Amazing!!! Super small little place but they are so good. I've been coming here for about 6 months now (once every 3 weeks) because that's how long my gel manicures last Occasional chipping but I work in a bar so it should be way more frequent. They are so sweet and nice. Again, super small, no frills, but freakin quality nail salon!! Angry women and the costumer service is very bad! They don't have time or patience to treat you for something you are paying. Best gel manicure and waxing EVER. I moved away from the area and tried several local salons in my new neighborhood. I was disappointed every time. Either the time I spent there was too long with wait time and / or slow service, or the gel manicure barely lasted 9 days. To relieve myself from the above frustration, I now travel 30 min each way to North Hollywood Nails. Not only for spectacular nails, but for perfect eyebrows as well. For those of you who can identify,I am very quirky about my hair my eyebrows and my nails and my toenails so when I say I have tried pretty much every nail salon in North Hollywood and Hollywood you can believe me. I work at East LA College in Monterey Park and on that side of town there is a nail salon every hundred feet and they probably charge half of what I pay over here in North Hollywood. How ever North Hollywood nails is hands-down the most professional the most sanitary the most honest and customer focused nail salon I've ever been to and that's why even when I move, I will drive back over here to see Holly who is the owner and Lily who I call Dr. Lily because she's amazing with ingrown toenails and Kathy who is one of the happiest people I've ever met. Holly and her crew run a great shop it's small and you're best off with an appointment but I got to tell you they are the real deal and they are fair priced and they do great work so if you haven't tried them yet do yourself a favor and give them a try you won't regret it just wanna let y'all know!!! :-) read more

I had a bad experience here today. Pedicure. Told them I had an ingrown nail. Instead of cutting it away, she grabbed and PULLED at it. EXCRUCIATING pain. She did it repeatedly, in spite of my discomfort. Then she asked about callous removal, usually part of a pedicure. I agreed to it. I've have had my nails done here before, and today really exciting when in for acrylic nails. I ended up going for acrylic with gel. It was the worst decision ever. Whoever was doing my nails left them so thick, she left me a lump of acrylic under my nails, and disregarded whatever I said. She was hurting me, and at the end I ended up paying $35 for a terrible job. I tipped both the workers twice and they still acted put out when they had to fix my nails and insulted me in Vietnamese, of which I speak a little. They are fake nice to you until you pay. Pedicure technology was so old and crappy. They have you sit awkwardly and roll around in an office chair while you're getting your pedicure. Super cute nails! I did my nails last Tuesday because I was going to a road trip and I wanted them done for Valentines Day. I asked for short square nails and this is what I got. For the nail art, it was a last minute thought and if I thought about it more I would've asked for a more detailed design. The ladies there were so nice and patient. I even brought my toddler and I know that's a big no no, but they were patient and kind to my son. My mother in law got her pedicure and they did her toe nails design beautifully because she knew what she wanted. Visit: 11/23/2016. My regular place was overbooked, so I settled for this one and decided to give it a try. Clean interiors. Fast and easy accommodation, even for a last minute appointment. However, I was not all too pleased with the nail technician I got when I went to this place. She was stubborn even if I kept telling her that the coat of polish she applied was uneven and splotchy. Instead of removing the layer, fixing the consistency of the polish (i've seen other salons do this, they apply a few drops of polish thinner into the bottle, not a big deal for me) and then reapplying. She just kept putting on layer after layer of polish and tried to fix it with a top coat. Eventually, one of my fingernails got caught in my hair when she asked me to change seats so I could dry off. Naturally, the polish creased. She was making it look like it was all on me and I should stop being fidgety, when the truth of the matter was it wouldn't have had that problem if the coat wasn't so thick. (I'm usually really careful with manicures) She insisted on fixing it again via top coat. When it dried, there was a split in the middle of the nail and a bubble. It took some convincing for her to redo the nail, and eventually she did - but not without complaining. Another reason why i'm really dissatisfied is that when she was working on my toes she had removed an ingrown nail without asking me. I never have my ingrown nails removed. After I told her I didn't want it done, she did this thing where she patted me on my legs as if to say it wasn't a big deal and she did me a favor. My toe still hurts up to now. In the end, my nails turned out okay. Not great. But okay. But only after I played squeaky wheel and got the service I needed. I'm willing to give this place another try, but with a better technician - someone kinder, who listens and understands and who knows a thing or two about customer service. read more

The nail polish that they use is very cheap. It will chip off right away. I have gotten my acrylics done here maybe once or twice, but the material used is cheap as well. I had a horrible experience where I needed to get my acrylics removed, and my nail was basically ripping off. The only reason I had my acrylics done here was, because my regular nail tech wasn't available at her shop. One plus though is that Holly who is the owner does amazing eyebrows. read more

Holly is amazing!! Only go to Holly! She is fast but precise so don't let the pace scare you. She saw one of her colleagues take off my previous gel polish so badly that she actually ripped of a layer of my nail off and she immediate took over. She didn't even charge me for the silk wrap (a faux layer of nail) that had to be placed on my nail in place. Would have given a 4 but if Holly wasn't there, I basically would have been screwed. I will say that the lady who mangled my nails was very nice. I almost feel bad writing this review. But I went there because it had a four star rating. I find most people who leave negative reviews on yelp are overly picky and just like to bitch when things aren't 100% perfect. And there are a lot who like to write those kinds of reviews. So with that, I figured without a bunch of bitching and moaning about this place they must be pretty good. Sadly I have never had a worse experience at a nail salon, ever! I went to have some acrylics removed that I got for a friend's wedding. I decided that I wanted them removed and went in to have that done and finish with a basic manicure. I was under no illusion that having had them was going to mean some damage to my nails. I had read a lot on the internet about removing them myself, but decided to mitigate the damage and leave that to a professional. I wish I had done it myself. First of all she didn't leave the acetone on my nails nearly long enough to properly loosen the glue. Which resulted in her ripping one of my nails right off. She proceeded to grind the rest down, and managed to grind quite a bit of the surface of my own nails in the process. Then instaed of giving them a nice even filing she filed them not only different lengths, but every single nail was crooked. Some were even pointed. And I don't mean in the intentional style some like to wear. I mean with points off to the side. She then asked if that was okay to polish. I said noooooo look at that one is uneven. So is this one and that one. So she files them shorter, and still uneven. Then filed the rest to match in length, well not really matching in length, but shorter, and shorter as I keep showing her they aren't even. The pictures I am downloading are at the point I decided I would just clip and file them at home when once again she was ready to polish them. She was wearing glasses. Maybe she needs a new prescription. Maybe she is one of those people who just has no sense of symmetry. Whatever the reason. She apparently couldn't tell they were a mangled mess. When I told her not to bother to polish and that I was just going to leave I saw the other women looking at us. Not one of them offered to look at my nails to see if: I was just being overly picky and in a bad mood, or if maybe they should offer to help fix them. I paid $17 dollars for the painful removal and the half finished manicure as well as a $5 tip I gave before the manicure was finished. I didn't ask for my money back because she did spend a lot of time and effort to destroy my nails. :( read more

Horrible experience. I was charged full price for half the service. I came in for a manicure with gel and pedicure. I was in the salon max 30min. I started in the spa chair and 5 min laters my pedicure was stopped to do my manicure. The lady walked in with a bucket put it on the floor and that was my pedicure. The minimum was done. I understand trying to get people in and out. They have to make their money but at least give the customer the option. My hands and feet are dry. The lotion and oil was cheap.
