    The kitchen and dining area!

If I could give 10 stars, I would without hesitation to this phenomenal evening spent with Chef Bob Waggoner. My children bought me this treat for Mother's Day and the three of us spent our evening with about eight others for this dining/cooking extravaganza. The kitchen has the finest equipment with about 8 to 10 burners and ovens. A beautiful dining, space, and a separate prep spot. We were greeted with champagne while the chef introduced himself and chatted with each couple/group before the evening got started. What a cool experience. I was a little nervous to say the least about cooking in front of him, but he guided us, sharing tips for making a better meal at home. We had fabulous wine pairings with each course. The whole evening was absolutely outstanding and I have to say a wonderful memorable gift for anyone who loves fine, dining, and good healthy food. I cannot believe I've lived in Charleston for so long and had never heard about this experience. I will definitely be spreading the word. The concept is just genius. If you are on the fence about booking this for someone who themselves love to cook... go for it, 10/10

What a great experience! My husband and I went for our anniversary and really had a great time. Chef Bob is so personable and tells great stories. He gives you tips on how to cook, but isn't Gordon Ramsay if you don't do it "his way." Food is fresh that day, so you won't know in advance what you are cooking, but when you make the reservation you can tell him about allergies, so that can be avoided. Wine is included for each course as well. You sit at a lovely table set for 12 and everyone just enjoys themselves. Definitely worth doing and we will go again.

My fiancé and I took Bob Waggoner's cooking class for his birthday, and it was wonderful! We met some fun people, drank lots of wine, and learned how to create some delicious dishes. Chef Waggoner is very skilled and knows a lot about working in and around the kitchen. He has some great stories to tell about all of his travels and experiences with food and wine! The actual venue was clean and setup very nicely for the evening. There were 10 people total in the class, and our dining tables were all separated out (for Covid purposes.) Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys food and wants to do something a little more interactive while in Charleston!

Very enjoyable evening with Chef Bob and a few other local couples. The food was very good. Easy enough to prepare. Chef Bob had some great cooking techniques tips. He is quite the entertainer as well- wonderful stories of his experiences working in top kitchens around the world. Pandemic Related: We were able to maintain a safe distance from one another and had our own stations and handled and cooked all our own food. Even with social distancing it was still an enjoyable evening.

This is a gem for the city of Charleston. On top of learning to cook a 3 course meal, eating each course was delicious, the wine pairings were perfect. The chef has a wonderful personality and great stories to share.

I can't say enough good things about Chef Bob's kitchen. My friend talked me into signing up for this, her husband is really into cooking so for them It was a no brainer, for me however, not so much. I love good food but I have little interest in cooking it however after this awesome evening I found myself more willing to give cooking a try. Chef Bob showed us some easy tricks and tips, I couldn't believe the amazing food I was eating was cooked by yours truly. This class made cooking fun and not so scary. I would recommend this to everyone and anyone who enjoys excellent food, great wine and fun with friends.

Bob has better experience than most any of the top chefs you read about but still makes you feel right at home like a friend hosting you at his place. Unpretentious and the life of the party. The food and wine were beyond delicious and you really do come away with learning so much about what you're doing and why. We made 3 different dishes that I will absolutely be trying to recreate for years to come. Such a fun night!

I got to take Chef Bob's cooking class last night and wow what a fantastic experience! My in-laws purchased a ticket for me for my birthday last year so it only took me 4 months to find the time (and an open spot) to go. I tried to convince my husband to go with me (I don't like going solo to anything...it makes my introverted self nervous) but he didn't want to spend money on the admittedly expensive ticket. So... alone I went. I ended up having a great time and it wasn't an issue that I didn't have a +1; if anything, it worked to my advantage (on the entree dish everyone else had to share a pan but I got my own). Chef Bob did a great job with setting the ambiance of the space- lots of natural light from the windows while it is still light out, the player grand piano played music, the beautiful table setting. It all created such an elegant yet still somehow a casual feel. I was pretty envious of the tableware- the china is GORG! And, he has specially made signature flatware. Pretty cool. The evening was a great opportunity to get ideas for a nice dinner with guests, maybe for Easter or some other special event. On to the food- upon arrival Chef had everything individually portioned out for us so that we really only did minor knife work like slicing the 1/4 onion or bell pepper strips. For each course, he walked us through the ingredients, sent us to the cooktops, walked us through cooking and then we got to sit down and enjoy the fruits of our labor. Each course came with a tasting of wine paired for the dish (as they called it in the reservation) which really ended up being a full glass of wine (yay!). Throughout, Chef was entertaining us with stories of his time in France, his tv shows, and his life as well as giving us practical knowledge like how to properly place food in a pan to avoid splattering yourself with hot oil, what his favorite cooking oil is, or how to make a great sauce for any meal. He didn't mind in the slightest that we were all photographing the evenings events, food, ingredients, etc. He does not provide recipe cards or a menu for the evening so if you want to remember what or how you made the food then snapping pictures is the easiest way to go about it. We had one attendee that had a nut allergy and Chef was prepared ahead of time to accomodate her allergy. There must have been a place to make a note to the chef in the reservation but I didn't notice it. Plan ahead!! The spots fill up quickly! Only 12 seats per class.

I am fortunate to have experienced some great food and events but this rates as one of the best experiences ever!! The interior is well designed, spacious and the details of antique China and fresh flowers is beautiful! The best of all was Chef Bob! His personality and cooking skills and tips were by far the best lessons I have learned! What a tremendous personality. We all loved our time in his kitchen and especially getting to know him. Dinner was amazing. Best meal we have had in town and we are eating at some fine dining $$$ this trip!

What a great experience! From the ease of reserving time to the actual event, the entire thing was top notch. Chef Bob was the ultimate host and couldn't have been more hospitable and entertaining. We did a team builder with 7 of us and the whole evening was a perfect night. The food was delicious, wine was wonderful and the conversation kept us laughing. We learned a ton of short cuts and cooked the most delicious swordfish and steak. Chef Bob was the perfect host and I would highly recommend this for a celebration, a team event or any excuse to eat great food and hang with a chef!!

Amazing night!!! Highly recommend. I took my father here as a birthday gift (he loves to cook and try to tips/tricks in the kitchen) and was not disappointed. He high-fived/thanked me about a dozen times throughout the evening. Chef Bob is great - not only did he walk us step by step through each course but he had plenty of entertaining anecdotes and tips/tricks from his many years as Chef. It was fun, and the 3 hours we were there FLEW by! Food was delicious too - he accommodated my shellfish allergy with a yummy substitute (chicken :D). He made sure to check on everyone as we went along. It was a great evening - I will definitely be back!!

Took a class to celebrate a friend's birthday. Chef Bob is really personable and makes things easy, especially if you're not up to par with your cooking skills. He takes time to get to know you and make sure you're comfortable. Recipes were easy and ingredients were things you can easily find at a grocery store. Would definitely recommend this cooking class for special occasions or if you just want to pick up a new skill/recipe.
