This was our second time dining in at a Chick-fil-A (first time at this location), and once again, it was so much better than the drive through experience! Service at the counter was efficient and quick, and all the staff was friendly. The interior decor is so much nicer than your typical fast food restaurants, and the materials used help to create a more hushed environment than the typical plastic surfaces. I went with the spicy deluxe -- a spicy chicken sandwich, with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, and tomato (and the little pickles). In my opinion, this is far superior to a just piece of chicken slapped between two plain buns. The coating on the chicken was good and crispy, and it had a nice mild spice to it (I added Sweet & Spicy Sriracha sauce to it, though). I thought the standard waffle fries could have used a few more seconds in the fryer, but they were just crisp enough, with good potato flavor; so I won't mark down for those. Chick-fil-a, I get it. Okay it's a hot chicken sandwich with some side dishes. Like a thousand other places but they have great ads. I love the cow with a paint brush. Now on to lunch: Del. chicken sandwich, mac & cheese, side salad, grilled chickenn and grilled nuggies. Okay first off, no sauce on the sandwiches make them very dry. Paddy on the deluxe was not a good shape for the bun. It hung over on one side and 1/3 of bun just had dry space. The Mac&cheese was baked but lacked the creamy ness of homemade. Kinda powdery. The salad was the best thing on the place. The service was great. We had a waitress ask us 3 times if we wanted anything. Great people. read more

I have been wanting to try Chick Fil A for years and I got the chance last month. I was craving a chicken sandwich. I ordered grilled chicken and a side sauce. In a word BLAND. What is all the hype about? The chicken was the size of a sparrow and had NO flavor. Even the sauces did not help. It tasted rubbery like it was sitting too long in the warmer and that made it even less appealing, At least at In n Out or at Chili's the sandwiches have taste I will never be coming back. read more

First time through this new South Salem Chick-fil-A location. It has been open about three weekWe used the drive-thru, and although the line was long, service was fast (Thank You, Grace, great job), so the line kept moving. We received our food in about seven minutes, and it was fresh, hot, and delicious. The car ordered CFA Sandwiches ($5.75 each), CFA Deluxe Sandwiches with Pepper Jack Cheese ($6.75 each) and several Mac & Cheeses ($4.49 each). There was no charge for the CFA sauces, which is kinda like honey mustard, and very good. I was very pleased with my entire experience, and expect to be returning this Chick-Gil-A many times in the coming year. It is a Great Addition to the South Salem food scene. Most of the employees seem genuine and they of course almost always say my pleasure. Stopped here for breakfast on our way back from Portland earlier today 7/15 and I have to admit that this was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a Chick-Fil-A out of the many times I have been. The costumer service and kindness as we arrived were above and beyond. The restaurant was clean, organized and the employees seemed happy to be there. There were other costumers there and it appeared that this was a community gathering spot and others felt welcomed too. As for the food itself, it was just what was needed for a long road trip. We are Oregon transplants. Having moved from the Deep South where there's Chick-fil-A abundant, I was not impressed by this location. The cashier wasn't friendly and at times spoke condescendingly to my wife. There weren't any clean tables available so we took a dirty one. The food arrived accurately in an ideal timeframe. The chicken sandwich was less a filet and more two pieces of white meat chicken oddly conjoined with fat, skin or some other undesirable "extra". This wasn't an anomaly as we had two other sandwiches at the table which were also mis-butchered filets. The soda tasted as though the flavoring box was low or out. This location would most assuredly sink among peers in the south. In fact, I'd drive to a neighboring location over this one if that were an option here. If you've never frequented a Chick-fil-A, this one shouldn't be your first in my opinion. read more

I went through the drive-thru in a green car. Unfortunately, I didn't find out until I got home that I had been given the bag labeled, "Gordon," in a white car. I had, apparently, placed too much trust in their fool-proof system. When I called the store to arrange to return for the correct order, I was connected instead to a phone tree, where I eventually was offered the opportunity to "send a report to the store," which I declined. Once I saw one of the team member take the time to check their trash because a customer had lost their phone and said he thought it could be in the trash. The managers are also great! There's nothing on it but they give you a packet of sauce of your choice, to put on yourself. Me and my husband were on a road trip when we stopped to get breakfast at this chick-fil-A. There was a staff member in the men's bathroom on his phone for over 30 minutes just watching cartoons. we ended up leaving to to use the bathroom at Starbucks. The workers name was Carols and he did not wash his hands after being in the bathroom for over 30 minutes just sitting on the toilet. We notified the other workers and they did nothing. Tried 4 different times to like this location but sadly it wasn't a typical Chick-fil-a. This Oregon nice location is the slowest one of the 4 I've visited in Oregon. The tea is AWFUL, I cannot stress enough how bad it is. I'm not sure if the franchise pays to have the training teams come in, if they did they didn't pay enough. Food is about where it should be. Time it takes is twice as long as Keizer regardless of time of day or volume in the drive thru. If you want to try Chick-fil-a in the Salem area, go to Keizer. That location is exactly what you want from this brand. read more

We waited in the drive thru for 30 minutes until we finally asked for a refund. Even that was a hassle for them. Couldn't find our order so they were having trouble refunding us. First time to a Chick Fil A - I was unimpressed. I'm giving them 3 stars because the woman at the drive thru was very helpful and pleasant. I find it grossly inefficient for workers to be standing outside taking and delivering orders. It's a waste of human effort. I waited in line 15 minutes (3 cars back) to place my order then another 15 minutes to get my sandwich. Which was delivered to my car, the only problem was there were 3 cars ahead of me so I couldn't get out. The line did not move quick enough and I ended up waiting about 5 minutes to pull out. I guess the cars in front of me were ordering for large groups? NOT. At any rate by the time I got home my grilled chicken sandwich was luke warm. The tomatoes on the sandwich were not ripe so I threw them out. The bun was a bit dry. They gave me 2 packets of honey mustard dressing which I promptly dumped in the trash as there were way too many words on the label that I could not pronounce (ie chemicals). Added my own mayo and a couple of pickles. The chicken breast was moist albeit tasteless. Sorry Chick Fil A - you did not earn my business for a future return. read more
