Yesterday afternoon I walked in at In Style Nails on the recommendation of my hairstylist, to ask about their services and even though they seemed quite busy I decided to go ahead without any waiting to have both a spa pedicure and shellac manicure and I was totally happy with both. Kelly was my nail technician and when I asked how long it would take for both procedures (1.5hrs), she started with the spa pedicure and did an amazing job and then did an equally amazing shellac manicure as well. She was very gentle with my cuticles and in exfoliating my heels. I've been to othe nail salons where they file down too much of my nail bed and are too rough in filing the callouses on my feet to were my feet have bleed, not good! I had been going to another salon for my SNS Gel manicures (on the pricey side) that lasted 4 weeks (and still looked great) & pedicures for over a year and when I found out that the technician had left...I was disappointed to say the least. Finding a good nail salon & technician is like finding that perfect hairstylist...you want to stay with them forever. On a friend's recommendation, I tried In Style. They gave me the best and longest lasting shellac manicure I've ever received. I'm at a solid 2 1/2 weeks out and there isn't a single chip or lift, and the shine is as fresh as the day I had them done. I just moved here from California and tried In Style Nail Salon based on Yelp reviews and Myst say that it is, without a doubt, the friendliest, most efficiently run nail salon I have ever been to.. Hang was my manicurist and explained in detail all choices available to me as well as prices. I decided to try the shellac nails and am 100% impressed and convinced that this is a top quality product. Gel nails never worked for me because I'm very hard on my nails but these look more natural than gel or acrylic nails and are extremely strong. Never a disappointment here. Very reasonably priced, such a friendly place...they never forget a face. Every employee speaks very good English and rarely speak in their native language when with a customer (this is often an issue for many, as it makes customers feel as though they are speaking about them when going back and forth between languages) very clean establishment and I have never had a tech do anything except an exceptional job. Recently moved to Denver from Oklahoma and quickly discovered that SNS nails aren't very popular here. I tried gel nails and after the application, my nails were still very soft and easily bent. Within a couple of days I had broken 3 nails. Got on Yelp to research and found In Style. Even though it's quite a distance from where I live I decided to give it a try. I was pretty much desperate! What a terrific experience. After consultation I decided to try silk nails, and boy am I ever happy with them. My nails feel very strong and look great. Both owners came over to introduce themselves and welcome me to their salon. There were 2 TVs (a plus) and soft music playing. Julie was very meticulous with her work and questioned me along the way to be sure she was doing what I wanted. The upcharge ($10!!) for paraffin was a disappointment. She told me the salon had recently been updated and it really showed. My only suggestions would be to use a disposable liner for pedis. It costs a bit more, but is very reassuring to clients. Also, the salon I used in OKC gave a neck/shoulder massage with any deluxe treatment. That was a special treat that set them apart and kept clients coming back. Overall an outstanding experience. My mom has been raving about this shop, especially about how awesome the owner Ken is, for a long time- so I finally took the plunge to try a new nail spot/tech. I had an extremely pleasant and positive first-time experience today. Super clean, tons of great shellac colors to choose from (DND matching polish & shellac gel is my fav.) and very nice techs. Hang gave me an awesome acrylic shellac rebase and an even better "Jelly" shellac pedicure with hot stones, soft paraffin wax and a very long leg/foot massage. She made sure my acrylic side/bottom edges were even (if you have long nails, you know what I'm talking about!) and took her time to make sure my nails were properly taken care of; she didn't rush through one step. The pedicure included an Aloe "flavored" gelatin-like substance that coagulates the water and feels absolutely incredible on your feet and between your toes, and leaves your skin much softer than the regular standard pedi powder. It was an hour long and I loved every bit of it! I can't believe I've been getting a "pedicure" somewhere else for years, missing out on the real thing! Seriously, it does not compare. Also, I very much appreciate the fact that the techs held conversations with their respective clients rather than talk to each other during appointments/in front of customers. Things like that make for an elevated experience. Another thing to note; if you read through the reviews, you'll notice the few with less than 5 stars are addressed head-on by the owner, taking full responsibility and apologizing for anything less than perfect, with no excuses, asking the customer to come back so they can correct the issue and make them happy. I've never seen a nail shop business owner do that without placing blame on the client or responding with some sort of smart-aleck comeback. They treat every client like they matter. Love that- it shows that the owners have integrity and just want to provide a positive experience to the customer even if it's on their dime. I am so glad I found this place! After my old nail place closed down, I tried a couple other local salons. I was never satisfied, until I found In Style nails. For my first visit, Ken got me in right away to fix acrylic nails I had gotten somewhere else. He has a tremendous attention to detail, and my nails turned out fabulous. The salon is very clean and modern- I love it! Ken also seems to be a great business man. He knows EVERY SINGLE customer's name, which is really quite impressive. I have been going to this salon for a few years and I love it. I sometimes have to wait which can be frustrating but my nails always look awesome. I usually seen kiwi but recently switched to Hang because I like having Monday appointments. Hang does a wonderful job on nails and eyebrows. No place is perfect but this place is pretty close in my opinion. Ken and Sylvia are always watching making sure everyone is beautiful taken care of. And the place is very clean! I'm a huge fan!!! Sylvia & Ken run a great salon, and they've kept my nails looking good for 10+ years. People often comment on how great my nails look. I've always found In Style Nails to be a great value for high quality work, so I'm surprised that some reviewers complain about the pricing. I've always been truly impressed with their knowledgeable and creative approach to successfully solving problems (i.e. repairing a bad break or fixing a painful, cracked toenail). I really love this place they do a great job and the atmosphere is amazing and updated, able to accommodate a large group due to the amount of seating and staff, and they have a ton of colors to pick from! The only downfall is it can be very expensive as mine was $80 without tip for their "best pedicure" (with paraffin wax) and a very basic shellac since I can't paint my nails in any fancy matter for my job. My mom and I came to this salon for some pedicures and were both very surprised at the rave reviews. The nail color selection was minimal and it was the quickest pedicure we both have ever received. Some of the technicians are very nice. But more often than not they are not friendly. My technician today got mad that I didn't want to upgrade to a spa pedicure and completed my pedicure in twenty minutes. She left me sitting in my chair without offering to move me to the dry station and didn't even help me put on my flip flops. Everyone who works there is very friendly and after a few repeat visits they know your name. They are a bit pricier than some places, but it matches the quality of their work. It's a relaxing and casual (clean as well) environment with radio playing in the background and a TV if you have a must see show on I'm sure they'd change the channel for ya. Then there's the two little dogs running around who are quite well behaved and friendly as well. My mom and I have been going here for a long time now, and whenever I have to stray from them due to being out of town and such, I always return to them so they can fix the mess I got elsewhere. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because the French tip wasn't perfect but still happy with overall experience.
