I have had various sandwiches, soup and dessert. My choices were satisfying in price and food selections.

The employees are not friendly thier.I we ordered our food on line for my birthday 1:12pm 05/13/1972. The employees acked as the have never seen a Black American citizen man. Maybe they thought I was an alien from Planet Mars. I told one employees the names on our ordered. He then ask me the names on the ordered again.I kindly told him the names again. We took our food home ,the ham was very slimy. I called the restaurant no one picked up. The employee that was a young Occasion man was very cocky!!! He acted as he was God and I needed to bend a knee to him. Osh and the Health department Should put this place under a magnified glass. read more

Wanted some subs today, so we got the Italian, which is my go-to, and we tried the Spicy Cajun Chicken. The Italian was pretty good, but seemed a bit off in flavor. Not sure why. I put some of the black pepper sauce on it and that helped. It was really good and sweet. The Spicy Cajun chicken was ok. A little spicy for my taste, but got better once I took some of the jalapeños off. My bf wanted to try it and he enjoyed it. Overall, I like how fresh the ingredients are and how they take the time to make your sub. read more

The open sign is on and they were 30 minutes from closing. Walked in and asked if they were closed. They said yes, as I walked out their friend just sitting there laughed as I left. Lazy crew trying to get out earlier. I get it I came by 30 min before closing but there are hours for a reason. If it was 5-10 min before you close then I'd be more understanding. read more

We've never been in a Firehouse Sub. My teen son was craving a hot sandwich. WOW! So yummy! We had a bit of confusion when ordering since this was our first time here but it was remedied super quick. No big deal. We enjoyed both sandwiches and the Mac cheese but the potato soup isn't the best. Great for a dip for the sandwiches however. Very impressed guys! Full and happy tummy! I am laid up with a broken ankle and my wife was "snowed" with tasks working from home so it was DoorDash to the rescue. My wife and I were craving subs from Firehouse. We ordered on the app and waited for our delivery. Our "Dasher" John was prompt picking up our order and "dashing" it to us while our sandwiches were still warm. My pastrami 8" sub, all dressed out, was outstanding. It was one of the best subs I've had in a long time. Even though I didn't get a photo of my wife's turkey and provolone she was smiling the whole time she ate the sandwich. She said she had a VERY happy tummy. Thank you Firehouse and DoorDash for incredible food and a wonderful delivery experience. We even got to wave at our "Dasher" as he was leaving our food on the front porch. For the 4 time when asked for no mayonaise, once again they put it on my wife's sub and because apparently they fail to listen to what we are ordering, my wife says no more firehouse subs in our future period! If you order a sandwich, you better stand at the counter while they're making it and tell them over and over and over how you would like your sandwich or it will probably come out wrong. we're going back to jimmy johns and mcalister' s as we are so done with this firehouse subs. Still beyong 5 stars. Generous with the meat. Fresh veggies. The people greet you with smiles and put your food together as if they want it too look as appetizing as it tastes. This location is consistent like a Rolex never out of sync. Cleanest fast food spot off all I frequent in the DFW area. Not once have I caught them slipping and in the summer it is packed. Second time there and the last. First time was pre covid and i left unimpressed with ham. On the small side and pretty pricey for what it was. The television commercial showing the new smoked brisket cheddar sandwich sucked me in. Sounded good. First thing i noticed was no smoke flavor at all. Thin see through slices. Good brisket is never thin sliced. Grease saturated bread added to overall bad sandwich. Way overpriced and still small. Had high hopes but it didn't deliver. I' m updating my Firehouse review because I love Firehouse sandwiches. And the price has gone up since my last review. Plus I wish they would open one closer to me off of I 30 in Arlington. Firehouse has a good selection of subs to choose from starting at 5.99 for 8 inch sub... Make it a combo and they start at 8.50 with a soda and chips or cookie. The price is a little steep but you get a fair amount of meat and toppings on the sub. I do not have a favorite I like all of them. Some of them do taste the same because they are just deli meat. The service is very good at this location. The employees have good customer service training. Nice clean store good location. read more

The gentleman at the counter said I could do a build- your-own in a medium or large. I noticed later they also have a small. But I was in a hurry, after all. Veggie sandwich with mayo and mustard on the side. Well, they're so far on the side, they're non-existent. And they didn't toast the sandwich as requested. Very stingy with the veggies. You have to give Firehouse credit for what it is. It's a chain sub shop (not your local mom-n-pop deli). It's staffed by high schoolers and has a static menu. So don't expect it to beat Weinburgers. Given that, it's really great. Miles above Subway. The sandwiches are good and I love the wide array of hot sauces on the bar. I'm a big flavor guy so I usually go with the Italian. This place is packed during weekday lunch. I love the atmosphere and fire house murals they've got around the restaurant. I got their cheesesteak melt sub and thought the first few bites were pretty delicious. The rest of sandwich gets pretty old pretty fast though. The chili is a little over $3 per cup and that's just too much to pay for regular chili. I don't think I'll be returning often because this food chain just doesn't stand out over other sandwich shops. BUT the good news is, if you sign up for their newsletter, they'll give you a free sub around your birthday! :) read more

The service: The service here is hit or miss and normally miss. If I didn't like the sandwich so much I probably would not return. So nice I had it twice! Yesterday I went in to Firehouse Subs and ordered the limited time special King Hawaiian Pork and Slaw. It was fantastic! I split it in half and planned to eat the rest later but my hubby beat me to it. I was still thinking about how good that sandwich was this morning! Fortunately, I work close by and had time to eat lunch there again today and it was every bit as good as yesterday! It's a Hawaiian roll that's toasted, topped with warm, juicy & sweet pulled pork, melty cheese, and a cool and crispy slaw! I'm giving 4 stars b/c it is a little pricey, but it does last two meals for me. Another thing I like about this place is that they have one of those new soft drink machines that offers up over 100 varieties of beverages! They had around 6 flavors of light lemonade! Today I tried the King Hawaiian pork and slaw sub (to go) and was extremely disappointed. The consistency of the of the pork was in chunks, not pulled, as advertised. Only after several bites did I realize that the inside of one of the bigger chunks was raw. Not only was this unappetizing, but there are larger health ramifications to eating raw pork and now we am worried that I will become sick. We contacted the restaurant explained the quality of my sub, and then went to personally show them the sandwich. They provided a refund and asked us to call if I felt unwell later. They also said they would check all of the remaining pork in the restaurant. Despite the helpful service, this poor level of quality control is totally unacceptable. read more

Extremely overrated and not worth the money. The staff were really smarmy college aged women who acted like high schoolers with their gossip. The sandwich I got months ago was pretty piss poor and messy. I've had far better subs from cheaper places, and this franchise reminds me of a movie with a huge production and the overall its a huge mess. Underwhelming food, less than friendly staff who only care about talking to each other than making a quality sandwich. If you want to overpay for a sub then go here and be amazed with how run of the mill their food tastes. Lots of hype but overall lacks real quality. I will give them 2 stars for all the hot sauce they have there. At least they have some choice in that department, but that's about it. I feel like this place cons people into coming here with an it's fire department theme, but it takes more than a theme to make a good sandwich. Unfortunately they rely on their theme (which isn't that great to begin with) and the quality takes a back seat. Their bread has a very generic flavor and didn't knock my socks off. Their cold cuts are also heated which I was not expecting. This does not make a sandwich taste better, yet they keep doing it. I am a big Firehouse fan, and frequent the one on Alte Mere in Ft Worth. The NRH location is close to my house and I love the design and visual atmosphere, but the service has been awful both times I went. My wife and I both noticed we did not receive service with a smile either time, and that the cashiers seemed slightly annoyed to have to take our orders. We were polite to them and did not order anything strange, they just didn't really seem to want to be there at all. This could be a truly great store if they hired friendly or attentive staff members. In the mean time I will just go to the one by my work read more

I've been to many firehouse subs before. I love it! I love how they support local firefighters. However, this one made me so uncomfortable. When we walked in, the first thing the lady said to me was "we're closing in 5 minutes" like I'm supposed to just be like okay never mind and walk out???? So I simply asked if I could get it to go and she said yes. She took my order with some attitude, and then when my friend tried to order, she couldn't give him the food he wanted so he said never mind I'll go somewhere else. She proceeded to roll her eyes, take the payment and walk around the counter and lock the doors to the restaurant. I do have to say it was late and I understand that she was probably tired and wanted to go home, but taking orders is her job. I am in customer service as well so I understand but I would never treat a customer the way she treated me. I was really happy with the sandwich though. It was still very good and exactly how I ordered. The lady cooking the sandwich was very sweet. I would still recommend this place even with the horrible attitude. :) read more
