Our server talked me into it anyway, and I'm genuinely grateful. It's a short rib and stew situation with gnocchi that somehow hits every note perfectly. Total convert now. And the s'mores pie to close out the night? Simply perfect. Don't skip it. The service was great too, our server clearly knew the menu inside and out and steered us exactly right.

They were so incredibly soft and pillowy. They honestly didn't even need the bread and butter! I was most excited for the baked ricotta, but unfortunately it was a disappointment for me. Ricotta is a very mild cheese to begin with, but I tasted absolutely zero flavor from it and it was mostly just adding a textural element to the bread. The fig walnut guanciale jam was overpoweringly sweet and the guanciale was also nonexistent. Overall, what I expected to be a flavorful combination, fell pretty flat and bland for me. Onto the main, I got to try the Block burger and the house made gnocchi. The burger was a standard burger, nothing too crazy. I was surprised the patty was actually moist because it was cooked well done. The same jam from the baked ricotta was used, so wasn't a big fan of it because again the overwhelmingly sweet didn't do much to elevate the burger. I also missed any flavor from the truffle cheese sauce. So it was a pretty average burger. My gnocchi definitely tasted better than it looked. Another friend also got the same dish and it looked like they just split our portions in half and served it on two separate plates. In general, I wasn't a big fan of this dish. The braised short rib was very tender, but the whole plate sat in a pool of salty sauce. I couldn't really make out any other flavors. The scoop of crème fraiche tasted exactly like sour cream and was not the consistency that I expected. The gnocchi's were made well, but I prefer mine a little firmer. However, this is complete personal preference. Overall, service was good, but food fell severely short of what I expected. I was so excited for all of these elevated flavors and ingredients, but, sadly, none of them came through.

He brought them out but from the time ordered to the time we ate was about an hour, and for the correct food to come out took even longer. The food itself was pretty good, meats had great flavor and the milenesa when it came out was hot and juicy. The meats didn't need any dipping sauce because they were that well seasoned. Dessert we had the lemon "cheesecake" which was just a lemon cake with a cream cheese type frosting, not at all what you think of with a cheesecake.

I doubt this review will have an affect on anyone, but maybe, just maybe this will save one soul out there from being suckered into this crap. First to fully understand in and out you have to understand the California mindset. California is the Texas of the democratic camp. If they could break off and become their own little country the would. In and Out is a product of the "California Image" I'm talking the beach boys, hollywood, billabong, pacsun, surfing, Lords of Dog town, hipsters, circa 1990's ska bands like Real Big Fish, and the 60's diner mentality all rolled into one. What I mean by this is the ONLY reason people give In-N-Out good reviews is because of it's image. It has absolutely nothing to do with the food. Admittedly the animal style double-double is pretty good, but that's just their burgers. Their fries are so awful I don't know how people put them down. They'r the potatoes with the texture and consistency of Calamri. Potatoes and Calamari are both tasty in their own right, but when one starts to replicate the other there's a problem, but I digress. In-N-Out is liked simply because of the image that goes along with it, because it's trendy. For those of you that live in Orem you may be familiar with Sammy's in Provo. Sammy's is loved for THE EXACT SAME REASON. It's the trendy place. I don't go to a restaurant because it's trendy. That's retarded. I go because it's tasty. That being said In-N-Out sucks. I only hope this can help save at least one person from the soul consuming piece of crap vortex called In-N-Out. read more

One of my favorite burger places and I am picky! I love how they keep it simple and make it in front of you. Even when it is busy they get your food out decently fast. The prices are good and so is the quality. The staff are friendly and it's clean usually when I go in. You can also go outside and they will call you over the intercom. read more

I don't expect a fast-food restaurant to be gourmet, but a Greek-owned restaurant should be able to make a decent gyro. This wasn't merely mediocre; it was genuinely unpleasant.
