Some In-N-Out have gotten it wrong, but this one nailed it, and it was delicious. Here is the thing the get the drive through order up and out while your burgers sit and wait for fries that they give out to drive through first to keep that going and if you are inside you don't matter at all I watched my wife's and my burger sit up there while they filled fries for drive through for three cars then they waited for two other in orders to come up and then put all three out at same time I do not recommend this place if you are dinning in then I asked for manager and the guy said I can help never said he was manager just wanted to blow me off so I didn't speak with actual manager very shady if you ask me read more

Everyone loves In-N-Out Burger no matter what city it is. They're pretty consistent. The service is great and fast and the place is always full. If you can find a seat it's great to sit down and eat at the place while the food is still warm. I don't know how you feel about their fries, but if they're too soggy, you can ask for them to be fried a little longer so they're crispy, my go to a number 1 animal style with a Neapolitan shake. read more

I haven't had In N Out in almost two years!!! It was always close-by, but I just never wanted to wait in those looong lines I always saw EVERY TIME I drove by one. Finally, hubby and I gave in yesterday. It was on Memorial Day in the evening and we saw that the line was short! We knew it was our chance to finally taste these burgers again! The customer service is always exceptional, so that was surprising. We got our food in a very timely manner so that whole experience was positive for us. We took the food to our friend's home and everything tasted just as good as I can remember. The fries were crispy, the burger was juicy and our order was correct, thank goodness. Always packed at this location and don't expect a 5 star restroom BUT the staff is always friendly and the food is always on point. I always order a double double with no cheese. This contain two meat patties, grilled onions, pickles, and awesome sauce. I also order extra crispy fries because I prefer crispy fries rather than soft. I top it off with their Strawberry Lemonade and add a lemon or two (if the container looks like it was replenished recently.) With every bite of the burger, I also bite into a Yellow Pepper (counterside by the condiments and napkins). They are DELICIOUS and everything here goes so well together. I prefer the other Modesto In N Out - the other one on Sisk. This In N Out is close to the Costco complex. I've gotten not so hot (temperature) burgers here so I tend to avoid this location. Otherwise, the burgers are better quality fast food than your typical McDonald's, Burger King, or Jack in the Box burger. The cut their potatoes and prepare the burgers in the open kitchen. You can sit near the order counter to watch them prepare everything. In N Out's standards seem higher than other fast food places. I usually order my fries "well done." While I wasn't too crazy about their fries when I first tried them, they've grown on me over the years. They also prepare their fries animal style or with slices of cheese on top - and then they bake them - if you want. I enjoy my cheeseburger "animal style." If you're not familiar with In N Out, then I would search for "secret In N Out menu" on google. You'll find that a double double animal style is delicious. If you can eat a 3x3 or 4x4 - more power to you. read more

Wasn't going to leave a review but after putting some thought into it I felt it was something that should be shared. Had seen a roach scurry across the drive through as we waited for our order. Came home, three fries in, a roach literally crawls out of the fries. ALIVE! They had just taken the trash out (witnessed this when I was in drive thru line) so I guess one must of jumped in while they were preparing orders. Unfortunately I picked this Modesto location. It was around 6-7 pm on a Wednesday. This location was semi busy. Parking lot was flooded due to rain. Took my order in the drive through. Got my order wrong. It was so busy I didn't complain. I just wanted to eat quick then go to sleep. Then I took a bite. Bun was soggy and the meat wasn't good. Was below average for the typical franchise. Was very disappointed. Maybe it was an off night but it's been years since I've had a below average experience at an in-n-out burger. The drive-thru line went smoothly and was very quick for the amount of cars in line. Great customer service, but the food didn't taste right. When I bent down to tie my boots, a rush of high school athletes rampantly flocked through the front doors-- the line was right out the door! There is only one way in and one way out. You can leave by cutting through the gas station and coming in that way but beware for other cars leaving and coming in the other way.
