage. It was my first time with her and she exceeding my expectations. I've been attending the Fitness side of IMOC for almost a year now, mostly with head trainer Edgar, and I can't see myself leaving anytime soon. I completely healed a painful rotator cuff injury under Edgar's coaching to strengthen the right muscles - something that PT helped with but couldn't cure alone. This is no average gym- the fitness coaches, equipment and training programs are next level, and there's always a great sense of community. These guys understand anatomy and physiology way beyond trainers in most gyms, which is great for injury rehab, but also for anyone just wanting to maintain/build strength and fitness in a safe, fun, yet challenging environment. Was here for over two months to work on my knees. This place is very clean, organized and efficient. I love that they use towels everywhere, including the bathroom/locker room (which was very fancy). I worked with several therapists, but mainly with Jesse and her assistant David. Jesse was my favorite of the therapists. Loved David, who worked with me on all the exercises and kept everything fun and lively. Unfortunately, I have had therapy at a few other places before, and none of them had the friendly vibe that this one did. All patients really got along well with whomever was working with them. The owners really did a great job hiring their team. I don't want to get hurt ever again, but if my friends ever need any physical therapy, I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I've been going to in motion for a few months now and it's been a really positive experience. I hurt my lower back initially and went to see the physical therapists. Within a few weeks of treatments they were able to get me from pain and stiffness from sitting to gradually a pain free day. It was also a seamless experience, having seen Jess, Victor and Rachel, all of whom knew my injury and treatment plan and were able to successfully treat me. Once discharged from the physical therapy side, I went over to start training with Edgar. It's been more of the same with a good training plan and since I've started training my pain has not only gone away but I've felt stronger than ever. I tried crossfit before and ended up in a constant state of injury due to some mobility issues as well as bad form. Started training with Edgar and started with foundation and core training (which I have never learned before). Once my mobility issues and body alignment were addressed, working out became enjoyable for the first time without the fear of injury. I've been to pt before and they would treat me the first session and then throw me a list of menial exercises to do myself and end with massage or ice and heat. Did nothing. Instead they TEACH you exercises, walk with you through it all and slowly increase the difficulty to where you can actually FEEL the improvement! GREAT EXPERIENCE! I went there due to lower back pain/bulging disc. Easy onboarding and customer service up front. I was assigned to Dr. Madison Mounga as my PT. Over the next 6 weeks she did an outstanding job working with me on therapy as well as an exercise regimen to address the specific areas affected. Her assistant, Brooke, also did a great job putting me through my exercise paces after direct therapy sessions with Maddie. They, and the entire staff, were professional and personable. I have been enrolled in In Motion OC fitness program for about four months now, since completing 12 sessions of their physical therapy. My initial objective was to maintain the positive results which I had gained through the PT sessions. However, the fitness program has far taken that objective to the next level: I am well on track back to a tuned and fit body! The fitness coach, Edgar, follows a scientific approach, based on Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization method, towards fitness. On top of getting back into shape and tuning my body, such approach has greatly helped me to improve my posture as well as harmonize my movements and breath. So grateful to have found In Motion! I've been struggling with low back pain for a few years now and I just didn't want to believe my spine doctor when he told me that I should get steroid shots into my low back, not to carry more than 5 lbs, and not to go into certain poses in yoga. Rather than going in that direction with my treatment, I chose physical therapy. In motion has been such a great find in so many ways: 1.) Equipment is organized and clean. No clutter. Treatment beds are wiped down after every patient. 4.) Modern and Environmentally friendly- They have towels instead of paper towels. Technologically advanced. Progress reports and check Ins is done with an I-pad with minimal paper. 5.) Physical therapy and Fitness Area are adjacent within the same facility - During physical therapy or after, patients have the opportunity to work with a knowledgeable fitness trainers to build strength while overcoming injury or weakness. 6.) I've saved the BEST review for last and that is for the FITNESS TRAINING. My physical therapist, Dr. Mitchelle reinforced her trust in the fitness trainers and I can see why! Edgar and Ryan are amazing at what they do! I've worked with trainers at gyms and boot camp places but I have never worked with anybody as knowledgeable, professional, attentive, caring, and detailed as Edgar and Ryan! They create a safe and nonjudgmental area to work out in. They'll never give you exercises that would potentially injure you but will give you exercises that push your body to its limits so that it strengthens you SAFELY. Edgar and Ryan pays close attention to you and your exercises and gives constructive feedback throughout the exercise session! Though I work with two trainers, there is always continuity of care. Ryan is so detailed that he keeps progress notes of my training. I can definitely see progress with this tracking! Today, Edgar encouraged me to come up with a long term goal to keep my accountable! I'm so lucky to have found this kind of personalized training. Edgar and Ryan work with a lot of heart and intent. They are super motivating! Though there may be times when I may feel super weak or discouraged, Edgar and Ryan are there to coach me through all the exercises. They definitely don't let you give up ever and every little success is considered a "win!" I appreciate their explanations through the exercises so I can do them with the intent of getting stronger! They have a good balance of detail and playfulness because it makes the area fun while having to push hard through the workouts. I'm forever grateful and have so much trust in Edgar and Ryan for my overall wellness. I have been training with them for only about 1 month, but can now say that I have minimal to no back pain! In the past, my low back would hurt carrying grocery bags or from simply reaching for something. Now, I'm living a normal life carrying way heavier than grocery bags without feeling anything in my back. I'm back doing what I love (hiking, swimming, yoga, being active) MINUS the low back pain! I've been to many physical therapy countless times over the years but In Motion O C stands far above all they are in a totally different league. Everyone is so friendly and really care. They truly want to see you get better. The front office staff are the first to greet you and make you feel like family when you arrive. They will always seem to be able accommodate your schedule should you have to change your appointment time or day. The PT assistants are great. They explain and demonstrate all your exercises as well as answer any questions with enthusiasm and skill. And finally the PT's are all very knowledgeable and caring. It's a team effort from the entire staff. There is also a fitness center where you can workout and the trainer can talk with your PT and help you recover sooner. I drive between 25-55 minuets to get there depending on the time and day and it is well worth it. I actually look forward to coming in for PT they've become like family. Highly recommend the team at In Motion. I was struggling for months with Plantar Fasciitis. I showed up to In Motion feeling grumpy and frankly not convinced that physical therapy could solve my pain. My therapist Haze Hernandez took the time over our 4 months of sessions to explain in detail why I was feeling pain and the technical science behind the treatment plan. The aids who worked with me on my exercises were always well trained and brought a positive attitude. If you have ever done PT exercises, you know many of them feel silly and can be uncomfortable. Jordan was the best aid I worked with as he always brought a positive attitude, which made getting through the exercises so much easier. I can say my perspective on physical therapy is much different than when I started - because I now believe it is an effective treatment for pain and injuries. I have scoliosis and though it's mild, I am feeling the inevitable back pain more now that I'm older. As soon as I walked through the door I felt welcomed. The front staff is always friendly and professional. I worked with Haze, and if there were 10 stars, I would give it to him! Haze and his two assistants, James and David, were always attentive and on time. They were accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. Haze often went above and beyond to ease my discomfort and push me to work harder. In just weeks my lower back pain was so much better and my hip flexers were not tight anymore (HUGE difference). Two things I appreciate most: 1. Haze and the assistants always worked toward teaching me the stretches and discharged me as soon as I was capable to do it on my own; and 2. They were able to work with my inconsistent work schedule. When I was discharged from my therapy program, I was not ready to leave. This place is like one big family! I have benefitted in the extreme from In Motion's superior Physical Therapy skills and post-op care. I was recovering from total reconstruction surgery of my left ankle, atrophy and imbalance. All of which are considerably better with my comfort on my ankle and foot in many ways almost totally pain free.
