I had lunch at In-N-Out Burger, and it was actually the first time I had ever had a burger at one. Founded in 1948 by Harry and Esther Snyder, In-N-Out Burger opened California's first drive-thru in Baldwin Park. Today, the family-owned chain is famous for fresh, made-to-order ingredients and an iconic "Secret Menu." Being the first time, I went with the classic "Double-Double" combo, $10.50 with some animal sauce on the side. You can see everything is made-to-order; their restaurants are clean, everyone's friendly, and they are very busy. The burger was good; with the animal sauce, it added a much better version of the Big Mac and would be my choice in a head-to-head battle. Very friendly staff and great burgers. The price is so good for the amount of food you get. We also like that they have puppy patties for pets. Our dog absolutely loves them for special occasions. Bring from the remaster coast and with a group of teenagers, we had to find an In and Out Burger ! We were staying in downtown and took an Uber to the Camelback location. Be careful to use the correct address of the actual restaurant since another group we knew went to the In and Out distribution center in Phoenix when they did a quick search for the address. Around 8:45 pm 4/25/26 I went through the drive-thru and ordered a four by two protein style with extra grilled onions. The attendant hastily accepted my order and sent me to the window. By the time I arrived they said I did not order it protein style which was adjusted to match what I wanted. I receive my order at the next window and when I arrived home it did not have any grilled onions with it. If I'm going to be paying over 9$ for something like a custom order I would at least like for it to be correct. I feel the issue stems at the drive thru lane where the attendant is not as familiar with the ordering portal as he should be to be out there expediting the long line. We love In-In-Out Burger! We arrived in Phoenix after a flight from Jacksonville Florida. Next to our hotel we noticed In--N-Out Burger and said "heck yeah we are going"! We don't have any in our region. We love the burgers, fries and shakes! We were there at 3pm and the place was packed. Also must have had 30+ cars in the drive through. After a long flight from Washington DC to Phoenix in April 2023 to start a family spring break vacation trip, my two teenage sons (17 yrs, 15, yrs), wife, and I drove right to this In-N-Out burger. This convenient location on 20th Street is about 10 minutes from the airport (take Route 51 north toward Paradise Valley), but I imagine it can get very crowded here during peak hours due to the limited number of dedicated parking spaces and "zig-zag" route for drive-thru access during peak hours. If parking availability is limited, there's some overflow parking in the adjacent strip mall. My sons each devoured a "Double Double" and Cheeseburger right away (starving after a 5 hour flight with modest snacks may have played a role). I also enjoyed my cheeseburger ("protein style" - without bread, just lettuce wrap). My wife loved her hamburger and asked if we could return before we leave Arizona. I think In-N-Out sources their lettuce directly from California producers, which means that it seems a bit fresher than on the East Coast. I'm not quite sure what it is about these burgers, but they are super tasty and satisfying. Service is fast from taking your order to pickup. One really nice thing about In-n-Out burger is the simplicity off the menu. It really helps to speed up the ordering process. This location was pretty clean - an impressive feat given the volume of people going in-n-out of this location. One minor blemish is the older design and cramped space of the men's restroom. read more
