I always find this place super reliable when it comes to appointments they're on time, and every nail tech I've had has done a really solid job. It's not a super fancy spa-type of nail salon, but it's clean, consistent, and they've got the classic massage chairs for pedicures and manicures, which is always a plus! One small suggestion: when I pay for extra services like the 10-minute foot massage, I personally prefer if it's done without gloves. I totally understand if the techs don't feel comfortable, but it's just something I like when I'm paying for that hands-on experience. Overall, great service and friendly staff. Pro tip: bring cash for tipping! It's the easiest and most appreciated way to show love to your tech definitely worth hitting the ATM before your appointment. read more

Let me start my review by saying that this nail salon is either hit or miss. It is not that welcoming, like most nail salons that I have been to. I only go here, if and when I am directly close to this area & in desperate need. I live close by, but I go to different salons and get better treatment and better pampering. Which I love! Starting with the owner, the minute you walk in, he looks at you like why are you here for?? I have been to this salon quite a few times before, I keep this nail salon for an emergency use. With that being said, I was there on the 12th of September and as I walked in, the owner of the salon is always right by the door/counter/register. No hello, no smile, until you have to tell them what is it that I need? Why am I there for? All I needed was a regular manicure. I have also done pedicure here in the past maybe 8 times . So mani/Pedi. I told him I need a manicure and he is just starring at me like he saw a ghost or something. This happens every time. They do accept walk-ins like most places do. So I got myself situated on one of their chairs and comes my nail technician Hannah and starts to do my nails. She was quick, knew her job well, and that's all I can say about her. It is your typical nail salon with nothing special going on. Employees are friendly with their regular customers. So, I am EXCLUDED from that category. After my nails were done pretty and shiny, I wanted to take few pictures of random things at the salon so I can post it on Yelp after my review. As I got close to take a picture of this mirror that was somewhat interesting on their wall, my back was turned, and another technician literally jumped on me and attacked me by saying WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? Not only did she scare me, but I felt attacked and violated. I tried explaining to her that I want to post few pictures on Yelp and give you guys a good review. She said, you need to ask first, I said I think I have enough decency and proper manners/etiquette's to ask first, but everyone these days, write reviews on Yelp and post photos. She wouldn't want to listen or budge. Very rude & disrespectful!! Kept saying no, but I still took a photo of the mirror and other things. As I approached to the most friendly owner in the nail salon industry, he charged me $23.00 and I have noticed that they went up on the price only for manicure by $2.00. I didn't know that. I told him what happened and he apologized like 3 times on his employees behalf. Apology coming from him was HUGE!!! Place is clean, and they have ample parking spaces shared with 4 other businesses. We will see what happens, whether I will go back again or stick to my PERFECT NAIL SALON in Sherman Oaks where everyone is truly welcomed!! read more

I've been a loyal client of this nail salon for over 12 years. Yesterday I called to see if my usual nail tech was available around 4pm. The owner, Vicky, simply said "No, she's not," and hung up before I could even respond. There was no attempt to offer another time, suggest a different day, or help in any way. I didn't even get the chance to ask a follow-up question. After more than a decade of being a regular customer, the interaction felt dismissive and incredibly disappointing. Customer service and basic courtesy matter, especially when someone has supported your business for so long. read more

I've been coming to In Style Nails for about a year now. I'm always greeted friendly by Tom at the front :) Helen is a perfectionist and has always done an incredible job on my manicure EVERY time! I've been going to this place for the past 20 years but today not Mary but another lady did my nails which she did an awful job. When I asked her to fix it she added 2 more coats of color on my nails which still they didn't look clean and right. I showed it to the owner and the owner told me that I made a mess myself which I told him no I didn't do anything. I tried to show him what was wrong with my nails which he just kept saying I did it and my color was old. I told him if my color was old how come the lady didn't say anything and the owner continued to call him back tomorrow. I left the place and looked at my nails outside in the natural light which they looked like I did my own color and looked messy. I went back and politely asked them to redo my nails again. They all started to speak their own language together and told me that the lady who did my nail been working at this place for 10 years and I told them that I've been going to them for a long time and I have never complained. The husband and the wife started talking their own language again and told me if I want my money back for my nails, I said yes and the guy gave me my money back and told me not to go back there again. He thought I will recommend them to anyone ever again and I will go back. They are very rude and I would not ever go back. 0 customer respect. I think this is a very good nail place. Fast. And they don't try to sell you useless services that add to the money. A very basic place. The nails are good there. And they last longer than most places. And the door is always open, so you don't feel sick. read more

This was a total waste of my time :( my appointment was at 3:15 pm. I got there at 3:13 and ended up waiting an hour before getting up and leaving. What makes it even worse is that they ignored me only to lie to me about my appointment. Not sure how the techs do nails but the service was a huge disappointment. The nail technicians helping me today did a great job. They were friendly and gentle and worked quickly without sacrificing the quality of my manicure and pedicure. The reason for the low review is because of management essentially kicking me out a few minutes after the technicians finished while my nails and toenails were still wet from the polish! I understand that during covid, in order for them to operate they must be at limited capacity and make sure they don't go over capacity. However, this doesn't mean kicking out your paying customers while they are waiting for their nails to dry in order to quickly turn over seats and bring in new customers. You need to give you customers time after their manicures and pedicures for the polish to dry and account for that wait time when taking in new customers. I can't tell you how awkward and uncomfortable it was fumbling around trying to put my shoes on and grab my wallet and pay the technicians while my nails and toenails were still wet from the polish. I know that I'm not the only person that would have an issue with this. It's frustrating ruining a manicure and pedicure 5 minutes after you get it. To the management: please account for the time it will take to complete a manicure and pedicure and for the time it takes to dry. Customers who are waiting need to know that the wait times will be a bit longer due to the new covid regulations. Don't sacrifice the quality of your work because you're still trying to turn over customers quickly. read more

Been going here for 4 years. Until the last six months everything was good there with service. Now My appts get bumped Around.Doesn't matter when I make an appointment I always go in and have to wait now and sometimes they tell me they called me to confirm my appointments but they lie because I've never gotten a missed call or a message from them. It's the worst service and worst Management ever and Tom the receptionist even hangs up on you in middle of conversation when he know he's lied to you. I will never go back there again I'm truly disappointed after four years of going here. Mary and Ve were great technicians but management sucks! read more

I had Tine/Tina( I couldn't understand her name) and she did an amazing job on my gel manicure! It lasted 3 weeks , didn't crack or peel! She was amazing! i also had Lee who did my pedicure! I have very sensitive feet and she was very gentle which made me happy! I currently get my gel nails done by Hannah and I have to say they stay on for 3 weeks and don't ever crack. She is amazing! I also get my pedicure with Vicky! She specializes in ingrown nails and I literally am with her for two hours! She is amazing and was really sweet to take me as her client. read more

So unprofessional! I came here and the service is awful, changing the prices on you or avoiding questions. They wanted to charge me double the price of my manicure for a gel polish removal. Then when my nails came out goopy and thick, I had to ask them to file it down three times. They used a UV top coat that changed the color or my nails completely and refused to fix it. I've never been so unimpressed. My nails are already chipping and peeeeling after one day! read more

I came here to get a full set and a pedicure. The pedicure was done pretty good. Now the full set was a disaster, she ripped off half on my real nail literally off. She glue the fake nail right onto the exposed meat. She had NO idea how to properly remove an old set of nails. She made the L hand medium length and the R hand XL long. The nails had hardened acrylic all over under the nails. The nails had been filled all uneven. My thumb nail was glued on sideways I told her if she could fix it she ignored me looked at it and left it. The French tip was all streaked and sideways the nail polish was all thick and uneven. No discount for ripping off half my nail to the meat. It took me forever to fix them at home. I never leave reviews but this one needed to be written i was appalled. read more

I didn't need an appointment. That is always a plus. I did however show up on a Friday around noon, I had the day off before a week long vacation. I decided to get my toes did since I would be rocking flip flops all week. Service was friendly enough and this place seemed clean. Not the most modern of places, but felt more welcoming then many of the nail spots on Ventura blvd. I left with bright blue toe nails and soft feet. Two weeks later, the polish is still on. I am rough with my nails so I think this is pretty impressive. read more

I can't express how happy I am to have found Sandy. She does my nails exactly how I like them done - very natural, fast & to perfection. I've done regular mani/pedi and gel manicure with her and although I haven't tried other nail techs, I refuse to leave her. My go to nail place! The only thing I don't like is the fact that they don't put bags in the pedicure tubs. It drives me crazy knowing that they just emptied the water and filled it up for the next person so I no longer get my feet done here. I do know they sanitize their tools but the tub, I just can't get over it. This nail salon is on Ventura but it's pretty low maintenance compared to other nail salons. I wish they would upgrade the salon to look more visually nice. read more

Extra parking lot on top of the building! I work at an animal hospital where, as you can assume, I wash my hands a million times a day. I also handle a lot of gross things so I don't want or need long gorgeous nails to get said gross things stuck under them. I DO need strong nails so cats can't bite through them and dogs can't break them off. My first time here a woman looked at my nails (acrylics for 9 years on and 2 years off at tjisnppint.but still weak) and recommended gel. Now I know gel is the trend right now and I heard it's strong without damaging your nails as bad as acrylic so I gave it a try. It looked pretty, she did her job but 6 or so days and 590 hand washings later my thumb nails started to peel off and I can't just let things gradually destruct so I peeled Em off. My nails looked JUST as bad as after I peel off acrylics so I don't fall for the gel anymore. That being said the real review is that my nail tech hannah gets it. I need them super super short so that I can't see any peeking over my fingertips and sometimes I come in with my hands looking a hot mess with nails broken off. She never speaks in a language I don't understand to her friends around her about it (yay!) And never tries to convince me to just do gel or says "you should have long beautiful nails" like some other places have. I get water under them sometimes and she has to pull them off and does so as gently as you possibly can manage (it's never going to be painless) they usually last unless I have a really rough 2 weeks and they have a wide variety of nail colours. Ok so I'm not going to bad mouth this place because I was a loyal customer for 3 years. I will say that for the prices they have and the extremely high volume, this place does a great job. For the most part. So what's the issue you ask? This past summer my left thumb was badly infected. I was on two different antibiotics and completely stopped doing my nails. When I finally thought the infection cleared, I went for a swim while visiting Europe. Bad idea.. it seemed to flare up almost immediately. For the next 4 days I was in and out of doctors offices and put on another 7 days of antibiotics. Ruined my trip! They are pretty busy so I can 100% guarantee they are not sterilizing tools in between customers so just be careful guys. Good prices isn't worth a finger or toe. Lol. read more

Hannah and Helen did my nails and feet. Hannah did a great job! I love the shape. She listened to my direction. Only thing is she accidentally nicked me with the file but that's ok. She still did a great job and was very nice! Helen did my toes, I got Gel on both my nails and feet. Helen carefully removed my ingrown toe nail on both big toes and they both finished me in under an hour. Very impressive! I'll be coming back very soon. read more

I went in for a gel pedicure & manicure on 6/2/21. I paid for services $68. I didn't get my gel on my feet because I told them I had an appointment with the podiatrist the next day. So, I made an appointment for the next day. However, my podiatrist inform me that I had a fungus developed from getting my nails & feet done. So I went to the shop to cancel my appointment and get a refund for not getting the gel on my feet. The owner only gave me $10 back which was not right. I will never go back there and I beg you to never pay them any money in advance. They will keep your money! read more

I've been a regular customer for years with a STANDING FIRST 10am APPOINTMENT every other Sunday..They are now booking earlier 9 am appointments. When I arrived at 9:50 this morning, the owner decided to give the two open seats to walkins instead of one to me and another regular appointment lady that I knew was due there any minute as well. At 10...no chair for me. No word from anyone how long it would be. My technician who is usually quite lovely and the ONLY reason I still went there-since this has happened before-didn't seem to care or do anything to help. I just left-no one cared. Next time they have a slow Sunday, they'll be wondering why they weren't more loyal to regular customers, the ones who followed them from the original shop when they started their new one. I helped start their business by following them, how quickly folks forget. I drive 25 minutes to go there, now I'll find someone closer who wants my business. Shame that long term customers take a back seat for a quick buck. Seats should have been saved for the appointments and the walkins should have waited. I'll miss Anne, but they should have taken better care of her long-term client. I have never posted a Yelp review, but felt this needed to be said. This may be the WORST salon in all of LA! ‍ I walked over while getting a car wash to get a gel manicure. The woman who did my manicure was quite lovely. But FIVE days later the polish had completely chipped from four of the fingers. I'm not particularly hard on my manicures, i get them regularly every two weeks and have to have the gel removed. When I went back the ladies were extremely rude, they offered to help me if I payed full price and got a completely new manicure. When I said I wasn't interested in doing that, they said I would need to make an appt to just repair the damaged nails. Moral of the story, if you have a good salon don't stray, def don't test this spot!! read more

This has been my go to nail salon for years but I will not be going back…read more When I first moved out here, I fell in love with my nail tech Cathy (and Tammy, hey girl!) and havent been able to look back despite a multitude of issues at the business but I can't in good conscience go back anymore. I have had repeated issues from the owner Suzy constantly DOUBLE BOOKING my nail appt time and causing longer than usual wait times. As someone in a high pressure job with little windows for self care, it has constantly put a strain on my ability to enjoy these appointments and let alone even get the service i'd planned for. I've put up with this behavior for as long as I can but ever since my favorite techs have left, I will not be stepping my foot back in at the shop. (Shoutout Tammy and Cathy, miss your nails every day). Guess i'm back to shopping for a new salon now. Might even be worth switching neighborhoods just to have some reliability!

The first few visits were okay until my 4th time there . One of the nail techs burned my 2nd toe closest to the big one . When I asked her what was that on my toe she told me I had bumped my toe against something . Now a little back ground on me . I am a foot girly I do not play about my feet whatsoever . I get my feet done consistently every 6weeks . I'm very gentle on my feet . I went to the receptionist and told the girl there that I was burned . This was on March 23rd . I didn't make a big eck about it at the time but the host was very unapologetic . She didn't even offer me a discount that day for my services but I gave them benefit of the doubt because I know how busy and difficult it can be to work with guests. So I left . We discussed that hopefully that the burn mark would be gone by my next appointment . However when I returned the next month it was still there . So I didn't allow anyone to do my feet . Then I went to my previous nail tech to have her take the polish off and clean my toes up because I was a bit iffy on letting oh la la do my feet again . I wanted them polished though at oh la la because they do have a good nail color selection . So I went back to get a manicure because I love the way Tina does my hands . As I was there this time I did make an official complaint about my toe being burned she then offered to comp 90$ against my service for my manicure . However I was refused nail polish on my feet that had no product or nothing on them . Which I can understand because of the incident but I was still willing to try someone differently at oh la la to get it right and I still was willing to spend money with them despite the hiccup . I waited two weeks with no nail polish on my feet because I was told that I would have to get a full service and no nail polish . I called to schedule an appointment . I asked them for a really good pedicure girl . One after I booked my appointment I was texted that I was denied future appointments there at oh la la . I still don't know why . I never yelled at anyone there . And I was really nice about them burning my toe and still wanted to go there . I don't know if this is a racial issue . But if you are a girl of color this isn't the place for you . They are only tending to their own kind in there . And they were very dismissive . I hate the experience ended on a bad note after I was still trying to book an appointment and still support this salon. I even referred a few friends there . I will also be telling them to not support a salon who handles their clients poorly . Apparently my money is not worthy there .

I called and was pleased they take Zelle, I let them know I'd be by in 30 minutes. When I arrived, everyone was so welcoming. I chose the Deluxe 1 pedi with gel for $60. The service was not rushed and the tech Wendy was extremely thorough. Because I was trying to match a color, she even finished one toe completely before asking if it was ok to continue with the rest. The massage was the best I've had. My pedicure was perfect, very detail oriented. The facility was clean and there were many regulars that came in, the staff welcomed them by name. I would 100% come here again, next time I am in town. I might even go out of my way just to come here again!
