Had a fantastic dinner here on Friday evening. Started with drinks at the bar, great bartender, then moved to our table upstairs on the outside patio. It was a nice, cool evening so it was perfect to dine outside. We had a great server, Chloe, who was friendly and attentive & made sure our dining experience was perfect all around. We had the Chicken Caprese Sandwich and the Lamb Burger, both excellent and the Cheese Curds were addicting. Highly recommend the King Estate Pinot Grigio, so light and refreshing. For starters, the restaurant and restrooms were very clean. The ambiance was perfect and the service was phenomenal. We had just taken our daughter to a water park so we were dressed rather casual. Albeit very casual and partially wet front the water we were greeted immediately and seated outside. I love Al fresco dining which they offer with misters on their outside patio. Our little one got to run around while we waited on our order. The craft root beer and burgers were top notch. I ordered the GOAT burger with arugula and bacon jam. It did not disappoint. My husband got the widow which was also quite delectable. Both burgers were cooked perfectly and the flavors complemented each other. Little notes of arugula, salty bacon, sweet jam, goat cheese, beef combined with a buttery fluffy bun made it a masterpiece. I upgraded to the duck fat and Parmesan fries. These are must try. Better than any fries I've had in NYC, SoCal Italy Germany or anywhere. Their fries were hand cut, the herbs and Parmesan were so fresh and drizzled with duck fat oil just sent them over the top. My husband upgraded to the cheese curds which were perfect as well. Their house ranch was also great and I'm a ranch snob. We were hungry and were served quickly with a smile. Good place for a pint and bites after hiking at Whiskeytown! Had the Blackberry Blonde from Etna Brewing which was pretty balanced and refreshing with a hint of blackberry. For food, they were out of a couple items so we had to pivot and opted for the ruben with side salad and seared ahi tacos. The ruben was warm and tasty while the salad was big enough to split, they even gave us two different dressings. Jen is amazing as always. We love when she serves us! We tried the wings, which were delicious. The had a spicy peanut sauce. I was surprised how big they were and so tender! The bones literally fell out when you picked one up to eat. I asked the server what they were brined in, because that's the only way to get wings that tender. The cook she asked gave her a flip non answer. So I asked to speak to a cook on my way out. Turns out they bring them in cooked. Then re-fry them with a rice flour coating and toss in sauce. This explains why they are not at all crispy. I mean they were still good but I just expected more from pipeline I guess. read more

We just arrived in Redding from a long road trip so we were all starving and excited to eat. The hostess and waitress were both very kind which was a great start to the dinner. It was two stories but the top floor was full, so we sat in a booth next to the bar. It was pretty packed even though there was less than an hour before closing. I ordered the Widow, which came with a bacon burger blend, jalapeños, havarti cheese, and jalapeño aioli on a pub bun. The bun was buttery and pillowy soft, and was came as a surprise to me was that the jalapeños were deep fried and very crispy. It wasn't what I expected but I wasn't mad about it either. I just didn't like how salty the burger was... and I love salt. So to the average person, this was probably inedible but I powered through it because I was starving and used the fries as a palette cleanser. If it wasn't salty though, this would be a really good burger with how creamy and cheesy it was. read more

I came as part of a group for lunch after church. There was a good amount of people in our group. The place is very large. There's two floors of seating on the inside, and also a patio. We all sat on the patio. Everything was very clean, the chairs were comfortable, and they had heating which was nice. Overall, service was good. They came back periodically to check on us, a couple of times, somebody had to ask again to get something, and I had to specifically ask for a refill on my soda. But overall, it was good A couple of the people in our group ordered the shareable, peanut chicken wings, and passed them around for others to try. I had one and they were delicious. The chicken was very tender, the peanut sauce was savory with just a tiny bit of a kick to it. For my meal, I ordered the seared Ahi salad. It was delicious. All of the veggies were very well done, the avocado was creamy, I liked the wonton strips that provided a little crunch, and the tuna was amazing. Perfectly seared on the outside, and nice and rare on the inside. you could tell it was a good quality tuna. The only problem was , that the dressing was very spicy. At the very top of what I like for spicy. Unfortunately, I didn't see it when it was listed as spicy on the menu, and then to top it off, I didn't try it before I just poured it on my salad.. One of the servers heard me talking about it, and offered to replace it, but I said no, because I was almost done with it anyway. It would not have been fair, but it was nice of them to offer. The price was reasonable, however, because we were a large group, there was an automatic 25% tip, apparently up from what what they used to charge of 18. I could see 18 to 20% for an automatic tip for groups, I thought 25 was a bit on the high end. Not only that, they also charge an extra 3% for paying with plastic. I really loved the food here. The burger (jalapeño) was a little spicy, meat well seasoned, soft bun. All perfect. But the duck fat fries were my favorite. So delicious. I will say the service is a little slow, maybe because it's super busy. And it's pricy but not more so than anywhere else these days. I love the decorations and the ambiance. Okay wow! Random find when we were in town and we were so impressed. The ahi bowl was so good! My sister got burger with goat cheese and it was incredible. Pipeline Craft Taps is a welcome addition to Redding's growing restaurant scene. We started out with a really smooth Chardonnay from Mazzocco Winery and two small appetizers of Cheese Curds and the Mystic Mac and Cheese. The curds had a light golden fried crust and a deeply satisfying squishy center. Their Mac is a combination of Gruyère and Dubliner cheeses, so it's a very heavy sauce, topped with Panko. Both were ideal for a cold, rainy day. My only note is the curds deserve more interesting dips (sweet, spicy, savory). For entrees we got the G.O.A.T.Burger (medium) and a Pub Burger (medium well). They were PERFECTLY COOKED and the JUICIEST burgers we've had in years. Hubby said the goat cheese was a great pairing with the bacon-onion jam. For the Pub Burger, my only note is the garlic aioli on the Pub was overpowering (I'll get it on the side next time). Every member of the service team was nice and personable. read more

Others in our party arrived early and we had a seat right away. The Pipeline has been only open a few weeks and already has a great reputation. This was our first visit. This was our second visit. We were greeted right away and seated in a booth by the friendly hostess. The table was dirty so we used our napkin to clean it up. We remember loving the cheese curds the first time but weren't sure about the rest. I ordered the beet salad and was offered protein to top it so I chose chicken breast. The curds were great and the salad was ok. So much lettuce compared to the other ingredients. It's a beet salad and there weren't many beets. The chicken was not good - lukewarm at best and very dry. Cold chicken would have worked for me but not the in between that I got. Got the feeling it wasn't fresh. I would have told our server so I could maybe get a different piece but she never came by until we were ready to leave. Randy ordered the southern fried chicken sandwich with an extra side of the aoli. He said it was ok, nothing special about it. His chicken was juicy and thick, though. Pipeline has a very cool location and building. The cheese curds were good I'd give them a 6.5 out of 10. The lord of the rings burger definitely disappointed, it says onion rings piled high and I had to look to see if there was onion rings on it, which there was not just sautéed onions. It was also very salty. I give it a 3.5/10 The widow burger was a vast improvement over the lord of the rings it was decent and I'd give it a 5/10 better than in-n-out but not great. The duck fries would've been really great. Have they not been over salted I'd give them a 4/10 have they not been way over salted I probably would've given them a 7/10 Also, the way they have the water sitting on the table is cool, but it is warm. We went here for a casual work lunch, the atmosphere was really nice and clean. Exposed brick and wood beams. They do not take reservations and the place isn't huge. We had 7 of us and I think we may have taken their biggest spot available inside, maybe 8. But that was inside I'm not sure what they could accommodate on their outside patio area, but again they don't take reservations so you'd have to time it just right! Excellent burgers. Fantastic Duck Fat Fries. Plenty on tap. I asked a local peer of mine and they said this was the best place for a burger lunch in town.
