I had no idea what a 4x4 ,7x7,or an Animal Style are before my friend today told me about the secret menu. We stopped here at the InanOut located in Medesto after our Lemo Mercedes Sprinter Van took us to watch the Oakland Raiders Practice in Napa Valley. The food is good the service was kind of slow. But it's Worth the wait . My Son got the 4x4 and all 9 of us were surprised he finished it . It was 4 patty s and quite Large. Even in Modesto...Every two years or so, when we visit the mainland, this is a must have. With only three meal options, we don't need to pore over the menu and can order quickly. #1 Double: For those 35 and younger #2 Cheeseburger: Adding gooey calories... #3 Single: Just right for 50+ Burgers are juicy and hot. In an out has its own unique taste. It is good, but not the best. They used to be better a few years ago, but now everything seems overly salty and the burgers got thinner and smaller. I have been getting animal style forever, but I started to just order without the onions. What I love about this place is that they are opened until 1:30am. The fries are awesome. They have freshly brewed iced tea. And the fountain Coke is on-point. Simple menu, and inexpensive, and tasty. If you come to this location at night on a friday or saturday, it may seem like you are in one of the Fast and Furious movies. The great thing about In & Out is that you can go to any location and it's great! If you don't already know, they have a "secret menu", which they now have on their website. They will do just about anything you ask for, including a grilled cheese which has 2 slices of cheese and everything but the meat, a Neapolitan shake which has vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry in it (of course), well done fries which are extra crispy, or as many meat patties or slices of cheese as you'd like. Order a 6x6 and you'll get a burger with 6 meat patties and 6 slices of cheese! Order a 2 x 4 and you'll get 2 meat patties and 4 slices of cheese! Order a protein style burger and you won't get a bun! Order animal style and you get a mustard beef patty, pickle, extra spread, and grilled onions! Order animal fries and you'll get fries with cheese, spread, grilled onions, and pickles! None of this is on the store menu, but they'll ring right up if you asked for it. read more

My favorite In-N-Out because it's convenient to park, the staff is always so nice and it's so clean!!! Rarely see stragglers hanging out here so we could eat outside with the kiddos. The only downfall is the exit of the drive thru. read more

You can't get a fresher burger or better customer service at any other burger chain. Customize your entire order and they will serve it with a smile. They never get my order wrong, and they are as efficient as possible. At the Pelandale location the drive-through is a little funky these days, so follow the signs for sure. read more

But honestly, they get cars through there very efficiently, considering how busy they get. It's fresh, the employees are always nice, and it's affordable! I'm giving this In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Modesto 5 stars because of the A+ food quality and the service! I had a takeout order for like 10 different orders that consisted of burgers, fries, and milkshakes with all of these kinds variations and Jose (I think it was his name) was so accurate and got every single modification I said on the first try. When the order was ready, everything came in 3 boxes and 3 bags with all of the fries. Jose ensured everything was in the boxes and graciously helped me carry everything to my car! I really appreciated his kindness. As always the burgers and fries didn't disappoint.
