When we arrived, they were slammed... yet still, when it was our turn to order they treated us like we were the only people that mattered at the moment. They were patient and helpful with our large group order and dietary restriction. They even made sure the little one in our group received an in-n-out hat. To the owner of this location you need to talk to your hiring manager about the guys running the drive thru line. Can't figure out which car should go first, a kid asked my order then cut me off and said he's going to the other car (behind me opposite lane) first. Resulted in 2 cars in the right lane skipping mine that were there after me. Normally I don't care but the other kid taking my order next didn't apologize for it he just said his friend messed up the line and that I can't move my car until they go which weren't done with their order yet. So we're all just sitting there with no one moving. I tried the well done fries and I prefer regular, I also learned that I'm able to get animal sauce in those packets. The milkshakes are thick and this location is my favorite in n out to go to. The best thing about any in n out is it's consistency. Having said that, this spot consistently gives me inconsistent fries. It sounds silly to say out loud, but for a place that makes burgers and fries, it is a big part of the equation. To clarify, I go here more times in a month than I'd care to admit. When I do, the fries are regularly soggy, so I've started ordering my fries well (more time in the fryer). The problem is that while this usually fixes the problem, sometimes chips come out the other side. I've never had the experience at the dozens of other in n outs. For the second time at this location, my burgers have come out raw. Picture doesnt do much justice, but theres a big difference when theres a light pink center compared to a red raw center on the burger patty. In addition, I asked for a Flying dutchman and they gave me a protein burger... telling us its the same thing. No it is not... this location needs some serious training. I delayed going to this burger joint during our last vacation because the line was SO LONG. On the last day, I knew we couldn't procrastinate any longer and pulled into the drive thru. Size, texture, how it's cooked, the bun (the bun!) and the toppings all work together perfectly. Scrumptious. Why did I wait until the last day?!? Ugh. It's hard to top In-N-Out when it comes to freshness, consistency, customer service and value. I know all about the fries and the issues some have with them (I don't care for them so I just don't order them). What I love though is that every location of In-N-Out that I've ever visited, and it's been a lot of locations, has been extremely consistent in delivering a top quality product with enthusiasm and a smile. The freshness of the produce, beef and bun is what draws me in the most, but the customer service and fair pricing keeps me coming back. For the record, I like to limit calories a little, so I order a regular hamburger with onions and substitute ketchup and mustard for the spread. Very tasty and only around 300 calories. I would note that this location is particularly busy as it is very close to major university. This shouldn't deter you from trying it out though, just expect there to be limited seating during the lunch hour especially. read more

Wow! I was expecting this location to be busy due to its proximity to the ASU main campus but I greatly underestimated it. Upon walking inside, I could see there were no available tables inside or outside to sit down and the standing room for carry out orders was shoulder to shoulder. Also, finding the entrance to this location can be a little confusing. That being said, I proceeded inside to place my order (Plain Double/Double combo) and waited patiently with everyone else. Even though they were slammed, the staff was still friendly and I received my order in a timely manner (hot and fresh). Now, I don't know what the story is, but this trip was not up to par on the taste of my burger. I think it didn't have enough sauce on the burger. My girlfriend and I came in on 5/6 at 8pm. In n out is amazing!! It always hits and I will keep coming back for more. The reason it's not 5 stars is purely due to security. After lunch today I realized I have never reviewed In n Out, after about 20 or so meals at various locations I have come to the same conclusion... It's good This local on Scottsdale Rd near the 202 is the closest to my house and the most visited. I have often tried to estimate just what kind of sales are happening here because its always so busy. One thing for sure is its a big staff in that kitchen, counters and service windows so the service is always up to par, often better. For what it is the Double double combo, coming in near 9 bucks, isn't a bad deal especially when you take into account the fries are good and so is the burger, made with quality ground beef and super fresh toppings. Most of the time our order is on point at In and Out. It's our go to spot. We have had a few instances but overall a solid spot. While on travel I discovered I wasn't far from this location, and I was excited to visit since we don't have In-N-Out where I live. Extremely disappointed in the quality of the food! The fries were cold and disgusting, and the burger was nothing special. I regret going there, and not taking a picture of the fries before throwing them in the trash. The drive thru was LIT (Hehe, LIT) and the tables outside were all occupied. We made it inside and surprisingly there were a few empty tables. Ordered the usual. A double double with no lettuce or tomato and with my fries well done! My friend ordered a double double with grilled onions! The tables were all pretty dirty and they looked as they hadn't been cleaned in probably a while, yuck. In n out is great no matter what location you go too. The menu is simple. This is two patties with cheese, tomatoes, onions nestled between two ends of a great bun.
