After a long day of heavy driving it was a pleasure to be able to stop at 12 o'clock in the morning and get a fresh hot hamburger with my cousins. This location is sparkling clean, the staff greet with A smile, in the food came out hot and delicious. In addition to the great dressing the toasted buns make all the difference. Price per value here is most excellent!! The ease and convenience of being near a quick trip to fill up on gas and easy hop on and hop off of the freeway make this a near perfect drop and go to sate the pickiest of drivers. Been here plenty of times. Great fresh burger everything. I always have good friendly service. The place is very clean. They can have a crowd so you may have to hunt for a seat at peak hours. The fires and double cheeseburger are my favorite. I get the grilled onions on my burger. The price is cheap but the burgers is always fresh and hot. I'm new to Texas and this was a have to have on my to-eat list. I went with my husband, brother-in-law and cousin. We spent all day driving around to different places so we did not stop to eat until around 9pm. We were all starving! My husband and I ordered together. He got 2 double doubles, fries and a drink. I got a regular with fries and a drink. My cheeseburger, I only wanted onions and extra pickles. My husband didn't want lettuce or tomato. We got our drinks. He got his while I got the strawberry lemonade. Incredibly sugary! Not a bad thing for people who love a lot of sugar. I just needed to add a little water to it. (I do that to a lot of drinks so that's not a surprise.) We get our order. It was exactly what we ordered. It was my first time being there so I didn't see the ketchup counter. I walked up to the counter to ask for ketchup and they gave me packets. No issue there. We are avid fry lovers. The fries weren't that good! I added salt and ketchup and it still wasn't the greatest. Maybe it was the time we went, or something else. They were pretty hard to chew. The roof of my husbands mouth kept getting cut up from how hard the fries were. Again, maybe it's the time we went or just we aren't use to the hard fries. We come from Chicago, so the food preferences are different. The burgers were amazing! They got the order correct and it was delicious! We ate every bite! I have also returned two other times via drive thru since then. Same order minus the fries. Burgers again delicious! I was heading home from DFW via the South Exit and heading west. I was hungry. I was in a hurry. I was thinking a quick burger would get the job done. I stopped in, around noon, and ordered a double-double, an order of fries and a chocolate shake. Place was pretty busy, but food came up quick. For $3.50, I must say it's a decent burger, but the fries and shake were a total disappointment. So the beef patties are pretty measly, and that's why you need two. But the cheese and grilled onions (no extra cost) make up for a lot. It's definitely one of the best "fast food burgers" out there, but it's just not a very substantial burger. I think there are two problems with the fries. The biggest problem was they are not cooked enough, and in fact explains why I heard the person behind me order them "well done" (smart move). I also think fresh cut fries are not a good thing. I seem to recall that cut potatoes should soak in a water batch for a bit prior to cooking. I suspect this whole fresh cut idea sounds nice, but in reality it's actually a less expensive way to serve fries. Without the water bath, fresh cut fries just never seem to be as crispy as I like them. The shake, well it's the same damn shake you'd get at any other fast food place. Absolutely nothing special. The price seems reasonable, until you see the smallish cup it is served in. Bottom line: I'll still consider In-N-Out Burger as a quick fix, especially late night, but if I'm ever craving a real burger I will look elsewhere. read more

Usually love the In-N-Out Burger in Hurst, but that all changed on 6/28/21 at 6: 45 pm. I went through the drive thru and ordered the hamburger combo meal as usual with no tomatoes. I paid cash and then drove up to the pickup window and waited there atleast 12 minutes before someone finally in a mask shoved a hamburger through the window to me without saying a word to me. I pulled it in side my car and noticed, guess what ...tomatoes. The next guy said we'll make you a new one. I said no thanks, I've just now waited 12 minutes for that one and don't want to wait 12 more minutes so just give me a refund. It took another five minutes to finally get my cash back. So disappointed. If they would have given me a receipt I would have called and complained but I guess that's why they never gave me one...not today devil! read more

I'm a Californian. I'm trying not to sound like a homer, but I couldn't disagree more with some of these reviews. There's a reason why renowned chefs suchs as Mario Batali, Anthony Bourdain and Gordon Ramsay are fans. In-N-Out is about a basic, fresh, no frills burger. I want a good burger that sells itself, that's what In-N-Out does. If what you want is a giant, messy, A-1 topped, chopped cheddar, bacon grilled, jalapeno ranch, sourdough whatever their new option of the month is burger, then go to Whataburger. My standard order: double-double (animal style), fries and a drink. Animal style is their secret menu version (which not a secret anymore) of their burger with sautéed onions, melted cheese and dressing. The standard double-double is a clean, fresh burger. You can also order your fries animal style as well, but I usually prefer my fries without it. I like their fries because they are cut and made to order at that moment, lightly fried and are not greasy. If you desire more protein, you can order a 3x3 (three patties, three slices of cheese) or a 4x4. Protein style is a bunless burger. Their shakes are good, but after my order, I usually don't have room for one. The lines may be long, but they move quickly. You may dine inside, outside, in your car or take it to go. Back home in Cali, we usually eat outside; unless it's March or October in Texas, you may decide to eat inside. There's a reason why there are so many people in line. My in-laws are from Texas and love In-N-Out. I miss being home in California. I used to pick up a double-double after being at the beach. I had In and Out looong time ago in Vegas. I vaguely remember as a good burger. We ordered hamburger combo and cheese burger. It took so long to get our burger. Yeah I understand everything is fresh made but it's a fast food restaurant. Even gourmet burger restaurant made faster and waaaay thicker burger. Burger was below average. It's 50% bun, 20% tomato, 10% onion, 10% lettuce and 10% patty. And their fries were HORRIBLE! At first I thought they just gave us not-so-fresh-out-of-fryer fries. The customer service was very good, and the employees seemed to operate in a manner of genuine enthusiasm. The only thing that I didn't like about In-N-Out is their french fries, which probably rates below that of cold, microwaved french fries. I've noticed before that this is the standard with them. The abridged version is unless you get it Animal Style you aren't going to like this place. It's inexpensive for made fresh ingredients with great flavors and if you don't like it...well MORE FOR ME! :) I really like this location. I was told that it was one of the busiest in the DFW area and I totally believe it. That being said, although it is busy...it is the MOST like the In-N-Out's in California. By that I mean, the turn over in the store as far as getting people in and out (hahahah see what I did there!), the consistency of how food is made, the cleanliness of the store and the friendliness of the staff. Jon and I are both from CA, born and raised. So, In-N-Out is kind of a big deal for us. Won't lie, I had my expectations set low, everyone always says that places like In-N-Out and Del Taco are the best in their home state, and I happen to agree. But when Jon informed me that there was an In-N-Out close to home, I was thrilled to have a little piece of home out here in TX. I was VERY PLEASANTLY surprised by this location. My first worry was that they wouldn't understand my order. There is a pretty extensive secret menu at In-N-Out, and I was crossing my fingers that they would know and understand all my requests. I always get the #2(cheeseburger, fries and a drink), protein style, mustard grilled, extra lettuce, grilled onion, spread packet and chilis on the side, fries light well with cheese and a Neapolitan Shake. BIG PROPS HERE! They understood my order and my burger and fried were exactly how I like them. Jon got a Double Double, mustard grilled, animal style and protein style, animal style fries and a pink lemonade. Downsides: They didn't ask if we'd be eating in the car, so we got our food in bags when we wanted the lap mats and open boxes. Also they forgot to include the spread packet in the bag, thankfully we caught it before we left the parking lot so I was able to run back in and grab some, but had we made it all the way home with no spread, I would have been MAD! I want to say it was 4.5 star experience, but since I can't give half stars, definitely rounding up because it's In-N-Out! The look is the same, the sign, the menu, they even have the two crossed palms that you see in front of every In-N-Out. The taste and flavor is there in more ways than I thought possible, brings me back to Cali. In the end, it still doesn't taste as good as any In-N-Out back in Cali, but that probably has more to do with the Pacific Ocean Air or some crazy CA factor you can't get in TX. ;) Worth the trip, and better than any other fast food around, by far! read more
