We love Beeps! This is the kind of place that's always there for you, no matter the time, and will keep you coming back. Their burgers are really good, but my favorite is the fish sandwich. I also love the curly fries, chicken nuggets, and onion rings. The crowd is fun and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Thank you Beeps, we appreciate you for sticking around for so many years and being there for us even during the hard times. Keep the burgers flipping and hot and we'll keep coming back for more. Beeps is the spot if your a burger lover. I had ordered the 1/2 lbs 2 patties and my wife the 1/4 lbs single pattie burger. Also a twinky milkshake, A Pepsi, garlic fries and onion rings. There's nothing fancy about the place and it's a hole in the wall if you blink. The burgers are juicy, tasty and big. The onion rings are some of the best I have eaten. The garlic fries were OK but a little over cooked to my liking. But the meat and bun all fresh ingredients along with everything else. They make a burger that screams come eat me along with satisfying ones craving. They put everything on it except onion and pickles. You need to ask for it while ordering along with mustard. I had them put there special sauce on the side. I'm into quality, taste, and presentation and they hit on all three. I remember, this place in the 80s and it's still around. This was worth every penny.
One of our favorite fast food burger spots in San Francisco. The burger patty is a little larger than IN and Out. It comes with lettuce, tomato, and optional onions and pickles. You can order 1/4 pound or 1/2 pound burger. The garlic fries are excellent. The fries are crispy with good garlic flavor though I seem to recall they used to have more minced garlic in the past on the fries. I also recommend the ice cream shakes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only downside is there is minimal seating area so most customers order for take away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a mini parking lot to temporary park your car and make your order.

There is an order window and a pick up window. Menu isn't the biggest but they do offer a vegetarian option and chicken. Line moves quickly. I initially saw LATRYGUY give this burger a 9.5 on his burger rating, so I knew I had to try this place out! Beep's Burger has a huge sign outside, so you cannot miss it. There is no "inside seating"; there are stools located around the restaurant where you can enjoy your food on the premises. To order, just go to the window and place your order. The menu is no-frills. For my food, I ordered two items: I got the Beeps Burger ($13.29 without add-ons), and the garlic fries. For my Burger, I did add cheese + bacon, iykyk. The burger smacked! It was so delicious; sometimes we need to break from all the smashburger craze, and this spot serves up "old-school" flavours with their burger. To top it off, that bun was so soft and pillowy --- it caught all the meat juices and kept its integrity! Now: Garlic Fries. These fries were tossed in this garlic sauce, in which you can see real flecks of garlic all in and through your fries. THESE WERE SPOT-ON. If you like garlic, you will enjoy these fries immensely. I do not recommend buying these if you're on a date. All in all, I'm very satisfied with visiting this spot. It is an SF Gem, and they are continuing to do what they've done for over 50+ years --- and it's working for them! If you're in the area, try Beeps TODAY!
Beep's is gonna do it every time! Took a visit to the City for a concert and told my homies about Beep's Burgers and that it's worth a try. I've been here a couple times in the past and each time it's always been in the late night and I think that's a factor into what makes Beep's worth it. For someone who isn't from the City, I always look forward to paying Beep's a visit if I'm looking for some late night eats. This time I ordered a 1/4 Burger with Cheddar cheese, grilled & raw onions, and pickles, as well as shared some onion rings (which we put into our burgers) and garlic fries and me and my friends were VERY content and satisfied. The bun is very soft with the burger being nice and tender. It's overall flavors with their Beep's sauce hits every time. Can't wait to be back!
Came here because I was craving a good fish sandwich, and it definitely hit the spot. The fish was hot, crispy, and topped with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and tartar sauce. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. My partner ordered the veggie burger, which came loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and ketchup. It had a nice charred flavor that he really enjoyed. We also shared curly fries and onion rings, both of which were super crispy and flavorful. To finish the meal, we got a root beer float, and it was honestly the perfect ending, refreshing and delicious. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a tasty burger spot with great comfort food sides.
Stopped by Beep's Burgers after watching Paranormal Activity at the ACT Theater and it hit exactly how you want a late night spot to hit. Came around 10pm and service was still super fast. Staff were friendly and welcoming even that late, which made the experience even better. Classic burger done right with everything coming together perfectly. Vanilla Milkshake Thick, creamy, and honestly one of the better milkshakes I have had!! Simple but done really well. Garlic Fries Crispy, fresh, and full of flavor without being overly greasy. Onion Rings Golden, crunchy, and fried just right. Beep's is an SF staple for a reason, and it is one of those spots I keep coming back to even after all these years in the city.
Drive down the bustling commercial strip on Ocean Avenue and it is impossible not to notice the enormous neon sign pointing directly at Beep's Burgers. This retro-style drive-in has been serving up some of the juiciest quarter-pounders in San Francisco since 1962, and let's not forget their perfectly crispy fries and deliciously sweet milkshakes! Be prepared to pay a premium though; inflation has not been kind to Beep's, but it is still a superior choice to the McDonald's across the street.

Pretty good burger for under $10. But at $9.75, they're cutting it really close. Their mayo/sauce on the burger adds unique character and pairs very well with their beef patties. When it comes to burgers on Ocean Ave, it doesn't get any better than this. Parking is tough and you may need to dodge a few tweakers here and there, so plan ahead. read more

F O O D: I ordered the quarter pounder with avocado (no cheese), and this thing was HUGE...to the point where I had a hard time opening my mouth wide enough to take a bite. I also asked for pickles and onions to be added. The pickles were fine, but I wish the onions had been grilled or cooked in some way--they were very strong tasting raw. Still, the overall flavor profile was satisfying and meat super juicy. I paired it with garlic fries, and let me tell you, they are NO JOKE. Super garlic and salty with tons of flavor. Both items came packaged in compostable wrap, which I appreciated BUT there wasn't a compost bin nearby that I could see. The only downside? The garlic was almost too overwhelming. Next time, I'll probably switch to the curly fries instead. That said, I'm definitely planning to try the fried chicken or grilled chicken sandwich on my next visit. Loved the food here! I got a burger and garlic fries. Ask for extra beep sauce (additional charge)! Limited spots for parking but there's street parking available. Only waited about 15 minutes for my order However, I did find a hair in my burger but it's fine! read more

Needed a late night meal, and Beep's (an iconic SF staple) was near-ish so wanted to at least try it once. On a busy night, parking might be a disaster - on a normal night, it is still pretty ehhhhh. A police cruiser was parked in a ... temporary space which made it feel safer overall but harder to do psuedo-legal turns in case they get ticket happy. Anyhow, I stood at the counter with no one else in line to put in my order for probably 5 minutes while the workers just looked at me like I needed to wait. I didn't want to be rude so I just stood there but it felt like really bad service from the get-go. After everyone else's orders were made, the man came back to the register to take my order, after which I had to wait another 5-10 min while they cooked the food. Once they were ready, they called my number, asked if I wanted ketchup, and gave me the bag to-go. ([[HIGHLIGHT]]There's limited outdoor picnic-style seating, but it was all taken when I was there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]) Upon reaching home, I was excited to try the burger. The bread is a very soft, maybe brioche-like so it added a homey feel. The patty was smash-style with burnt edges. It had a great mouthfeel though also had that carcinogenic burnt taste so I'm unsure if it was just an off-night. Ironic to wait longer for this. Overall, I think Beep's is nice to stop-by if you're in the area but definitely not as consistent as In-N-Out where you have more parking and more people in better locations so you also feel more safe. But if you're one to try all the classic burgers at least once, then Beep's is definitely one you have to try. read more

I tried Beep's Burger for the first time and thought it was just okay. As an SF native, I honestly did not realize it was considered an SF staple. Maybe it is a bit overhyped because I would not go out of my way to come back, but it is a solid option for a late-night meal. I did not however feel full after one burger. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was music playing while we ate at the only picnic table next to the tiny parking lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even at 9pm on a Tuesday, there were a good number of people eating at the stools, so it is clearly a popular spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would still recommend trying it for yourself. Not bad, but not mind-blowing either. They do give you a ton of ketchup packets though, which is a win if you are a big ketchup fan lol. It is also right by CCSF, so I can see why it is a convenient go-to spot for students. read more
Wow.. This place is not only a classic straight out of the 1950s, but a true gem serving up some TRULY terrific fries and nuggets and burgers! I've driven by the big BEEP's Burgers Neon Sign for years now, but only now did I finally stop in an order something. Friendly order takers and servers here. The kitchen was humming with a fair number of orders ahead of me. Vibe You'd expect some beat up burger joint, but this place has a surprisingly polished and clean ambiance once you step up from the bumpy parking lot. The stools and counter are brand new, and everything is totally bright and shiny inside like an In-n-Out! Wow! The Food! For our first visit, we just sampled the following: 6 piece Chicken Nugget order - They have 9 or 20 piece sizes too. The nuggets were about the same size you get at McD's, but wait.. the meat inside is all white meat, no fillers. Super tender and moist inside with a crispy-ish crust that is gentle on the bite. Perfect! Good for a light or moderate meal. TOP NOTCH! 5/5 I'd recommend the 9 piece if you are starving and are dead set on getting nuggets n' fries! Fries - you get this with your chicken nugget order - EXCELLENT fries, with just a hint of batter on them for an extra bit of crunch. I just ate these straight - no ketchup or salt needed! SO thick and good! 5.5/5!! Garlic Fries - Excellent as well, though they were a tad soggier after we got home. next time, we'll leave the lid off.. 4.3/5 Chicken Burger - can be had either with a fried or grilled chicken, Gonna have to try this next time for sure! or a 9 piece. Getting here: Drive up for the angled parking, or if coming by transit, there's a Muni K Ingleside Light Rail stops right out in front. VERDICT: We will stop by as much as we can! Finally got a chance to stop and try Beep's after hearing so many good things. The 1/4 lb burger was really good and well seasoned, I also appreciate that it was nicely constructed and not falling apart while I ate it. The only thing I'll skip next time are the curly fries, they definitely tasted like they were from frozen and not worth the price tag. read more
It took years but I finally made it to beeps burger. I don't get all the lore and hype at all. I felt like I was eating a Wendy's burger, which isn't good or bad. I spent well over $50 for two shakes, two burgers and garlic fries. The shakes were just a little too much. I should've known the Twinkie flavor would be overwhelming. It was okay at best. Maybe it was cheaper back in the day but now I'm not sure it's worth the price. FYI, there's nowhere to sit outside. There's one bench so be prepared to eat in your car or walk to the nearest park. read more

Their burgers are "smash" style. Perfectly seasoned beef patties, that you can add cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce, onions, pickles and more! Some add-ons have an additional charge ( like cheese), but it's worth it! I changed my recent order to the double, and OMG WORTH IT! I can't eat it all, but it makes great leftovers. The garlic fries are a must. They are DELICIOUS! Crispy tasty garlicky goodness. The type of fries that you'll crave. The shakes are okay, but I'm not a shake girl. This is a takeaway burger " stand" that has a few seats outside, a walk up order window. You order, they'll call your name or number ( depends on how busy they are) when your order is ready. After living in SF for 30 years, I can't believe it took me this long to try Beep's Burgers and wow, what a miss that was on my part! This place is a true local gem and absolutely lived up to the hype. I went classic with the cheeseburger, and it was everything I hoped for...juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. You can tell they care about quality. I also got the garlic fries and they were garlicky, perfectly crispy, and had that nostalgic diner-style crunch that hit the spot. The menu has more than just burgers, but honestly, the classic vibe here is what makes it special. It feels like stepping into a retro burger joint in the best way possible. My girlfriend has never been here so we had to swing by Friday night when we were around the area She did the half pound burger with French fries with a Dr Pepper I just did a chicken sandwich. Beeps has been a go to for my friends I since college! Unfortunately, today was just ok. I got the 1/4 burger (the smallest option) and paid to add on cheese, avocado, and a fried egg. ($15) I opened my burger box and immediately noticed the avocado was practically black. I took it off and took a couple bites of the burger without it and it was just okay. Maybe I was turned off by the quality of the ingredients? I'd still give it a chance another time but just disappointed on this occasion. read more

Came here 2x got the 1/4 burger and onion rings the first time and the fish sandwich and curly fries the second and they're delicious, my only critique would be the buns, a little dry and imo don't fit the burgers!? The onions rings and curly fries though fire!! Took the show crunchy great flavor. Def be back to try all the other things especially the desserts, the shakes look amazing!! read more

This is hands down now one of my favorite burger place. I got a 1/4 lb burger and now wish I got the 1/2 lb burger! This smash burger was sooo good especially with curly fries. We got there around noon on a Sunday and waited ~10 minutes which isn't as bad during their busy times. Definitely a great SF establishment with counter seatings on the outside. Parking can be difficult but we were able to quickly find one around the block. If you want to miss the crowds, I definitely recommend going within the first a few hours it opens. read more
I love going to Beep's Burgers. I came here after going to Twin Peaks and last time I came here is when I was with my friend a few years ago. My friend recommended it and said that it's good here. It doesn't have an indoor area, but does have a counter seating where you can dine in. My friend is right. The burgers here are really good and it's one of the popular burger joints in SF. Not sure what type of beef is it, but they probably used one of the best ones here. I don't recall having a shake here on my first visit, but could imagine that it's good since my friend had one. I may want to come back here again for that. read more
I ordered the 1/4 pound burger with fries. The food came out very warm. The fries were crispy and the burger was pretty solid. This place is like what Bud's Burgers is to Vallejo but for SF. Iykyk. Definitely, a solid burger joint in the city. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but it's still worth checking out. Try it out if you like. :) read more

Ummm...I just don't get the long lines here for a $12 burger that you can get at Habit for half the price. Don't even get me started on the $7 garlic fries. 20 minute wait for an average burger. Of course there's an upcharge for cheese or bacon. I literally went down the street to McDonalds to get fries and a drink to save some cash. Burger tasted average so 3 stars. read more
