It's weird, man. This is, like, the best place in town for a burger and milkshake when you're baked. If you're not baked, the food is just okay. I don't know how they do it, man. I don't know how they can tell when you're high, and then give you the awesome food; and how they can tell when you're not high, and give you the mediocre food. It must be the tone of your voice when you order, man. Like they've got a bake-o-meter inside that measures your voice for stoned-ness. And I don't understand the business model at all, man. I mean, I'm personally more discriminating when I'm not high, and way less forgiving, dig? Why would they serve me the inferior food when I'm straight? It seems like, uh, uh, uh, like THAT's when you'd want to give people the awesome food, man -- when they're straight. And you'd want to give them the just okay food when they're stoned, and anything you serve is going to be good. But In-N-Out does it the opposite way. It's fucking weird, man. read more

Never in my life did I think In n Out would just blankly hand me a cheese burger with mold all over the buns without a hesitation, it wasn't even hidden or covered, it was in the open and plain sight. As soon they handed me my order I could see the mold, which means they knew and did not care about their produce. I know the difference between mold and just black burn marks from the grill. green and fuzzy was what it was. I called to complain and all they said was they were going to send me gift cards and that they were sorry. I get there are mistakes made but the staff clearly did not care nor did they think to make a new burger because of the rush line. I haven't had to deal with such disrespect in a long time. I blame the staff at the Redding location. they should care more about their customers and what they are serving them. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience at the In-N-Out in Redding, CA. The employees were not well trained, were slow, weren't very friendly, and continued to prepare orders out of order. I think it's ridiculous for a single cheese burger protein style to take 20 minutes to make. Other customers in line that arrived 10 minutes after me were getting served first. I talked to a customer there who waited for thirty minutes just to get two number 1's to go. Something is really wrong with the management at this location. They had at least 20 people working, so they weren't short staffed-- instead they just weren't managing their time or orders very well. Very disappointed, will not return to this location. read more

Each time I log into Yelp, it asks me to review my recent trip to In-n-out. It's not because I'm lazy, I just go to a lot of in n outs. and they are all exactly the same. In fact, I'm going to copy and paste this into my review of every in n out, because no matter how many times someone has said "this is the best in n out burger I've ever had", the truth is each in n out experience is more or less identical... with varying levels of sobriety. The burgers are amazing, the fries could always be a little better (well done), they're typically running low on lemons by the soda machine, and the pink lemonade always leaves those funny flakes inside your cup. Below average soggy burger. SHORT STUBBY FRIES, WORTHLESS. The Redding one is busy because it gets people on I-5 and Oregon, otherwise it would be a normal burger place, if not below average. INO is the cool place to be seen despite the below average food. Cheap and just above McDonalds in quality. I would only go there if 5 guys and the Habit burned to the ground or some East Coast friend came to visit and wanted the novelty of making fun of people wanting to be seen at INO because it was the thing to do. In N Out has always been tasty for us. Enjoyed another double-double over the weekend. I try not to eat fast food too much (minute on the lips, lifetime on the hips) but this place has darn good burgers. I tried the fries "animal style" this time and didn't care for it much. you cant drive thru redding and not stop at in n out. we moved from orgeon just so we could have in n out on a regular basis.. only one problem with this location and that is that its the last stop north and first stop south so it is always packed. well its worth the wait and they do their best to get you thru. qaulity is always top notch even for being swamp at all hours. read more

The line was a 45 minute and when I got my food, it was cold, when I asked for warm fries, the employee said alright one second and came back 15 minutes later and asked what I wanted. I was starving, took my first bite... and my burger was cold with a hard bun. Then I reached for the fries, hoping they'd redeem the meal, but they were cold too. At that point, I seriously considered turning around, but after already waiting 30 minutes, I just couldn't bring myself to get back in line. So I ate a cold dinner and kept driving. The staff deserves credit for being kind and professional, but the food should match the wait. If customers are waiting that long, they should at least receive hot, fresh food. I love In-N-Out, and this is the first location that's let me down. I hope management takes a look at their food quality and timing because this restaurant can definitely do better.

Really enjoyed this! I had the BBQ mix which had chicken, short ribs, and beef. The meats were…read morebarbequed very well. Great flavor without drying out the meat. Also enjoyed the macaroni salad. Staff was friendly. The plate also came with choice of sauces. It was a tasty and filling plate. Good value as well.
